The church will appear as about to fall, BUT SHE WILL NOT FALL

From the beginning, faithful souls have constituted the church on earth. {AA 11.2}

The eighth Pope is Jesuit Pope Francis...the eighth church is ZION.

THE EIGHTH CHURCH - IS ZION, THE REMNANT, the 144,000 who are the Bride of Christ and have been being chosen from the common people since 1844 until the Sunday Law. The Spirit (Christ) and the Bride say "Come", “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.” This wakes up the 10 virgins and 5 wise JOIN the midnight wilderness procession that is NOW in progress. This is the eighth Church = the last Church = Zion. The Bride of Christ, the 144,000 are pioneers of the advent message from 1844 until the close of probation for the house of God which I believe happens at the time the Sunday law is passed by legislation. It will be demanded by the people because of the calamities that are falling upon the earth. Return to God, return to worship on Sunday....will be the cry to be saved from the calamities.

"I saw a number of companies that seemed to be bound together by cords. Many in these companies were in total darkness; their eyes were directed downward to the earth, and there seemed to be no connection between them and Jesus. But scattered through these different companies were persons whose countenances looked light, and whose eyes were raised to heaven. Beams of light from Jesus, like rays from the sun, were imparted to them. An angel bade me look carefully, and I saw an angel watching over every one of those who had a ray of light, while evil angels surrounded those who were in darkness. I heard the voice of an angel cry, “Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come.” (Stop worshiping the trinity of gods and all false, strange gods!)

A glorious light then rested down upon these companies, to enlighten all who would receive it. Some of those who were in darkness received the light and rejoiced. Others resisted the light from heaven, saying that it was sent to lead them astray. The light passed away from them, and they were left in darkness. Those who had received the light from Jesus joyfully cherished the increase of precious light which was shed upon them. Their faces beamed with holy joy, while their gaze was directed upward to Jesus with intense interest, and their voices were heard in harmony with the voice of the angel, “Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come.” As they raised this cry, I saw those who were in darkness thrusting them with side and with shoulder. Then many who cherished the sacred light, broke the cords which confined them and stood out separated from those companies. As they were doing this, men belonging to the different companies and revered by them passed through, some with pleasing words, and others with wrathful looks and threatening gestures, and fastened the cords which were weakening. These men were constantly saying, “God is with us. We stand in the light. We have the truth.I inquired who these men were, and was told that they were ministers and leading men who had rejected the light themselves, and were unwilling that others should receive it.

I saw those who cherished the light looking upward with ardent desire, expecting Jesus to come and take them to Himself. Soon a cloud passed over them, and their faces were sorrowful. I inquired the cause of this cloud and was shown that it was their disappointment. The time when they expected their Saviour had passed, and Jesus had not come. As discouragement settled upon the waiting ones, the ministers and leading men whom I had before noticed, rejoiced, and all those who had rejected the light triumphed greatly, while Satan and his evil angels also exulted.

Then I heard the voice of another angel saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen!” A light shone upon those desponding ones, and with ardent desires for His appearing, they again fixed their eyes upon Jesus. I saw a number of angels conversing with the one who had cried, “Babylon is fallen,” and these united with him in the cry, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.” The musical voices of these angels seemed to reach everywhere. An exceedingly bright and glorious light shone around those who had cherished the light which had been imparted to them. Their faces shone with excellent glory, and they united with the angels in the cry, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh.” As they harmoniously raised the cry among the different companies, those who rejected the light pushed them and with angry looks scorned and derided them. But angels of God wafted their wings over the persecuted ones, while Satan and his angels were seeking to press their darkness around them, to lead them to reject the light from heaven.

Then I heard a voice saying to those who had been pushed and derided, “Come out from among them, and touch not the unclean.” In obedience to this voice, a large number broke the cords which bound them, and leaving the companies that were in darkness, joined those who had previously gained their freedom, and joyfully united their voices with them. I heard the voice of earnest, agonizing prayer from a few who still remained with the companies that were in darkness (modern SDA 501c3 organization and other churches). The ministers and leading men were passing around in these different companies, fastening the cords more firmly ("The church will appear as about to fall, BUT SHE WILL NOT FALL" bribed false prophets like in Jerusalem 70 A.D.); but still I heard this voice of earnest prayer. Then I saw those who had been praying reach out their hands for help toward the united company who were free, rejoicing in God. The answer from them, as they earnestly looked to heaven, and pointed upward, was, “Come out from among them, and be separate.” I saw individuals struggling for freedom, and at last they broke the cords that bound them. They resisted the efforts which were made to fasten the cords tighter and refused to heed the repeated assertions: “God is with us.” “We have the truth with us.”

