What does it mean to speak in third person? (Illeism)
Third person = "the absent": someone who is neither speaking nor being spoken to. These terms are used to classify words according to who they refer to: as you mention in the question, when it comes to pronouns, I and we belong to the first person, you to the second, and he/she/it/they to the third person.

In everyday speech

Illeism in everyday speech can have a variety of intentions depending on context. One common usage is to impart humility, a common practice in feudal societies and other societies where honorifics are important to observe ("Your servant awaits your orders"), as well as in masterslave relationships ("This slave needs to be punished"). Recruits in the military, mostly United States Marine Corpsrecruits, are also often made to refer to themselves in the third-person, such as "the recruit," in order to reduce the sense of individuality and enforce the idea of the group being more important than the self. The use of illeism in this context imparts a sense of lack of self, implying a diminished importance of the speaker in relation to the addressee or to a larger whole. Counselor has promised "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out"
John 6:37.

2 Peter 1:4 and  John 20:31 are on the same theme - claiming the Bible promises! point us to Christ!

Galatians 3:21 "Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law."

The Purpose of the Law
20Now a mediator is not for one party only; whereas God is only one. 21Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.22But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.…

Luke 20:16
He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others." When the people heard this, they said, "God forbid!"

2 Corinthians 3:7
Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was,

Galatians 2:17
"But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn't that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not!

Galatians 2:21
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

Galatians 6:14
May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Hebrews 7:18
The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless

Hebrews 7:19
(for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

THE WORD OF GOD (Holy Scriptures/Jesus/risen transforming Life of Christ) IS A EDUCATING TRANSFORMING POWER LIKE NO OTHER.

The Divine Counselor

When in trouble, many think they must appeal to some earthly friend, telling him their perplexities, and begging for help. Under trying circumstances unbelief fills their hearts, and the way seems dark. And all the time there stands beside them the mighty Counselor of the ages, inviting them to place their confidence in Him. Jesus, the great Burden Bearer, is saying, “Come unto Me, and I will give you rest.” Shall we turn from Him to uncertain human beings, who are as dependent upon God as we ourselves are?  The sharp focus is on only three persons—you, God and His only begotten Son. Oh, if I had only done this years ago I would have avoided many disappointments and discouragements. Never again am I going to allow my religion to become complicated or confusing.

One-to-one contact with God through His Son Jesus, forming a bond and friendship that can never be broken is actually what religion is all about. It's just that simple. Just imagine, the very best friend you have is the One and only God who created this whole vast universe through His Son Jesus Christ. Wow! Can you bend your mind around that? "And this is LIFE ETERNAL, that they might KNOW thee the only true Godand Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3

For those who say, it's a mystery and you cannot "understand" or truly KNOW God: consider this text straight from the mouth of God Himself: Jer 9:24 says "
but let him who boasts (brags) boast (brag) of this, that he UNDERSTANDS and KNOWS Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the LORD."

We can KNOW and UNDERSTAND GOD more intimately than we do our earthly spouse. Knowing God and His Son is electrifying, transforming our MIND to become Divine Minds like His Mind. Holy. Perfect. Without Spot. Acceptable unto God. God has promised to DO THIS FOR US - if we only come to Him and surrender ALL - we are only giving up what is rightfully His in the first place! He has bought us already. We are HIS purchased possession. This NEW sin-free mind is ours simply for the asking. Say "Take me Oh Lord as Wholly Thine. I lay ALL MY PLANS at thy feet. Use me today in THY service. Abide with ME and LET ALL my work be wrought in Thee!"

Do this EVERY SINGLE MORNING. Spend time feeding and drinking the Word of God early every morning. THIS IS THE KEY TO ETERNAL LIFE.

Come to Jesus just as you are daily. Early. Fill your vessel/mind from the crystal clear Heavenly springs of eternal truth early every single morning. Feed your starving skinny soul from the Word of God every single day. Read it. Listen to it. Feed upon God's mind which is the Bible verse promises that we are to memorize and claim daily for help from our fleshly desires. God has promised to MAKE us holy perfect acceptable to God if we only claim His promises! See 2 Peter 1:4, Luke 21:15, James 3:2, Jude 24, Zech 3:4. There are hundreds of verses we should be tracing our fingers over and claiming every day over our individual situations. THIS IS HOW TO BECOME HOLY LIKE GOD. Learning present truth and implementing it into our daily choices.

Moment by moment. IF you are tempted. Say to God, I need your help right now my Father in the name of your Son who died for me. You said if I resist the devil He will flee from me. I am resisting by asking for your strength just now my Father, my Heavenly Daddy. I come to you just now as a child begging for help from His Daddy. You have promised Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out. I am presenting myself to you just now. Make me Holy, perfect, acceptable to you right now I pray. Take away this carnal nature thought. I resist the devil in your strength in the name of your Son who died for me. Thank you for giving me the victory over ____ just now. Amen.

What we NEED is not our own useless faith - but rather the faith OF Jesus!

The faith OF Jesus IS claiming precious Bible promises (2 Peter 1:4/Luke 21:15/John 6:37) as our very own ticket to Heaven. Tracing our fingers over them and praying them over ourselves, friends and family - even our enemies! Pray for our enemies. God says to do this. Praise God for our trials. It is these trials that truly are our greatest blessing. In the heat of the battle it's hard to remember - but this is what we must do. In ALL things give thanks for this is the will of God concerning you.

Job 22:26 "For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God."

Silver words - hence the term "silver tongued devil"? silver words (spirit= MY WORDS ARE SPIRIT John 6:63) glimmering in the light of truth is what HIS messengers speak. These messages / words will become more decided and more plainly spoken as the end approaches. The pearl of great price is the Word of God (precious promises 2 Peter 1:4) given to us to speak forth in encouragement to others. In doing so, we become fitted for Heaven ourselves.

" 'The words that I speak are spirit and life' John 6:63. Christ is not here referring to His doctrine, but to His person, the divinity of His character.” 1 Selected Messages p. 249

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. (Proverbs 25:11)
Some are seen to come forth from their daily communion with God clothed with the meekness of Christ. Their words ... come forth sweetly from their lips. They scatter seeds of love and kindness all along their path, ... because Christ lives in their heart.

The tongue needs to be educated and disciplined and trained to speak of the glories of heaven, to talk of the matchless love of Jesus.

There are souls who err, and who feel their shame and their folly. They are hungry for words of encouragement. They look upon their mistakes and errors until they are almost driven to desperation. Instead of ... reproving and condemning and taking away the last ray of hope that the Sun of Righteousness sheds into their hearts, let your words fall as healing balm upon the bruised soul. Be not like desolating hail that beats down and destroys the tender hope springing up in the hearts. Leave not the hungry, starving soul in his helplessness to perish because you fail to speak words of tenderness and encouragement.

The most persuasive eloquence is the word that is spoken in love and sympathy. Such words will bring light to confused minds and hope to the discouraged, brightening the prospect before them. The time in which we live calls for vital, sanctified energy; for earnestness, zeal, and the tenderest sympathy and love; for words that will not increase misery, but will inspire faith and hope. We are homeward bound, seeking a better country, even an heavenly. Instead of speaking words which will rankle in the breasts of those that hear, shall we not speak of the love wherewith God hath loved us? Shall we not try to lighten the hearts of those around us by words of Christlike sympathy?

Those who love Jesus Christ will contemplate His character (meekness=quiet obedience), meditate upon His words, practice His precepts, and become living missionaries. The words they speak will be like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

2) If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated BOTH me and my Father. John 15:24

3) Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them BOTH. Zechariah 6:13

4) "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my wordsand my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." John 14:23 Notice this verse only mentions two beings.

"Protestantism is reaching out its hands to clasp hands with popery, and every indication makes manifest that the prophecies are about to be fulfilled. And now men are looking upon those who keep the commandments of God and the faith OF Jesus (claim Bible promises), to see what will be their course. O that all may arouse, and manifest to the world that this is a living faith, that a vital issue is before the world, that Jesus will soon come. Let men see that we believe we are on the borders of the eternal worldRH February 21, 1893, par. 9.