Persons were continually leaving the companies that were in darkness and joining the free company, who appeared to be in an open field raised above the earth. Their gaze was directed upward, the glory of God rested upon them, and they joyfully shouted His praise. They were closely united and seemed to be wrapped in the light of heaven. Around this company were some who came under the influence of the light, but who were not particularly united to the company. All who cherished the light shed upon them were gazing upward with intense interest, and Jesus looked upon them with sweet approbation. They expected Him to come and longed for His appearing. They did not cast one lingering look to earth." EARLY WRITINGS, PAGE 240-243

open field raised above the earth correlates to Ellen White's first vision:

The Eighth Church. Rome has a 8th King reigning right now - Jesuit Pope Francis and God has a 8th Church right now as well.... Jesuit Pope Francis started his reign on March 19, 2013 and reigns for 42 months, or 3.5 years, or 1,260 days until September 19, 2016. The last remnant church is also in the wilderness for 3.5 years. Scripture presents this close relationship between the Lamb and His bride by asking, “Who IS THIS coming up from the wilderness (obscurity/little known), leaning upon her beloved?” (Song of Solomon 8:5).

The voice of the Heavenly Bridegroom falls lovingly on the ears of the bride:

“You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you.” (Song of Solomon 4:7)

Song of Solomon 7:10 "I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me."

Surrender to the Saviour today. Follow Him today, tomorrow . . . and forever.

The prophet Isaiah saw the end-time saints as a wedding party. He saw them going forth with lamps shining brightly, even in the midst of thick darkness. Everyone is to hear the last call to the marriage supper of the Lamb. . . . These words are for us!

God's church is now in the wilderness (obscure/little known to the Catholics - "obscure people" —Spalding and Magan Collection, p. 1.) they are known as the REMNANT, and "THE WAY", there are many names for ZION, the church triumphant. It is ZION. Here is a picture of Zion: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2neZhb9OpYNQjhHTFQ1czVfclk/view?usp=sharing

The Spirit (Christ) and His Bride, the 144,000 say to the GUESTS, "COME". “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him.”

.This wakes up the 10 virgins and 5 wise virgins JOIN the midnight wilderness (wilderness means obscure/little known to the Catholics) procession that is NOW in progress. This is the eighth Church = the last Church = Zion. "It will be urged that the few who stand in opposition to an institution of the church and a law of the state, ought not to be tolerated; that it is better for them to suffer than for whole nations to be thrown into confusion and lawlessness. The same argument eighteen hundred years ago was brought against Christ by the "rulers of the people." . . . This argument will appear conclusive.--GC 615 (1911). {LDE 257.1}

"Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the PRESENCE of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can ALONE constitute a church.” Upward Look, 315.

“I have been shown that unbelief in the testimonies has been steadily increasing as the people backslide from God. It is all through our ranks, all over the field. But few know what our churches are to experience. I saw that at present we are under divine forbearance, but no one can say how long this will continue. No one knows how great the mercy that has been exercised toward us. But FEW are heartily devoted to God. There are only a FEW who, like the stars in a tempestuous night, shine here and there among the clouds. 5T 76.

Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented. DA-232

This is talking about the few members in the SDA church and other churches who eventually come out and JOIN the Bridegrooms procession:

“I heard the voice of earnest, agonizing prayer from a few who still remained with the companies that were in darkness. The ministers and leading men were passing around in these different companies, fastening the cords more firmly; but still I heard this voice of earnest prayer. Then I saw those who had been praying reach out their hands for help toward the united company who were free, rejoicing in God (those who already had come out of all churchs and had joined the Bridgrooms procession). The answer from them, as they earnestly looked to heaven, and pointed upward, was, “Come out from among them, and be separate.” I saw individuals struggling for freedom, and at last they broke the cords that bound them. They resisted the efforts which were made to fasten the cords tighter and refused to heed the repeated assertions: “God is with us.” “We have the truth with us.” Early Writings, p. 242.1

Shocking: "ANOTHER" Religious Body Prediction:

In fact, in 1867 Ellen White foresaw the SDA church becoming Catholic! (see Testimonies, vol 1, p 578).

Notice how the "prediction" & "fulfillment" uses the exact wording "another":

"The image to the beast represents “ANOTHER” religious body clothed with similar powers." The Story of Redemption, p. 381.2, The Spirit of Prophecy Volume 4, p. 277.2

The Shocking "ANOTHER" Religious Body Fulfillment:

And in the Adventist Review of March 5, 1981, on page 3, Neal C. Wilson, General Conference President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, states: "...there is ANOTHER universal and TRULY CATHOLIC ORGANIZATION, the SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH."

Prediction: "Our religion would be changed....A new organization would be established." Selected Messages, book 1, p 204-205.

"I know from the light that God has given me that there should be a revival of the messages that have been given in the past, because men will seek to bring in new theories, and will try to prove that these theories are scriptural, whereas they are error, which, if allowed a place, will undermine faith in the truth. We are not to accept these suppositions and pass them along as truth. No, no; we must not move from the platform of truth on which we have been established." {UL 199 Ellen White}

"Not one pin is to be removed from that which the Lord has established. The enemy will bring in false theories… there will be a departing from the faith. Where shall we find safety unless it be in the truths that the Lord has been giving for the last fifty years?" {Ellen White RH, May 25, 1905 par. 28}

John 12:42 "Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue [church];"

TVol. 8, page 294, “The hypnotic influence of Satan will rest upon those who turn from the plain word of God to pleasing fables. It is those who have had the most light that Satan most assiduously seeks to ensnare. The enemy is trying to divert minds from preparing to stand in these last days."

"The days are fast approaching when there will be great perplexity and confusion. Satan, clothed in angel robes, will deceive, if possible, the very elect. There will be gods many and lords many. Every wind of doctrine will be blowing. Those who have rendered supreme homage to "science falsely so called" will not be the leaders then. Those who have trusted to intellect, genius, or talent will not then stand at the head of rank and file. They did not keep pace with the light. Those who have proved themselves unfaithful will not then be entrusted with the flock. 5T 080

“The book of Revelation must be opened to the people....The truth it contains must be proclaimed, that people may have an opportunity to prepare for the events which are so soon to transpire.” Evangelism, p 195.

“Christ came to John exiled on the Isle of Patmos to give him the truth for these last days...telling him to send it to the churches. This instruction is to be the object of our careful and prayerful study; for we are living in a time when men who are not under the teaching of the Holy Spirit will bring in false theories.” Manuscript Releases, vol 20, p 150.

“Christ is spoken of as walking in the midst of the golden candlesticks. Thus is symbolized His relation to the churches. He is in constant communication with His people. He knows their true state. He observes their order, their piety, their devotion. Although He is high priest and mediator in the sanctuary above, yet He is represented as walking up and down in the midst of His churches on the earth....
“Christ is represented as holding the seven stars in His right hand. This assures us that no church faithful to its trust need fear coming to nought, for not a star that has the protection of Omnipotence can be plucked out of the hand of Christ.”Acts of the Apostles, p 586.

“‘Who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks’ (Rev. 2:1). This Scripture shows Christ's relation to the churches. He walks in the midst of His churches throughout the length and breadth of the earth. He watches them with intense interest to see whether they are in such a condition spiritually that they can advance His kingdom. Christ is present in every assembly of the church.” Testimonies, vol 6, p 418-419.

“The messages given to the churches in Asia, portray the state of things existing in the churches of the religious world today.” Manuscript Releases, vol 1, p 372.

“I wish to emphasize the fact, that the churches to which John was told to send the instruction given him represent all the churches in our world...” Manuscript Releases, vol 1, p 372.

“After the passing of the time of expectation, in [October 22] 1844, Adventists still believed the Saviour's coming to be very near; they held that they had reached an important crisis, and that the work of Christ as man's intercessor before God, had ceased. Having given the warning of the Judgment near, they felt that their work for the world was done, and they lost their burden of soul for the salvation of sinners, while the bold and blasphemous scoffing of the ungodly seemed to them another evidence that the Spirit of God had been withdrawn from the rejecters of his mercy. All this confirmed them in the belief that probation had ended, or, as they then expressed it, ‘the door of mercy was shut.’
“But clearer light came with the investigation of the sanctuary question. Now was seen the application of those words of Christ in the Revelation, addressed to the church at this very time: ‘These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth and no man openeth; I know thy works; behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.’ [Revelation 3:7, 8.] [What church is being addressed by these words after October 22, 1844? Was it the church of Laodicea? No, it was the church of Philadelphia!] Here an open as well as a shut door is brought to view. At the termination of the 2300 prophetic days in 1844...Christ had ended one part of his work as our intercessor, to enter upon another portion of the work; and he still presented his blood before the Father in behalf of sinners. ‘Behold,’ he declares, ‘I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.’” Spirit of Prophecy, vol 4, p 268-269 (Great Controversy, p 429-430).

“I ask the church, Will you remain in the condition of the Laodicean church, or will you change your position?” Manuscript Releases, vol 16, p 147.

“Make diligent efforts to redeem the past. No longer remain in the condition of the Laodicean church.” Counsels On Health, p 430.

"The Laodicean Church is the translation church...this is the very church that will be translated into the Kingdom of God." Review, November 30, 1939. (General Conference president J.L. McElhany)

"...[God's SDA] church is Laodicea which undeniably has its problems. But no less sure is God's offered remedy...The promise that Christ at His coming will ‘present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing.’" Adventist Review, March 7, 1991, p 10.

“Today we hesitate to claim we’re the remnant; but as for Laodicea, that’s us! Us alone!...No other Christian group vies with us for the dubious privilege of being identified with it....claiming exclusive rights to Laodicea is not politically incorrect. So, unchallenged, we’ve become anchored in the view that Seventh-day Adventists are the sole group envisioned in the apocalyptic concept of that term.” Adventist Review, August 28, 2008, p 5.