As many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified). Romans 2:12, 13.

(Ellen White warns, "The Father and the Son ALONE are to be exalted." {The Youth's Instructor, July 7, 1898 par.2})

Stop. Right now. Commit your ways to God alone in the name of His Son. Say "Take me Oh Lord as wholly Thine. I lay ALL my plans at thy feet. Use me today in thy service. Abide with me and let ALL my work be wrought in Thee." Do this 3 times a day. Morning noon and night. Claim Jer 33:3 and watch your mind be transformed into the image of God Himself. Start praising God for answering your prayers. God is a God of creation not evolution. He speaks and IT IS DONE. Salvation is only waiting for our draft upon it. It is done. Let's start claiming these exceedingly great and precious promises as our very own right now. It is like picking leaves off the tree of eternal life and eating them. These Bible promises (example Luke 21:15 and James 3:2, 2 Pet 1:4 and so many more) are for the healing of our bodies/mind from sin.

I am praying for you to be saved no matter what the cost. Look to Jesus. He is the ONLY way, the TRUTH and the Life. No one can be reconciled back to the Father except through God's Son who died for us. He paid the highest bride price ever paid. Let's not let our amazing new mind just vanish away = all we have to do is start claiming these Bible promises and obey them with Christ's help! We cannot do it alone. We need Jesus's help. Like a new Lamborghini sitting in the driveway, let's take it for a spin instead of walking everywhere!

Get your Bible out! Start praying.

“The secret to getting ahead is getting started.”—Mark Twain

Becoming fitted for translation = Holiness is not rapture; it is the result of surrendering all to God; it is living by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God; it is doing the will of our Heavenly Father; it is trusting in God in trial, believing in his promise in the darkness as well as in the light. Religion is to walk by faith as well as by sight, trusting in God with all confidence, and resting in his love.

Dear Saints,

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" 2 Timothy 2:15.

Must Jesus also say "please"?

By prayer, by the study of His word, by faith in His abiding presence, the weakest of human beings may live in contact with the living Christ, and He will hold them by a hand that will never let go.

Say, I come to present myself to God in the name of him (Word of God=commands and promises) who has died for me. I give my heart to Jesus, and I desire his blessing and his Spirit;" and the power (character=thoughts and feelings) of God will come upon you.

"WHEN we LEARN the POWER of His WORD (Jesus), we shall not follow the suggestions of Satan in order to obtain food or to save our livesOur only questions will be, What is God's command? and what His promise?Knowing thesewe shall obey the one, and trust the other" DA121.

Famine is very, very soon coming to America. Russia, China...

"It would be well for us to spend a thoughtful hour each day in contemplation of the life of Christ. We should take it point by point, and let the imagination grasp each scene, especially the closing ones. As we thus dwell upon His great sacrifice for us, ourconfidence in Him will be more constantour love will bequickened (first signs of life in pregnancy=a fetus Christian imbued *impregnated* with the very life/soul of Christ), and we shall be more deeply imbued (impregnated) with His (Christ's own holy) spirit (Christ's WORDS! Divinity of Christ in us)If we would be saved at last, we must learn the lesson of penitence and humiliation at the foot of the cross" DA 83.

"penitence" definitionthe action of feeling or showing sorrow and regret for having done wrong; repentance. Turn about face and do wrong no more by invoking the Spirit of Christ into your Spirit body house. 1 John 3:9!

"humiliation" definition: the action of humiliating someone or the state of being humiliated. "they suffered the humiliation of losing in the opening round" synonyms: embarrassment, mortification, shame, indignity, ignominy, disgrace, discomfiture, dishonor, degradation, discredit, belittlement, opprobrium; loss of face; informal blow to one's pride/ego, slap in the face, kick in the teeth, comedown "the humiliation of having been left at the altar"

It is the beauty of holiness, a meek and quiet spirit, which is of value with God. Meekness means quiet cheerful obedience to the Words/Commands of Christ. There is only one path to Paradise restored,--the path of obedience.

What great riches and rewards await those who do obey cheerfully and quietly! With the Spirit of Christ in you, the more closely you resemble Christ in Spirit and in Truth = the Third Angel's Message found in Rev 14:9-12, the more power is given to you to exercise on behalf of your fellow man. The POWER to heal. The Power of the Spirit of Christ in you is real true happiness, love, joy and peace.

Christians are to be like tea kettles, up to their necks in boiling water and still singing! Not a fake song, but a real song...because they KNOW trials and problems are ONLY given to us to make us Holy, perfect!

"I prayed that we might be baptized into Christ's sufferings, that we might not shrink at trials, but bear them with patience and joy, knowing what Jesus had suffered that we through His poverty and sufferings might be made rich. Said the angel, "Deny self; ye must step fast" Early Writings, p. 67.2 (Ellen G. White).

Do you desire to become a follower of Christ, yet know not how to begin?

Are you in darkness and know not how to find the light?

Follow the light you have. Set your heart to obey what you do know of the word of God. His power, His very life, dwells in His word (Jesus=law of God written to our hearts desires, the little choices we make each day). As you receive the word in faith, it will give you power to obey. As you give heed to the light you have, greater light will come. You are building on God's word, and your character (thoughts and feelings) will be builded after the similitude of the character of Christ.

"God's people are not prepared for the loud cry of the third angel (Revelation 14:9-12). . . . Gluttony is the prevailing sin of this age"—Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 32.

"Those who neglect to search the Scriptures, choosing rather to read books of sceptical writers, or of writers who are frivolous or worldly, will be tempted to neglect prayer, to withdraw from religious meetings, to invest money in cheap literature, and will so educate themselves that all taste for the sacred oracles will be erased from the mind. Thus will they be led to refuse to hear, to refuse to incline the heart to seek God while he may be found, to call upon him while he is near, while he is still sending messages of reproof, warning, and entreaty. They say to all the tender entreaties of God's Spirit, "Not now; I will go into another city, and buy and sell and get gain; and after that I will begin a new life." O do not be deceived by this suggestion of the enemy to wait, and that after a time you will repent. The longer you put it off, the less will be your inclination to turn to God, and obey the invitations of mercy. The most discouraging development in your case is the very fact that you say, "Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee." This is an evidence that conscience has become aroused, and then put to sleep again with an opiateBut think of this;--conscience may neverwake again! While God grants you life, while you are sure of probationembrace your day of opportunity and privilege" YI DEC.07,1893.

"One passage studied until its significance is clear to the mind and its relation to the plan of salvation is evidentis of more value than the perusal of many chapters with no definite purpose in view and no positive instruction gained. Keep your Bible with you. As you have opportunity, read it; fix the texts in your memory. Even while you are walking the streets you may read a passage and meditate upon it, thus fixing it in mind" RH JUN.11, 1908 (HP 138).

Grammatical errors in thought or in translating and changes made to words cause many to lose out on eternal life. Because of a wrong idea formed by surface study, not a deep diligent study of God's Word; allows many to accept the teachings of wolves in sheeps clothing. None need be lost if they truly seek after the Pearl of Great Price.

Learned men have in some instances changed the words of God's servants writings, thinking that they were making it more plain, when in reality they were mystifying that which was plain, by causing it to lean to their established views, which were governed by tradition, man's ideas and philosophy instead of God's ideas, a gift given to us straight from heaven through His chosen channel/medium.

These grammatical errors are caused by lack of diligent study in knowing the language of God in Heaven and even our own Mother tongues.

The majority of Christians have been deceived by this simple error:

Example 1) Christ often spoke of Himself in grammatical Third Person called Illeism (a linguistic form or the group of linguistic forms referring to this grammatical person, as certain verb forms, pronouns, etc. See more here: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=third+person+definition or just search for the phrase "third person definition" on Google.com). He spoke of  (John 14:16) "another Comforter" speaking of Himself...clearly brought out in verse 18 that "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you". If read in CONTEXT, reading a text or two before John 14:16 and continuing to verse 18 it plainly reads so we can understand that Christ often spoke of Himself in third person! Many do not enter in at the narrow gate and most followers of wolves in sheep's clothing will be lost because they bow, pray, sing and worship and invite another spirit besides Christ to enter their body spirit house. John 14:17 is very clearly Christ speaking of Himself, because all of the Words Christ spoke were given to him of God and Christ spoke nothing of His own, only the Words His Father and God gave Him to speak.

The apostle says, "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope" Romans 15:4.

Jesus said, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of ME" John 5:39.

The Spirit of Jesus IN US, IS OUR COMFORTER! THE "comfort of the Scriptures" is the Word of God IN US! The Spirit of God is the Word of God IN US! We must invoke the Spirit of Christ/the Word of God (Bible verse promises - trace your finger over them and present them to God in the name of His Son the Word of God!) daily if we want to be saved!

"Say, I have done as Thou hast said. I present Thy Promise[S], (insert your Bible promise here and add) "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you"  Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 147.2.

The false ideas people get because they are not DILIGENT STUDENTS OF HOLY WRIT!

Example 2) Luke 23:43 "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." The comma should have been placed after the word today "," instead of after "thee,". This causes people to believe in "Immortality of the Soul" (many people think when they die their soul goes straight to Heaven - the Bible does NOT teach this at all John 11:11-14 death is a sleep - seems a short time, like sleep, until Jesus calls His dear Saint up from the grave - awake, awake ye that sleep in the dust Isaiah 26:19; Daniel 12:2; Look up the cross references here: http://biblehub.com/isaiah/26-19.htm) another false doctrine of Satan and makes God into a liar Ezekiel 18:20 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him". It is only Satan's lie continued from the Garden of Eden to Eve Genesis 3:4 "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" One three little word inserted turns the truth of God into a lie. 10% deadly error makes it all error.

Example 3) has to do with Baptism in the NAME of Jesus.
Conjugation and diagramming sentences cause many to misunderstand the truth about Baptism. If you diagram Matthew 28:19 you will see that you must be baptized in the NAME of Jesus per Acts 2:28 in order to have a valid baptism! Matthew 28:19 (KJV) "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost".

Here's a short story explaining why we must be baptized per Acts 2:38 like the disciples were of old.

Why My English Teacher Wanted To Be Baptized In Jesus Name!

Ms. DeGroote, as she wished to be called, was from France and she taught my senior year English class at South Bend Central High. She was 63 and referred to herself as a spinster. We had more creative names for her. Most of the students dreaded her classes. We were taught diction and enunciation with a heavy French accent. It seemed to make learning to speak proper English an impossibility with her as the instructor. By much effort I received the only A in her class both semesters.

My class was filled with Catholic students. South Bend, Indiana still is a predominately Catholic town. Its claim to fame is the University of Notre Dame. I was the only non-Catholic in the class.

Ms. DeGroote was a stern woman who tolerated no-nonsense in any of her classes. I was highly confined in her restrictive and controlled environment.

During the course, we had many weeks of conjugation and diagramming sentences. Somehow the nerd in me found those subjects easy and interesting. No, that is not normal, but it happened nevertheless.  (I knew I was a nerd and not a geek, because geeks make more money than nerds.)

One day Ms. DeGroote said, “Now students, tomorrow I want you to bring to class a sentence or sentences that you have diagrammed. You may go to the board and diagram your sentence, and I will correct your paper. Or, I will go to the board and diagram your sentence while you correct the paper.

For the life of me, I could not think of a sentence to diagram. Especially since the whole class would see. Then it dawned on me. What better sentence in the world to diagram! I went home, picked up my Bible, and copied Mt. 28:19 down. I proceeded to diagram the verse. This just had to be right.

The next day couldn’t come soon enough. I was ready for class. When 3rd period English finally arrived I knew I would be the second one called on. Everything in the class was by alphabet. Even our seating was arranged that way. I set behind Adams. We were all called by our last names.

When Adams was called on, he went to the chalkboard and almost got his correct. Ms. DeGroote sat at his empty desk and corrected his paper while he was at the board. When he finished, I heard “Ballestero!”

“I would like you to go to the board and diagram my sentence, and I will correct my own paper,” I said to Ms. DeGroote.

She said, “Read me your sentence.”

“It’s a Bible verse, if that’s OK,” I ventured.

She nodded and I read my Scripture.

Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

“Go ye therefore (comma)” I said.

Ms. DeGroote prefaced her work with a (you) in front of the word “Go”.

When I read the verse aloud, I paused on the word “name,” while I waited for her to catch up.

“Of the Father,” I said.

“Now, here we have a prepositional phrase modifying the word name. At this point we do not know yet what the name of the person is, but we do know by this prepositional phrase, that whoever this person is, they are a Father,” she said.

She then drew the appropriate lines on her diagram.

“Of the Son,” I continued.

“Now we know, that this person is both a Father and a Son, but we still don’t have a name.”

“Ms. DeGroote,” a girl named Williams called out with her hand in the air. “Aren’t Father and Son names?”

“They’re just descriptive titles. They tell us something about the name, but they don’t tell us His name, they are only titles.” was her answer.

She again drew the second prepositional phrase on the board.

“Of the Holy Ghost.” I continued.

After the 3rd prepositional phrase was in place, my teacher looked carefully at the diagram on the board from end to end. She shook her head. “All we know here is that whoever this person is, they are a Father, a Son, and they are the Holy Ghost! But we still don’t know what the name is.”

“Martyn,” she said looking at me carefully, “What is the name?”

I had been waiting for this moment. I stood, and gently said, “Jesus is the name!”

Ms DeGroote looked at her writing on the board. Then she turned back to me with her arms wide in surrender. With a heavy French accent, my Catholic English teacher said, “I guess I need to be baptized in Jesus name!”

“Yes!” I said as I pulled my upraised clinched fist down from my chin area. The other 30 students in the class clapped. I did a modest jig in the class aisle myself.

Have you been baptized in Jesus name?

Acts 2:38 (KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 4:12 (KJV) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The Bible is what we all need; for it is the science of salvation. Turn not away from the holy word of God; for it will make you wise unto salvation. The psalmist says, "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple." The apostle says, "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope." David declares, "Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee." How many are betrayed into sin, because they have not, through prayerful study of the word of God, realised the sinfulness of sin, and found out how they may steadfastly resist it. When temptation comes upon them, they seem to be off guard, and ignorant of the devices of the enemy. We are living in perilous times, and as we draw near the close of earth's history, there will be no safety for those who do not become familiar with the word of God. I would warn the disciples of Christ of the impending days of peril, and beseech you to prepare for the time of test and trial; for everything that can be shaken, will be shaken. Do we now obey the word of God, and live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God? Are we established and settled in the present truth? There is need of closely examining yourselves whether you are in the love of God; for except Christ be in you, you are reprobates. Self-deception is dangerous, and no one of us can afford to go on in delusion.

Much love and prayers go out to you today! We need to help each other to know Jesus more and more each day. Jesus is our only Hope = the Word of God = Bible verse Promises! 2 Peter 1:4. Trace your fingers over the exceedingly great and precious promises GIVEN to us to claim/invoke/pray over our life situations, our problems and trials!

Study the word of God. Revive the evidences given in the past.  “Search the Scriptures,” Christ said; “for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testify of Me.”

Invoke the Spirit of Christ our only Hope to dwell in your body made from dust today and every day! Oh, if *ALL*  would come  *JUST AS THEY ARE*, and let Him make the preparation in taking them as His...

Say: “Take me, O Lord, as wholly Thine. I lay all my plans at Thy feet. Use me today in Thy service. Abide with me, and let all my work be wrought in Thee” Steps to Christ, p. 70.1.

How MUCH do you want of Christ IN YOU?