"This church to which we belong will emerge a victorious company to stand some day on the sea of glass....Adventism is destined to triumph gloriously....They [God's people] will patiently watch and pray until God in His own time and in His own way purifies His church...The church will fulfill its prophetic role and will triumph. Let us stay with the church so that we can share in that victory." Messenger, October, 1994, p 11.

“I call upon my brethren to allow nothing to hinder them from a daily study of God's Word.
“To us to-day comes the message to the church in Sardis: [Revelation 3:1-5 quoted].” Review and Herald, April 21, 1903.

“[Revelation 2:4-5 quoted about church of Ephesus].
“I am instructed to say that these words are applicable to Seventh-day Adventist churches in their present condition....Unless there is a reconversion, there will soon be such a lack of godliness that the Church will be represented by the barren fig tree. Great light has been given to her. She has had abundant opportunity for bearing much fruit. But selfishness has come in, and God says, ‘I will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.’” Review and Herald, February 25, 1902.

“[Revelation 3:1-5 quoted about church of Sardis].
“To the church of the present day this message is sent. I call upon our church members to read the whole of the third chapter of Revelation, and to make an application of it. The message to the church of the Laodiceans applies especially to the people of God to-day. It is a message to professing Christians who have become so much like the world that no difference can be seen.
“[Revelation 3:14-18 quoted about church of Laodicea].” Review and Herald, August 20, 1903.

“The warning for the last church also must be proclaimed to all who claim to be Christians. The Laodicean message, like a sharp, two-edged sword, must go to all the churches...It is our work to proclaim this message. Are we putting forth every effort that the churches may be warned?” Testimonies, vol 6, p 77.

“The Lord has declared that the history of the past shall be rehearsed as we enter upon the closing work. Every truth that He has given for these last days is to be proclaimed to the world. Every pillar that He has established is to be strengthened. We cannot now step off the foundation that God has established. We cannot now enter into any new organization; for this would mean apostasy from the truth. --Manuscript 129, 1905.” Selected Messages, book 2, p 390.

“The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath, of course would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be build on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.
“Who has authority to begin such a movement? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth?...
“I am instructed to say that those who would tear away the foundation that God has laid are not to be accepted as the teachers and leaders of His people. We are to hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.” Letter 242, October, 1903, Battle Creek Letters, p 81-82, (see also Selected Messages, book 1, p 204-206 & Special Testimonies, Series B#7, p 39-42).

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Revelation 12:17.

“Error is never harmless. It never sanctifies, but always brings confusion and dissension. It is always dangerous. The enemy has great power over minds that are not thoroughly fortified by prayer and established in Bible truth.” Testimonies, vol 5, p 292.

“The names of the seven churches are symbolic of the church in different periods of the Christian Era. The number 7 indicates completeness, and is symbolic of the fact that the messages extend to the end of time, while the symbols used reveal the condition of the church at different periods in the history of the world.” Acts of the Apostles, p 585.

"From the beginning, faithful souls have constituted the church on earth." Acts of the Apostles, p 11.

"God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. `Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them' (Matt. 18:20). Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ's church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church." Upward Look, p 315.

"Christ would have His followers brought together in church capacity, observing order, having rules and discipline, and all subject one to another, esteeming others better than themselves. Union and confidence are essential to the prosperity of the church." Testimonies, vol 3, p 445.

"Oh read the prayer of Christ for unity, 'Keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are' (John 17:11). The prayer of Christ is not only for those who are now His disciples [back in Christ's day], but for all those who shall believe on Christ through the words of His disciples, even to the end of the world. Jesus...looks down the lines two thousand years to His church which would be in existence in the last days, before the close of this earth's history." Manuscript Releases, vol 1, p 355.

“There was order in the church when Christ was upon the earth; and after His departure, order was strictly observed among His apostles. And now in these last days, while God is bringing His children into the unity of faith, there is more real need of order than ever before; for, as God unites His children, Satan and his evil angels are very busy to prevent this unity and to destroy it." Early Writings, p 97.

“Perfection of character means perfection in unity. ‘That they all may be one,’ Christ said, ‘as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee’ (John 17:21).” Manuscript Releases, vol 11, p 179.

“To a world that is broken up by discord and strife, their [Christ’s followers] love and unity will testify to their connection with heaven. It is the crowning evidence of the divine character of their mission.” Testimonies, vol 7, p 156-157.

“Unity will bring into the work a power that we have not yet seen. This will be the evidence to the world that the work is of God.” Review and Herald, November 12, 1901.

“...the number of the churches--seven--indicates completeness and is symbolic of the fact that the messages extend to the end of time, and are enforced today; while the figures used are symbolic of the state of God's professed people...” Manuscript Releases, vol 1, p 372 (Manuscript 81, 1900).

“The call to the gospel feast is first to be given in the highways. It must be given to those who claim to be in the highways of Christian experience--to the members of the different churches. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." Revelation 2:7. In these churches there are true worshipers and there are false worshipers. A work must be done for those who have fallen from their first love, who have lost their first zeal and interest in spiritual things. We must bring the warning before professed Christians who are transgressors of the law of God. To them the message must be given.” Testimonies, vol 6, p 76-77.

“The message to the church at Ephesus is a close, decided personal testimony to them for leaving their first love, and an earnest call to repentance, lest their candlestick be moved out of its place. We need to heed these words of warning, and repent of our sins.” The Home Missionary, November 1, 1897.

“The supreme love which sister Palmer has ever had for herself has stood directly in the way of her spiritual advancement, and if continued, will surely prevent her perfecting a Christian character. Sister Palmer is deceived in herself. She thinks she is in a favorable condition before God, when the message to the Laodicean church applies to her.” Pamphlet #138, p 48.

“And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou are rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.” Revelation 2:8-11.

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Revelation 3:7-13.

“You think, that those who worship before the saint's feet, (Rev. 3:9), will at last be saved. Here I must differ with you; for God shew me that this class were professed Adventists, who had fallen away, and ‘crucified to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.’” Word to the Little Flock, p 12.

“Do not think that because you are here in Battle Creek, God is not supervising the work in any other parts of the field....
“The great army of evil is constantly working to gain the victory for Satan. The synagogue of Satan has come out to contest every step made in the advancement of truth. Will those who profess to believe the truth join the powers of darkness? You have done it, but not all.” 1901 General Conference Bulletin, April 5, 1901, p 86.

“Those who love and keep the commandments of God are most obnoxious to the synagogue of Satan, and the powers of evil will manifest their hatred toward them to the fullest extent possible. John foresaw the conflict between the remnant church and the power of evil, and said, ‘The dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’” Bible Commentary, vol 7, p 974.

“This has always been applicable to God's people in every age of the world, but how much more so to the remnant church who have to meet the constant and most powerful masterly workings of the power of darkness for this last time.” That I May Know Him, p 346.

“The people of God have had their attention called to the ark of the testimony, and the law within it has been revealed with its unalterable precepts. In holy vision, John saw the remnant church on the earth, in an age of lawlessness, and he points them out in unmistakable language: ‘Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.’ They are in harmony with that law that rests in the ark in the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary.” Signs of the Times, February 3, 1888.

“Christ's true disciples follow Him through sore conflicts, enduring self-denial and experiencing bitter disappointment; but this teaches them the guilt and woe of sin, and they are led to look upon it with abhorrence. Partakers of Christ's sufferings, they are destined to be partakers of His glory. In holy vision the prophet saw the ultimate triumph of God's remnant church.” Acts of Apostles, p 590.

3) “If the remnant people of God will walk before Him in humility and faith, He will carry out through them His eternal purpose, enabling them to work harmoniously in giving to the world the truth as it is in Jesus. He will use all --men, women, and children--in making the light shine forth to the world and calling out a people that will be true to His commandments. Through the faith that His people exercise in Him, God will make known to the world that He is the true God, the God of Israel.” Testimonies, vol 9, p 274.

4) “Coming events, of a solemn character, are opening before us, and God would not have any one of us think that in these last days there is no more that we need to know. This is a continual snare of Satan. He would have us meet coming events without that special preparation which is essential to guide them through every difficulty. He would have all stumbling their way along in ignorance, making self-conceit, self-esteem, self-confidence, take the place of true knowledge. The more satisfied anyone is with himself, and his present knowledge, the less earnestly and humbly will he seek to be guided into all truth. The less of the Holy Spirit of God he has, the more self-satisfied and complacent he will feel. He will not search earnestly and with the deepest interest to know more of truth. But unless he keeps pace with the Leader, who is guiding into all truth, he will be left behind, belated, blinded, confused, because he is not walking in the light....All heaven is looking upon the remnant people of God, to see if they will make truth alone their shield and buckler.” Manuscript Releases, vol 5, p 50-51.

5) "Christ would have His followers brought together in church capacity, observing order, having rules and discipline, and all subject one to another, esteeming others better than themselves. Union and confidence are essential to the prosperity of the church." Testimonies, vol 3, p 445.