Here is a comment about the above info from a friend of mine who is a retired language professor:

An excellent letter. The Greek text says at the beginning of Matthew 28:19,
Elthontes = Having gone (after you have gone out)...The Greek text helps
Bible students a lot if more people would study the original language of the New
Testament. The Greek text does not give a command except to say, "Teach
    all nations..."

(Dr. William Van Grit)

As any Bible student or translator will tell you, even the best modern-language Bible translations sometimes fail to convey every nuance of the original biblical language. For that reason, it’s often useful to look at the original Greek words behind a Bible passage (particularly when you’re faced with a challenging or difficult-to-understand verse) to see what context or clarity can be gleaned from them.

Let’s take a look at how an interlinear Bible helps you do that. To start, look up Mark 2 in the Mounce Reverse-Interlinear New Testament. You’ll see the Greek text of the chapter with an English translation of each word or phrase above it:

To get more information on any word, simply click on it. A sidebar will open with a detailed breakdown of the original Greek word. In our example, let’s click on the word gathered:

The box that opens up has a lot of useful study information. In order, it shows:

  1. The word as it appears in Greek (with an English transliteration in parentheses).
  2. The Strong and GK numbers for the word. These numbers are references to entries in Strong’ Concordance and the Goodrick-Kohlenberger numbering system, two popular ways of organizing biblical languages for study.
  3. The definition(s) of the word, with links to and notes about how it’s used elsewhere in the New Testament.
  4. A link to see a complete list of everywhere the word appears in the New Testament (courtesy ofteknia.com).

This lets you not only see the definition of the original Greek word, but also how and where it’s used in other New Testament passages. Comparing different uses of a word throughout Scripture is an invaluable tool in understanding tricky or unusual word choices.

So, is an interlinear Bible useful to you if you aren’t a pastor or a Bible student? Absolutely! A good way to get started using an interlinear Bible is to pick a key verse from your everyday devotions or Bible reading, and ask a few basic questions about it:

  1. Are there any subtleties in the wording of this verse that are lost in the English translation?
  2. Do the alternate definitions listed for the important words in this verse add any interesting flavor to their meaning?
  3. Do the key words in this verse get used a lot in Scripture? Is their use in this verse similar to, or different than, their use elsewhere?
  4. Can you spot any obvious challenges or difficult choices that would be faced by somebody translating this verse from the Greek?

And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear mywords, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the Lord, be nigh unto the Lord our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
How much less shall I answer him, and choose out mywords to reason with him?
Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.
My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my wordsbehind thee.
Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have putmy words in thy mouth.
Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.
Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear mywords.
But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith theLord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the Lord, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the Lord.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the Lord.
Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee.
And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the Lord, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that mywords shall surely stand against you for evil:
And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my wordsthat I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.
Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the LordGod.
O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the Lord straitened? are these his doings? do not mywords do good to him that walketh uprightly?
But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of mywords in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of mywords, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believemy words?
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

My Dearest Friends,

Yesterday, and this morning my mind has been greatly impressed about how great a battle (spiritual Armageddon) is going on in these end times for either Christ or Satan to inhabit our bodies/minds.

This huge spiritual battle is going on RIGHT NOW between Christ and His angels and Satan and His angels to see how many souls they both can win over to their side. IF we realized this more fully we would be down on our knees begging God to take us as Wholly His.

The two groups are forming. One for eternal life and one for eternal death. That should narrow it down easily. There are so many people out there claiming to have the truth. How do you know which to choose? That is easy too. Those on Christ's side are choosing to obey all Ten Commandments and those on Satan's side are choosing to obey the commandments and rules/traditions of men instead of God.

Those in Christ's army

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city" Revelation 22:14

"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus" Revelation 14:12.

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments" 1 John 2:3.

John 14:15
"If you love me, keep my commandments."

John 15:10
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I (Jesus) have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love.

1 John 2:4
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Pretty strong words there.

Those in Satan's army:

"But in vain (useless) they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" Matthew 15:9.

Now, look around you. Are you able to find even one church that keeps the commandments of God and has the faith of Jesus? I can't. Not one single church does this today. That is why we must come out and look to Jesus Christ alone, because He ALONE is the author and finisher of our faith. Not a church. No church can save us. It is Jesus alone.

Isaiah 29:13
The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts (mind/actions) are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

Matthew 15:10
Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand." ("understand" means to depart from evil in Job 28:28)

Mark 7:7
They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.'

Colossians 2:22
These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings.

There are two great armies, two groups, being divided more decidedly than ever before in this earth's history. One army for Christ, the other for Satan. Those who keep all Ten Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus lived out in their daily choices are in Christ's small army. Those who keep the traditions and commandments of men are in Satan's vast army.

Under a RELIGIOUS GUISE Satan will attempt to deceive the whole world through Catholic (Catholic means universal or one world church) doctrines adopted by those who are not studying the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy (spirit of prophecy=testimony of Jesus Rev 19:10 =For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus in our daily choices = a sermon in shoes) for themselves.

Satan forces people through his agents to accept his way through persecution. Christ gives liberty of conscience - to choose either His Way or Satan's false philosophical intellectual only concepts - not brought into a persons words/actions. Not a doer of truth but a hearer only = laodicean, indifferent, lukewarm. Not hot or cold for Christ, but lukewarm.

The protestant reformers over the ages have made gallant attempts standing up for Christ and even to the point of giving their life blood to become a part of their testimony.

Matt 16:25 "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it."

"He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal" John 12:25.

Luke 14:26
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even their own life--such a person cannot be my disciple.

Luke 17:33
Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.

Matthew 16:26
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

Revelation 12:17
Then the dragon was enraged at the woman (anytime a woman is mentioned in the Bible it means a "church" either a pure woman/church or a harlot woman/church =meaning those who obey the Commandments of God or a harlot = those who obey the commandments/traditions of men) and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring--those who keep God's commands and hold fast their testimony (sermon in shoes =doing truth in their daily choices) about Jesus.

How MUCH do we really love JESUS? Enough to eat the manna (literal and spiritual food) He gave us so we can become Holy/perfect through HIS MERITS? We can truly have as much of Jesus as we want. This means to implement into our daily choices all the truth that we know to do without delay. It is in this way that we advance daily in the light/way/truth of Christ.

I am so thankful to God that I ran across Jer 33:3 in my children's school work one day about 6 years ago. It says "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." I claim that verse nearly every single day, and truly God answers that promise every day for me. I have to study and pray for God to unlock my mind so I can understand the Bible promises I read, and he has and is doing that for me. Totally changing me in what I think and do. I feel so inadequate, so in need of my Saviour - moment by moment I am learning to put my trust completely in Him for everything.

This is one of my favorite quotes:

"When we learn the power of His word, we shall not follow the suggestions of Satan in order to obtain food or to save our lives. Our only questions will be, What is God's command? and what His promise? Knowing these, we shall obey the one, and trust the other" DA 121.2.

"Whereby are GIVEN unto us exceeding great and precious PROMISES: that by these ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE (character=thoughts and feelings), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" 2 Peter 1:4.

"Only he who receives the Scriptures as the voice of God speaking to himself is a true learner. He trembles at the Word; for to him it is a living reality" COL 59.2.

I want to become fitted for translation, do you?

"God proves His people in this world. This is the fitting-up place to appear in His presence. Here, in this world, in these last days, persons will show what power affects their hearts and controls their actions. If it is the power (character/influence) of divine truth, it will lead to good works. It will elevate the receiver, and make him noblehearted and generous, like His divine Lord. But if evil angels control the heart, it will be seen in various ways. The fruit will be selfishness, covetousness, pride, and evil passions" LHU 375.3.

What are evil passions? Gal 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4.

REMEMBER, it is the FAITH OF JESUS that we need! Claiming the exceedingly great and precious promises is the key to overcoming sin! Looking to Jesus - the WORD OF GOD! John 5:39 says "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are theywhich testify of me."  The Word of God assimilated (absorbed, memorized, quoted, meditated upon, singing them so it becomes our thoughts = transforming our carnal mind to the perfect mind of God) in our mind - becoming our thoughts, words and actions - IS having the presence and power of God inside your mind/body.

God and His Son's spirit enter into you, into the midst of your body/mind on the breath of your praise to God in the name of His Son. Their Spirit/words enter INTO your mind on the breath of your praise and thanksgiving to God for His exceedingly great and precious promises! Start praising God (see Psalms 117) read, sing and say it, there are hundreds of praises in the Bible - especially in the book of Psalms - praises to God that we can sing, read and pray, every moment of every day. This helps to keep our mind focused upon God, in the name of His Son - to keep our eyes upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

"God leads His people on, step by step. He brings them up to different points calculated to manifest what is in the heart. Some endure at one point, but fall off at the next. At every advanced point the heart is tested and tried a little closer. If the professed people of God find their hearts opposed to this straight work, it should convince them that they have a work to do to overcome, if they would not be (laodicean=foolish virgin=stony ground hearer=indifferent=lukewarm Christian in name only and not practicing truth in our daily choices) spewed out of the mouth of the Lord. Said the angel: “God will bring His work closer and closer to test and prove every one of His people.” Some are willing to receive one point; but when God brings them to another testing point, they shrink from it and stand back, because they find that it strikes directly at some cherished idolHere they have opportunity to see what is in their hearts that shuts out Jesus. They prize something higher than the truth, and their hearts are not prepared to receive Jesus. Individuals are tested and proved a length of time to see if they will sacrifice their idols and heed the counsel of the True Witness.... Those who come up to every point, and stand every test, and overcome, be the price what it may, have heeded the counsel of the True Witness, and they will receive the latter rain(perfecting, testing messages = come out of all churches and keep the commandments of God and the faith OF Jesus = claim Bible promises and LIVE them in our daily choices), and thus be fitted for translation" LHU 375.2.

Who can KNOW what is in a man's heart:

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Professors of religion are not willing to closely examine themselves to see whether they are in the faith; and it is a fearful fact that many are leaning on a false hope.... They seem to think that a profession of the truth will save them. When they subdue those sins which God hates, Jesus will come in and sup with them and they with Him. They will then draw divine strength from Jesus, and will grow up in Him, and be able with holy triumph to say: “Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Testimonies for the Church 1:187, 188LHU 375.4.

The third angel (Elijah message = Rev 14:9-12) is leading up a people, step by step, higher and higher. At every step they will be tested (Testimonies for the Church 1:190). LHU 375.5

"The “mystery of iniquity” began to work in the church in Paul’s day. It finally crowded out the simplicity of the gospel, and corrupted the doctrine of Christ, and the church went into the wilderness. Martin Luther, and other reformers, arose in the strength of God, and with the Word and Spirit, made mighty strides in the Reformation. The greatest fault we can find in the Reformation is, the Reformers stopped reforming. Had they gone on, and onward, till they had left the last vestige of Papacy behind, such as natural immortality, sprinkling, the trinity, and Sunday-keeping, the church would now be free from her unscriptural errors." (James S. White, February 7, 1856, Review & Herald, vol. 7, no. 19, page 148, par. 26)

At the time of the reformation, some light began to penetrate, and a group of people took a step out of the darkness. Tragically, they settled down again very quickly, dug themselves in, and were content to remain just one step outside the gates of Rome aka hell.

The last of the 7 churches is the Seventh-day Adventist church. This church is self proclaimed to be laodicean - a hearer and not a doer of the Word of God - although they have had great privileges, great truths - they have as a corporate entity rejected these truths and have gone back to Rome and today are the most like the Catholics than even the other church denominations. Truly SDA's are the Synagogue of Satan talked about in Revelation 2:9; 3:9. Because they had the most light, more than any other reformer group, they will be help most responsible, not just for the light they once had, but for what they could have become had they been daily advancing in the light.

Several reformers were raised up, each one taking a step forward, but only to quickly dig themselves  hole, remaining in self-righteous contentment only a step away from whatever they had come out of. It seems to be a law of spiritual life that those who cease their progress toward the Promised Land are soon retreating back to Egypt. God is not content unless we heed His call to progress to the light, ever learning and ever developing unto the perfect day.

If you count the seven churches described in Revelation...

...In Revelation, on the Greek island of Patmos, Jesus Christ instructs his servant John of Patmos, through an angelic intermediary, to: "Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea (501c3 SDA's)."

....Laodicea is the last church - laodicea means lukewarm, indifferent to the GREAT truths that have been entrusted to her - that they (501c3 SDA's) REFUSE to give. Just like Queen Vashti refused to show off her beauty at the command of the King in the book of Esther - so Seventh-day Adventists who have been entrusted with great light (truths to live in our daily choices...ie starting with diet) as a whole or majority have refused to show off the truths given to them in their daily lives - they have rejected GREAT LIGHT, so God has rejected them as a whole and is raising up a new movement - the wedding party procession that comes out of ALL 501c3 church denominations into the protection of Christ and His angels by obeying all Ten Commandments and have the faith/testimony OF Jesus (a sermon in shoes) and goes into the Bridegrooms house - to come out of all these false doctrines/churches that do not keep all Ten Commandments and have the testimony of Jesus lived out in their daily choices - THIS IS CHRIST'S CHURCH.

"God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ's church, for the PRESENCE (Bible promises on our lips and lived out in our daily choices and thanking and praising God in the name of His Son) of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can ALONE constitute a church" UL 315.5.

Where two or three are present who love and obey the commandments of God, Jesus there presides, let it be in the desolate place of the earth, in the wilderness, in the city enclosed in prison walls. The glory of God has penetrated the prison walls, flooding with glorious beams of heavenly light the darkest dungeon. His saints may suffer, but their sufferings will, like the apostles of old, spread their faith and win souls to Christ and glorify His holy name. The bitterest opposition expressed by those who hate God's great moral standard of righteousness should not and will not shake the steadfast soul who trusts fully in God.... UL 315.6

"They that will be doers of the word are building securely, and the tempest and storm of persecution will not shake their foundation, because their souls are rooted to the eternal Rock.—Letter 108, October 28, 1886

Today, God's church can be found in obscurity, in the second "Dark Ages" or "wilderness" clinging to the Commandments of God and having the faith/testimony of Jesus Christ - having home church - small groups of people all over the world, like jets of light streaming from outposts all over the globe.

"Before the final visitation of God's judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children. At that time many will separate themselves from those churches in which the love of this world has supplanted love for God and His word. Many, both of ministers and people, will gladly accept those great truths which God has caused to be proclaimed at this time to prepare a people for the Lord's second coming. The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. In those churches which he can bring under his deceptive power he will make it appear that God's special blessing is poured out; there will be manifest what is thought to be great religious interest. Multitudes will exult that God is working marvelously for them, when the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious guise, Satan will seek to extend his influence over the Christian world" Maranatha - Page 169.

Excerpts taken from The Ellen G. White EncyclopediaBy Denis Fortin, Jerry Moon

The Bride and Guests that JOIN the wedding party procession (those that are striving to DO all the truth that they know - are keeping the Ten Commandments/living the faith of Jesus in their daily choices with HIS help = claiming Bible promises and pleading the blood of Jesus over their sins, hanging our helpless souls upon Christ) that has been in progress since Oct 22, 1844: “Arise, shine; for thy light (living reality experiences of Jesus helping you in your life trials) is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1.