6) “Through the grace freely given them of God, all will seek to answer the prayer of Christ, that His disciples should be one, even as He and the Father are one. Peace, love, mercy, and benevolence will be the abiding principles of the soul. The love of Christ will be the theme of every tongue...The people of God will be abiding in Christ, the love of Jesus will be revealed, and one Spirit will animate all hearts, regenerating and renewing all in the image of Christ, fashioning all hearts alike. As living branches of the True Vine, all will be united to Christ, the living head. Christ will abide in every heart, guiding, comforting, sanctifying, and presenting to the world the unity of the followers of Jesus, thus bearing testimony that the heavenly credentials are supplied to the remnant church. In the oneness of Christ's church it will be proved that God sent His only-begotten Son into the world.
“When God's people are one in the unity of the Spirit, all of Phariseeism, all of self-righteousness, which was the sin of the Jewish nation, will be expelled from all hearts. The mold of Christ will be upon each individual member of His body, and His people will be new bottles into which He can pour His new wine, and the new wine will not break the bottles. God will make known the mystery which hath been hidden for ages. He will make known what are the ‘riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory’ (Col. 1:27).” Selected Messages, book 1, p 385-386.

“As we near the close of time, Satan comes down with great power, knowing that his time is short. Especially will his power be exercised upon the remnant. He will war against them, and seek to divide and scatter them, that they may grow weak and be overthrown. The people of God should move understandingly, and should be united in their efforts. They should be of the same mind, of the same judgment; then their efforts will not be scattered, but will tell forcibly in the upbuilding of the cause of present truth. Order must be observed, and there must be union in maintaining order, or Satan will take the advantage.” Testimonies, vol 1, p 210.

“The oneness and unity of God's truth-believing remnant people carries powerful conviction to the world that they have the truth, and are the peculiar, chosen people of God. This oneness and unity disconcerts the enemy, and he is determined that it shall not exist. The present truth, believed in the heart and exemplified in the life, makes God's people one, and gives them a powerful influence.” Testimonies, vol 1, p 327.

7) “If we hope to wear the crown, we must expect to bear the cross. Our greatest trials will come from those who profess godliness. It was so with the world's Redeemer; it will be so with his followers. I should doubt whether I were a child of God, if the world, or even all professed Christians, spoke well of me. Those who are in earnest to win the crown of eternal life need not be surprised or disheartened because at every step toward the heavenly Canaan they meet with obstacles and encounter trials. The opposition which Christ received came from his own nation, who would have been greatly blessed had they accepted him. In like manner the remnant church receive opposition from those who profess to be their brethren.” Review and Herald, August 28, 1883.

8) “He would soon either have united with the remnant people of God or been left [to] one side.” Testimonies, vol 1, p 251.

“All who desire to draw away from God's remnant people in order to follow their own corrupt hearts would throw themselves willingly into Satan's hands, and should have the privilege. There are others among us who are in danger. They have an exalted opinion of their own ability, while their influence in many respects has been but little better than that of Elder Hull. Unless they thoroughly reform, the cause would be better off without them. Unsanctified ministers injure the cause and are a heavy tax upon their brethren.” Testimonies, vol 1, p 439.

9) “I saw that if God's people in ____ would prosper, they must take a decided position in regard to these things, and thereby cut off the influence of those who are causing distraction and division by teaching sentiments contrary to the body. Such are wandering stars. They seem to emit a little light; they profess and carry along a little truth, and thus deceive the inexperienced. Satan endows them with his spirit, but God is not with them; His Spirit does not dwell in them. Jesus prayed that His disciples might be one, as He is one with the Father, ‘that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me.’...
“Had [God’s people]...earnestly sought and labored to be in union with the prayer of Christ, to be one as He is one with the Father, Satan's work would have been defeated. If all had sought to be in union with the body, the fanaticism which has brought so deep a stain upon the cause of present truth...would not have arisen; for it is the result of drawing off from the body, and seeking to have an original, independent faith, regardless of the faith of the body.” Testimonies, vol 1, p 327.

10) “Some have advanced the thought that, as we near the close of time, every child of God will act independently of any religious organization. But I have been instructed by the Lord that in this work there is no such thing as every man's being independent....And, in order that the Lord's work may advance healthfully and solidly, His people must draw together.” Testimonies, vol 9, p 258.

11) “Mysteries into which angels desire to look, which prophets and kings and righteous men desired to understand, the remnant church will carry in messages from God to the world.” Testimonies, vol 6, p 19.

“As God's people approach the final crisis, they must with increasing power proclaim the message He has given them. The warning must be given to the churches. God's requirements must be laid before those who are transgressing His law. They must be made to understand that this is a life and death question. God's remnant people are to fill the earth with the cry of the third angel.” Review and Herald, July 16, 1901.

“We stand as the remnant people in these last days to promulgate the truth and swell the cry of the third angel's wonderful distinct message, giving the trumpet a certain sound. Eternal truth, which we have adhered to from the beginning is to be maintained in all its increasing importance to the close of probation. The trumpet is to give no uncertain sound. We must devise and plan wisely, practicing simplicity and the strictest economy and manifesting Christ's likeness of character. Faith, eternal faith in the past and in the present truth is to be talked, is to be prayed, is to be presented with pen and voice.” Manuscript Releases, vol 3, p 301.

“The remnant people of God are to endure persecutions. ‘And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’ They are to give the warning message against the power represented by ‘the beast.’...The remnant church of God are to give the warning of the third angel to the world: ‘If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation.’” Signs of the Times, June 18, 1894.

12) “Perfection of character means perfection in unity. ‘That they all may be one,’ Christ said, ‘as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee’ (John 17:21).” Manuscript Releases, vol 11, p 179.

13) “I saw four angels who had a work to do on the earth, and were on their way to accomplish it. Jesus was clothed with priestly garments. He gazed in pity on the remnant, then raised His hands, and with a voice of deep pity cried, ‘My blood, Father, My blood, My blood, My blood!’ Then I saw an exceeding bright light come from God, who sat upon the great white throne, and was shed all about Jesus. Then I saw an angel with a commission from Jesus, swiftly flying to the four angels who had a work to do on the earth, and waving something up and down in his hand, and crying with a loud voice, ‘Hold! Hold! Hold! Hold! until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.’
“I asked my accompanying angel the meaning of what I heard, and what the four angels were about to do. He said to me that it was God that restrained the powers, and that He gave His angels charge over things on the earth; that the four angels had power from God to hold the four winds, and that they were about to let them go; but while their hands were loosening, and the four winds were about to blow, the merciful eye of Jesus gazed on the remnant that were not sealed, and He raised His hands to the Father and pleaded with Him that He had spilled His blood for them. Then another angel was commissioned to fly swiftly to the four angels and bid them hold, until the servants of God were sealed with the seal of the living God in their foreheads.” Early Writings, p 38.

14) “Let our prayers go forth from unfeigned lips that the union for which our Lord prayed, may be found among his people. All who are united in church capacity, may be of one mind, of one heart, of one judgment, that Satan may not take any fresh advantage of the followers of Christ. We have one faith, one Lord, one God and Father, who is above all, and in you all; then let there be a glorifying of God with one mouth, and one spirit. Where there is union there is strength. United we stand, divided we fall.” Review and Herald, July 10, 1888.

15) “When God's people so fully separate themselves from evil that he can let the light of heaven rest upon them in rich measure, and shine forth from them to the world, then there will be fulfilled, more fully than it has ever been fulfilled in the past, the prophecy of Isaiah, in which the servant of God declared of the remnant church in the last days: "The Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.” Review and Herald, March 31, 1910.

“I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plagues shall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them. He hopes to deceive the honest and lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light will shine, and all who are honest will leave the fallen churches, and take their stand with the remnant.” Early Writings, p 261.

16) “When he [Satan] suggests doubts as to whether we are really the people whom God is leading, whom by tests and provings He is preparing to stand in the great day, be ready to meet his insinuations by presenting the clear evidence from the Word of God that this is the remnant people who are keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” Review and Herald, April 8, 1884.

1990 Herbert Ford, news director for the denomination, told the Indianapolis Star that Adventists who want to cling to the church’s historic anti-Catholic beliefs represent only about 1,000 of the church’s 750,000 North American members. ARKANSAS CATHOLIC, July 29, 1990 (Page 8) (emphasis supplied).

Revelation 18 is a movement: the Third Angels Message:
--The Righteousness of Christ: this precious conditional gift (SD 189, 1SM 377, COL 223, PK 591, SD 369) is imputed by faith to every repentant sinner (6BC 1071-72, 1SM 392, 397, 317, 363, SD 240, 5T 469, 3T 371-72, GW 161, 8T 208-09, MLT 311, MB 115-16, MM 115), and enables us to be accepted back to God (PP 353), and then to receive His grace (PP 431, 1SM 351).  This grace enables us to overcome all sin, perfecting holiness in the fear of God before Christ's second coming (PK 175, 4T 567, TM 92, 150, 3T 528, DA 555-56, 1SM 395, AA 531, SD 315, 5T 744).  We must use our will power to take the first step in obedience to God before His grace comes to help us overcome (Joshua 3:13, 15-17, MLT 100) and Christ's righteousness imparted to us (7BC 972, Ev 596, 6BC 1096, 1SM 241, TM 92, MYP 35, DA 439).  The law of God is still binding upon the Christian today, and Christ's keeping of it does not free us from having to keep it also (TM 94, SD 240, TM 131, 6BC 1073).  Perfection is not instantaneous (SL 10, 92, MYP 114, 3T 325, 8T 312-13, 1T 340, 2T 472, AA 560-61, 7BC 947, COL 65-66, 1SM 317), but is progressive throughout the lifetime while striving and advancing upward on the straight and narrow pathway to heaven (AA 533, 560-61, 2T 170, 408-09, 479, MYP 73, 144-45, 1SM 28, FE 218, COL 315, 5BC 1085, TM 150).  Thus while we are on the earth, no one is saved, or can they say or feel that they are saved until they are in heaven (1SM 314, 3SM 354).  Christ's robe of righteousness will not cover any unrighteousness nor one unconfessed sin.  Hence no one can find salvation in Jesus while continuing in sin (FLB 113, COL 312, 2RH 232, 2ST 307, 3ST 363, 1SM 396, LHU 150, 6BC 1072, DA 555-56).