"To those who GO OUT to meet the Bridegroom IS this message GIVEN."  Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 420.3

"To those who GO OUT (of all 501c3 churches = apostasy from truth - under a religious guise Satan will attempt to deceive the whole world) to meet the Bridegroom IS this message (third angels message Rev 14:9-12=the Elijah message)GIVEN."  Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 420.3

Only those who obey the Bridegroom and Brides third angels (Rev 14:9-12 Elijah message) last warning message to wake up and come out of apostasy (all 501c3 churches today) to JOIN CHRIST and His Bride on their way to the gospel feast in the Most Holy Place in the Sanctuary, the City of God aka City of Truth will the last message of the loud cry be given. When the time of Jacobs trouble starts for us which is the 7 last plagues falling, IF we are going to be able to STAND UP when CHRIST STANDS UP and says it is finished and probation closes for the WORLD, we like Jacob need to be pleading the promises of God, NOW

Jacob had been trusting his pledged word, so do WE need to trust in the WORD OF GOD = CHRIST = BIBLE PROMISES IN OUR DAILY CHOICES. WE NEED TO STAND UP WITH CHRIST TO LIVE HOLY (today, now is the day of Salvation) IN THE SIGHT OF GOD THE FATHER and very soon WITHOUT A MEDIATOR, very soon! 2 Peter 1:4 tells us how we obtain the character (Divine nature/Godly character) which is the spiritual Kingdom of God (soon to be literal), love to all people, warning by our example, thoughts, words and actions that if we love God we obey all His Ten Commandments.

"When the DECREE (Sunday law = compare to Esther 2:16 when Esther went into the "House Royal" and Saint's/5 wise virgins go into the Bridegrooms house=House Royal, I believe means probation closes for the House of God and the door of probation is forever shut like the door of Noah's ark to Laodiceans/foolish virgins/stony ground hearers and not doers of truth)goes forth and the stamp is impressed, their character will remain pure and spotless for eternity
NOW is the time to prepare." T5, 216.1.

"And at the commencement of the (little) time of trouble (Jesuit Pope Francis reigns for 42 months/1,260 literal days/3.5 years from March 19, 2013 which lasts for 3.5 years until Sept 19, 2016, to be cut short in righteousness by 25 days like the first Dark Ages were cut short by 25 years - only apply that in literal days today....comes to Aug 5, 2016 (7 last plagues start at close of probation for the whole world?) - if you start from the date of the coronation of the last and 8th King of Rome Jesuit Pope Francis March 19, 2013 and apply Rev 13:5 -the 42 months?  See Esther chapter 2 and chapter 3 as well for confirmation. Just studying here = but it seems very, very likely. Really I have no doubt that Jesuit Pope Francis IS the very last Pope... The last actor on the stage is the protestant American 501c3 churches to clamor for our lawmakers to enact a Sunday law and be foremost if forcing the whole world to accept a Sunday law - to bow down at the sound of the music - like the King wanted Daniel's three friends to do in the plains of Dura, to worship the golden image - the furnaces where heated 7 times hotter and a fourth man - Jesus Chrst - was seen walking in the fire with the three faithful boys who refused to dishonor God and bow down to a commandments of man in violation of the Ten Commandments)

"At the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully.

“The commencement of that time of trouble,” here mentioned, does not refer to the time when the plagues shall begin to be poured out, but to a short period (3.5 years: March 19, 2013 until Sept 19, 2016 which is cut short in Righteousness, the 42 months in Rev 13:5 to Aug 5, 2016?) just before they are poured out, while Christ is in the sanctuary. At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel. At that time the “latter rain,” or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel (Rev 14:9-12), and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out." Maranatha, p. 170.2Last Day Events, p. 143.1

Revelation 12:17. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” The woman is a symbol of the church, and the remnant of the church represents the Christians of the last generation of men, living just prior to the second advent. The dragon makes war on these for keeping the commandments of God, Sabbath and all, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ, which, according to the inspired definition of chapter 19:10, “is the spirit of prophecy.” Here, then, are the causes of the dragon's warfare upon the remnant. They teach the observance of the Ten Commandments, and the revival of the gifts, and acknowledge the gift of prophecy among them. When the devil got one foot upon the fourth commandment, and the other upon the gifts planted in the Christian church by Jesus Christ, then his satanic majesty was filled with revengeful delight. But when the remnant (those who come out of all church denominations and follow Christ alone - the Ten Commandments and have the faith OF Jesus -claim Bible promises), whom God designs to fit for translation to heaven without seeing (second) death, “ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein,” then the dragon (Satan working through his agents=people) is wroth, and makes war on them. The true spirit of the dragonic host, which is already being somewhat developed, is vividly described in Isaiah 30:8-13, as being manifested just prior to the sudden destruction of those who hate the pure testimony, and love smooth and deceitful things" Spiritual Gifts, vol. 3, p. 26.2.

"Because the law of God is made void in our world, does it make it a virtue to transgress that law? It may appear to the world a very small matter for the Christian to be in harmony with the world by just the act of keeping Sunday for the Sabbath in the place of the seventh day, but God's Word says the seventh day is My holy day. The man of sin says, “I make a Sabbath for you and you must keep the first day of the week.” ... UL 315.4.

We CAN KNOW that we are saved. Christ says, “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city" Revelation 22:14

Christlike Religion

The tremendous issues of eternity demand of us something more than an imaginary religion. A stately form of worship and high devotional ceremonies do not constitute a light to the world; and yet truth that is looked upon and admired in the same way as a beautiful picture or lovely flower, and not brought into the inner sanctuary of the soul, is thought by many to be all that is required in a worshiper. Many hear the truth, and imaginary probabilities and possibilities loom up before their minds, and they think that, had they the chance, they would do some wonderful thing; but in all this that they seem to think the sum total of religion, they have no idea as to what is pure and undefiled religion. YI February 17, 1898, par. 1

It is not enough to believe what is preached; the truth must be brought into the temple of the soul. Holiness is not rapture; it is the result of surrendering all to God; it is living by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God; it is doing the will of our Heavenly Father; it is trusting in God in trial, believing in his promise in the darkness as well as in the light. Religion is to walk by faith as well as by sight, trusting in God with all confidence, and resting in his love. We shall be saved eternally when we enter in through the gates into the city. Then we may rejoice that we are saved, eternally saved. But until then we need to heed the injunction of the apostle, and to “fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of us should seem to come short of it.” Having a knowledge of Canaan, singing the songs of Canaan, rejoicing in the prospect of entering into Canaan, did not bring the children of Israel into the vineyards and olive-groves of the promised land. They could make it theirs in truth only by occupation, by complying with the conditions, by exercising living faith in God, by appropriating his promises to themselves. As we draw nigh to Christ, and as he draws nigh to the believing soul, we can say, with all confidence: “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” YI February 17, 1898, par. 2

The present and eternal security of men is their surety, Jesus Christ the righteous. No man will be able to pluck the believing soul out of his hands. The righteousness of Christ is a free gift, bestowed without money and without price. Man had nothing he could give for it; for he had no virtue of character that was not the gift of Jesus Christ. He could not claim even the ownership of himself. “Ye are not your own; ye are bought with a price,” even with the precious blood of Christ. The righteousness of Christ must be accepted as a free gift by us who are all undeserving. No thread of legality is of any value in the salvation of the soul; for we are saved by grace, through the subduing love of Christ, and the heart is made a willing sacrifice. By keeping the love of God in the heart, the love of the world is kept out, and we become built up in the most holy faith. Christ is the author and finisher of our faith; and when we yield to his hand, we shall steadily grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour. We shall make progress until we reach the full stature of men and women in Christ. YI February 17, 1898, par. 3

Faith works by love, and purifies the soul, expelling the love of sin that leads to rebellion against, and transgression of, the law of God. This true love in the heart always leads its possessor into harmony with the commandments of God; for through the agency of the Holy Spirit, the character is transformed, and the mind and will of the human agent are brought into perfect conformity to the divine will, and this is conformity to the divine standard of righteousness. To those who are thus transformed, Christ will say, “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” YI February 17, 1898, par. 4

Mrs. E. G. White YI February 17, 1898

Because God is merciful, and ready to forgive, there are those who say that it is safe to disobey Him. But this is presumption. God will forgive all who seek pardon and turn away from sin. But those who choose to disobey Him He can not bless. {SJ 46.5}

Satan is at work from beneath to stir up the hellish powers of his confederacy of evil against the just. He imbues human agencies with his own attributes. Evil angels united with evil men will put forth efforts to harass, persecute, and destroy. But the Lord God of Israel will not forsake those who trust in Him. Amid the strengthening of infidelity and apostasy, amid the pretended illumination which is the blindest presumption and delusion, there will be a light from the sanctuary above shining upon God's people. The truth of God will triumph. {UL 262.2}

The sin of presumption lies close beside the virtue of perfect faith and confidence in God. Satan flattered himself that he could take advantage of the humanity of Christ to urge him over the line of trust to presumption. Upon this point many souls are wrecked. Satan tried to deceive Christ through flattery. He admitted that Christ was right in the wilderness in his faith and confidence that God was his Father, under the most trying circumstances. He then urged Christ to give him one more proof of his entire dependence upon God, one more evidence of his faith that he was the Son of God, by casting himself from the temple. He told Christ that if he was indeed the Son of God he had nothing to fear; for angels were at hand to uphold him. Satan gave evidence that he understood the Scriptures by the use he made of them. {RH, August 18, 1874 par. 18}

Our only safety is to reject firmly the first insinuation to presumptionGod has given us grace through the merits of Christ sufficient to withstand Satan, and be more than conquerors. Resistance is success."Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Resistance must be firm and steadfast. We lose all we gain if we resist today only to yield tomorrow.{RH, April 8, 1880 par. 10}

If we are in the path of duty, if we are in the place where the angels of God can have charge over us, we may expect to be kept in all our ways; for God will be our helper; but if we rush into danger, following our own feeble judgment, and led by our own desires, we shall get into sorrow and difficultyIf we persist in presumption, we cannot expect that God will deliver us; for we are not following in the footsteps of Jesus. We must follow our Lord, just as trained soldiers follow their leader. {RH, July 5, 1892 par. 11}

The dangers thickening around us demand from those who have had an experience in the things of God, a watchful supervisionThose who walk humbly before God, distrustful of their own wisdom, will realize their danger, and will know the power of God's keeping care. Those who do not realize their danger because they do not watch, will pay, with the loss of their souls, the penalty of their presumption and their willful ignorance of Satan's devices. {RH, July 7, 1910 par. 13}

The Lord would have his people true to his service, and separate and distinct from every nation who did not fear his name. He understood the danger of associating with idolaters, knowing that the seeing and hearing of their heathen customs and vain philosophy would have a corrupting influence upon their moralsThere was danger of the sacrilegious services of the idol worship appearing attractive to them, and giving character to their religious servicesAlthough the experience of parents might be a safeguard to themselvesthere was constant dangerin regard to the morals of their children. They would be continually tempted to imitate the practices of the people with whom they associated. {ST, July 22, 1880 par. 2}

This injunction from God himself is of consequence to us who live in these last days when iniquity prevailsand Satan with every device is upon the track of the unwary. Merriment and pleasure-seeking is the order of the day, and reckless presumption and the absence of virtue mark the course of society generally. The standard of the world is in no case to be the standard of those who love and fear God. He requires those who follow him to be separate from sin and sinners. The reason why those who profess his name are not more precious in his sight is because the pure gold of their character has been corrupted by association with the worldand they have not genuine faith  {ST, July 22, 1880 par. 3}

Some will plead that they lived up to the best light that they had, and did not know that they were sinners before God. Therefore they claim that they were guiltless, and have nothing to repent of. But the word of God was plain, and all who had a prayerful anxious desire to understand it might have known what was truth; and for this sin of ignorance God will demand an offering as truly as in the days of Moses,--even the offering of a broken and contrite heart. With the Bible in our hands we ought all to know and practice the truth.But some do not wish to change their faith or course of action, and argue that if they are only honest they will be saved. Such will be in great danger of committing the sin of presumption, of not living up to all the light they have. Critical self-examination, united with a diligent searching of the Scriptures and earnest prayer, is essential, not that some way may be found to evade the cross, but that they may be led into all truth however much self-denial it may cost, and however inconvenient it may be to obey. {ST, July 22, 1880 par. 12}

Sins of ignorance call not for excuse but for repentanceNone are to flatter themselves that because Jesus died and bore the guilt for man, they have nothing to do but accept of pardon without repenting of the sins they have so long been committing. There are limits to the forbearance of God, and punishment for the transgression of his law is no less certain because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily. Because we live in a time when retribution does not follow an evil deed at once, sin is less avoided and the hearts of the sons of men are fully set in them to do evil. {ST, July 22, 1880 par. 13}
"Satan's power is increasing, he is terribly in earnest, knowing that his time is short, he is working with all deceivableness of unrighteousness." Those who would escape his wiles must be vigilant and determined. If we would meet the demands for this time, we must put on the whole armor, and go forth with energy, perseverance, and unswerving faith. In God alone is our strength. Indolence and slothfulness,presumption and self-confidence, will alike bring defeat and destruction. God takes cognizance of the works of all. Those who have sought their ease, and shunned care, anxiety and labor for God's cause, may be sure their sin will find them out. Those who, like Achan, cherish selfishness, avarice and deception, may be sure that God's eye is upon them. As he searched out Achan, he will search them out, as he pronounced a curse upon Achan, he will surely pronounce a curse upon them. {ST, May 5, 1881 par. 12}

The Lord sorely chastised his people Israel, revealing their hypocrisy and rebuking their presumption, and thus left upon the pages of history the testimony for all future ages, that the iniquities of his professed people will not go unpunished. The greater the knowledge of God's will, the greater the sin of those who disregard it. God is not dependent upon men to cause his name to be feared and honored in the earth. He accepts the labors of those who walk in faithfulness and humility before him, but he will reject all who profess to serve him, and yet follow in the course of the unrighteous. God can carry forward his work in the earth without the co-operation of those who would pervert or disgrace it. {ST, December 22, 1881 par. 13}

There never was a time of greater danger to the church than the present, and many will not be true to their own souls. They will not be sanctified through the truthThey have lamps, but no oil in their vessels to replenish them, and their light goes out in darkness. Eli and his sons trusted to the ark, the symbol of the divine presence, while they were transgressing the holy law enshrined in the ark, and their sins were separating them from God. As a consequence of their presumption, both the sons of Eli were slain, and God permitted the ark to pass into the hands of the enemies of his people. Some in our day are making a similar mistake in trusting to their profession while they are transgressing the holy requirements of God's law. Such are asleep to their true condition. {ST, June 26, 1884 par. 9}

The apostle Paul exhorts careless and unconcerned professors:"Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Christ, the True Witness, would break the slumbers of his ease-loving people. His voice is heard addressing them: "I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." I will not take your names into my lips, for you are unworthy. I am ashamed to call you brethren. "Be zealous therefore, and repent." "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." {ST, June 26, 1884 par. 10}

William Wilberforce was a titan—a Christian statesman in England whose lifelong efforts led to the abolition of the slave trade in the British Empire. But late in his life, Wilberforce faced personal financial disaster. He had invested much of his fortune trying to help his son, but the enterprise failed and Wilberforce lost his home. The great man took long walks, praying and thinking over his losses. He decided that God had allowed him to live long enough to demonstrate to others that “a man can be as happy without a fortune, as with one.”1

Regardless of our earthly possessions, we can always rely on Christ. It’s wonderful when we can pay our bills and have some extra funds in the bank, and it’s reassuring to feel our future is financially secure. But sometimes we incur losses or face insufficient funds. In such times God’s grace is all-sufficient, and in some way or another He will provide. In the meantime, we can count our blessings, live a life of love, and claim the verse that says: “Better
is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a fatted calf with hatred” (Proverbs 15:17).

When I first became really interested in studying the Bible, I started to study the meaning of the words: "wisdom", "understanding" and "prudence". The Bible came "alive" to me. I could hardly put it down. Especially when I started to study the truth about Jesus - which is really the everlasting gospel. The truth (gospel) about Jesus is that He was TWICE BORN, just as we need to be twice born.

John 3:5 (KJV) "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

"As Christ was twice born, once in eternity, the only begotten of the Father, and again here in the flesh, thus uniting the divine with the human in that second birth, so we, who have been born once already in the flesh, are to have the second birth, being born again of the Spirit, in order that our experience may be the same, the human and the divine being joined in a life union." W.W. PRESCOTT Review and Herald, April 14, 1896 p. 232.

"He was born of the Holy Ghost. In other words, Jesus Christ was born again. He came from heaven, GOD's first- born, to the earth, and was born again, But all in Christ's work goes by opposites for us: he, the sinless one, was MADE to be sin, in order that we might be MADE the righteousness of God in him. He, the living one, the prince and author of life, died that we might live. He whose goings forth have been from the days of eternity, (Micah 5:2) the first-born of GOD, was born again, in order that we might be born again." A.T. JONES

"If Jesus Christ had never been born again, could you and I have ever been born again? No. But he was born again, from the world of righteousness into the world of sin; that we might be born again, from the world of sin into the world of righteousness. He was born again, and was made partaker of the human nature, that we might be born again, and so made partakers of the divine nature. He was born again, unto earth, unto sin, and unto man, that we might be born again unto heaven, unto righteousness, and unto God." Review and Herald, Aug. 1, 1899 (Lessons on Faith p. 154.)

Here is a tiny part of what I've discovered from the Bible about those words (wisdom, understanding and prudence) and their special meanings to us today:

Wisdom: If you seek her (wisdom) as silver And search for her (wisdom) as for hidden treasures; 5Then you will discern the fear of the LORD And discover the knowledge of God. 6For the LORD (God the Father) gives wisdom (His Son, Jesus); From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.… Proverbs 2:5-6.

Wisdom is Jesus.  - understanding this opened my mind when reading the scriptures.

"Christ the power (character=thoughts and feelings) of God, and the wisdom ofGod" 1 Corinthians 1:24.

TRUE everlasting POWER IS found in quiet cheerful obedience to the law of God.

Our character will consist of the definitions found in Galatians 5:22-23: 22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law".

True Power/influence IS the character of God. God's character is His thoughts and feelings. His mind. His thoughts. His thoughts or ideas are expressed in the Ten Commandments. His law is a transcript of His mind. Let this MIND be in you that was ALSO in Christ Jesus. Christ is the THOUGHT of God made audible. Christ is the spoken Word of God. This is how we feed our soul, our character, our mind, is by feeding/reading the Word of God. This is how our mind is transformed into a Godlike character. By claiming/meditating upon/memorizing the exceedingly great and precious Bible verse promises, tracing them with our finger and believing it is so, simply because God said it to us through His Son.

The "beginning" of wisdom is a fear (reverence/quiet cheerful obedience) to God.

"The fear (quiet cheerful obedience of the Ten Commandments) of the LORD is thebeginning [!] of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding" Proverbs9:10.

"Understanding" means to depart from evil per Job 28:28.

"And unto man he said, Behold, the fear (reverence/quiet cheerful obedience=sermon in shoes) of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding" Job 28:28.

Proverbs 8:1
Does not wisdom (Jesus) call out? Does not understanding (departing from evil per Job 28:28) raise her voice?

Proverbs 8:12

"I, wisdom (Jesus=insight), dwell with prudence, And I find knowledge (God) and discretion.

"Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding (intelligence) thy kinswoman (intimate friend)" Proverbs 7:4.

The law in the mind/heart is the eye of the soul.  Let prudence and sound sense be as dear to thee as a close friend.

We must lay up God's commandments safely in our mind/thoughts/words. Not only, Keep them, and you shall live; but, Keep them as those that cannot live without them. Those that blame strict and careful walking (the Way=Jesus) as needless and too precise, consider not that the law is to be kept as the apple of the eye; indeed the law in the heart is the eye of the soul. Let the word of God dwell in us, and so be written where it will be always at hand to be read. Thus we shall be kept from the fatal effects of our own passions, and the snares of Satan. Let God's word confirm our dread of sin, and resolutions against it.

The law is really not a don't, don't don't, but a do this and LIVE FOREVER!

"So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom (insight=Jesus), and apply thine heart to understanding (true intelligence means "departing from evil" per Job 28:28)" Proverbs 2:2.

1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Just like Christ was MADE to be SIN for us, we are MADE to be righteous in Him/Christ. I wondered for a long time, how Christ could say in Matthew 19:17 "And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." How could Christ say that only His Father and God was "good" when we all know Christ, the Son of God was and is our perfect example? I prayed and asked God to show me, and he has shown me! 2 Corinthians 5:21 answers my question: "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

When hanging on the cross, Jesus had the weight of our sins laid upon Him. This caused a terrible separation from God and caused Jesus the Son of God to cry out in deep anguish "why have you forsaken me?"! It was because of sin. Sin separates us from God. Sin is a transgression of the law of God (1 John 3:4).

Do we even have a connection with God to feel this terrible separation from God? Or do we enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season to much? I pray God will GIVE ME the same hatred for sin that He Himself has for it. Sin is the transgression of the law. And only with Christ's indwelling Spirit, the Spirit of truth, can we overcome our love of sin. It is only by spending time thinking of the Royal King Christ who was used to absolute power - he spoke and it was created - who gave up ALL of Heaven's riches to become a humble servant to die for guilty mankind - so we could be MADE righteous THROUGH HIM! :) Nothing we do, no matter how good a life we lived could make us worthy of Heaven. It is ONLY by hanging our helpless soul/character/thoughts/feelings/words upon Christ can we be MADE holy - in constant agreement with God's law.

"The fear (quiet cheerful obedience of the Ten Commandments) of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction" Proverbs 1:7.

By earnest prayer and dependence upon God, Solomon obtained the wisdom which excited the wonder and admiration of the world. But when he turned from the Source of his strength, and went forward relying upon himself, he fell a prey to temptation. Then the marvelous powers bestowed on this wisest of kings only rendered him a more effective agent of the adversary of souls.

Let's turn to the Source of our strength and WISDOM! Jesus right now. Prayer is the breath of the soul/character/thoughts/feelings. My soul needs resuscitation - mouth to mouth resuscitation everyday - much prayer and less talk. Claiming Bible promises makes us Holy, in constant agreement with God. Bible promises like John 6:37 "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out".

Just like a earthly marriage to our spouse needs kind words and actions for it to flourish - from both parties - so in our spiritual marriage to Christ - we need to feed upon Christ's kind words, the exceedingly great and precious Bible verse promises given to us for our own personal healing from sin. We need to read the Bible daily to see Jesus loving admonishments and promises and then in turn we talk to God the Father in the name of His Son, the one who died for us and tell Jesus how thankful we are for His exceedingly great gifts He has given to us. Name off the individual traits of character that we like about our Saviour. His tenderness toward us. His merciful and enduring great unselfish love for us. His own breath, the breath of His own soul/life and truth that He alone can impart to us. He is only waiting for us to want/desire Him with the same longing desire that He has for us - THEN He will come back to take us to Heaven and eternal bliss.

"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart (mind) of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him" 1 Cor 2:9.

"If ye love mekeep my commandments" John 14:15.

The same longing desire that a bridegroom has for his new bride. Do we want and desire Jesus that much? We can show Jesus that we desire and deeply LOVE Him by quiet cheerful obedience to the Ten Commandments. By coming to Him early every morning. Drinking from the well of Bethlehem. To pray and read the Word of God and claim it's precious promises EVERY morning! Never should we begin the day without committing our ways to our heavenly FatherThis IS the secret key to eternal life and happiness that no one can steal from us - even if we are sitting in prison! Having a personal, one on one relationship with the creator of the Universe - what better possible friend could we have?