In 1888 Ellen White warned that a Constitutional amendment bringing with it Federal
Sunday legislation would bring oppression on followers of God. RH, Dec. 18, 1888

How can there be such confident assurances today, as we clearly hear the denominational leaders trumpet from the pulpits of the land, “
She is the ship of God, perhaps listing badly, yet we are assured that she is sailing steadfastly into the heavenly port…. STAY WITH THE SHIP!” “She is the ‘apple of God’s eye,’ ‘the remnant church.’ DON’T GIVE UP, NOW!” “Defective and feeble though she be, -- indeed, she is not perfect, -- but God will purify His church. THE APOSTATES WILL LEAVE! DON’T BE FOUND OUTSIDE WITH THEM.” “The church will appear as about to fall, BUT SHE WILL NOT FALL!”

Does this sound familiar?!!! The messenger of the Lord warned us of this very thing happening a very long time ago!

"These men were constantly saying, “God is with us. We stand in the light. We have the truth.” I inquired who these men were, and was told that they were ministers and leading men who had rejected the light themselves, and were unwilling that others should receive it." EARLY WRITINGS, PAGE 241

"They (the Remnant) resisted the efforts which were made to fasten the cords tighter and refused to heed the repeated assertions: “God is with us.” “We have the truth with us.” Early Writings, p. 240.2

THE WORLD MUST NOT BE INTRODUCED INTO THE CHURCH, AND MARRIED TO THE CHURCH, FORMING A BOND OF UNITY. THROUGH THIS MEANS THE CHURCH WILL BECOME INDEED CORRUPT, AND AS STATED IN REVELATION, 'A CAGE OF EVERY UNCLEAN AND HATEFUL BIRD.'" TESTIMONIES TO MINISTERS, P. 265.

In Jerusalem 70 A.D. False Prophets were Bribed to Tell the People to Remain at the Apostate Church - the SAME THING is again happening today!

Promoting Sunday Worship

Book designed for pastors

"While the Sabbath commandment has a distinct practical value, the specific dayin and of itself, doesn’t. Thus...keeping any other day could ‘work’..." A Pause For Peace: What God’s Gift of the Sabbath Can Mean for You, p 114, by Clifford Goldstein, published by the Pacific Press Publishing Association in 1992.

"God is glad for us to go to church both days [Saturday and Sunday]. He wants us to worship Him both days....Anybody who takes a whole day out of every week to spend with God will have more of God’s power in his life, and God can do more through him and in him." Signs of the Times, March, 1990, p 22-23.

"What Do Seventh-day Adventists Believe? Hear pastor/evangelist Jere Webb present a fresh look at ‘The Truth.’ Subjects include...‘Christ centered reasons for Sunday worship’..." Pacific Union Recorder, June 4, 1990, p 27.

"As the Jews departed from God, and failed to make the righteousness of Christ their own by faith, the Sabbath lost its significance to them." Desire of Ages, p 283.

Some will argue that the various SDA books or the articles in the church papers, which are both printed off the church's press, carry only the views of the authors and not the authority of the SDA church denomination unless specifically noted.  But this is not correct!

In regards to SDA authored books from SDA presses:
"Seventh-day Adventist publishing houses, built by denominational investment, were instituted not to publish whatever a worker may elect, but to produce the finest literature possible to give our basic message the widest consistent circulation in the most representative fashion.
"Our houses...are partners in a threefold compact--they serve and protect the denomination itself, the denominational publisher, and the denominational author.  They have both a denominational name to safeguard, and a publisher's name and reputation to protect.  They, therefore, have book committees to read, evaluate, and recommend specific action and improvements on manuscripts.  They have boards to make final decision, skilled staffs to check, edit, and correct the copy, and put it into acceptable form....
"When the finished product carries the stamp of a standard publishing house, it bears denominational approval.  It is then a denominational, not a private, publication.  It has a measure of authority and dignity not otherwise possible." Ministry, December, 1948, p 23, Review and Herald Publishing Association.

So SDA authored books carry denominational approval, and are a denominational publication because they are printed upon the denomination's presses.  This would hold true regarding all the SDA church papers and magazines which also are printed off of the denomination's presses.
But specifically, these are stated to speak for the SDA church: The Voice of Prophecy programs, and hence its Voice of Prophecy Newspaper, and The Signs of the Times.  These are "presentations of the Seventh-day Adventist church." Eternity magazine, September, 1957, quoting the stated positions of SDA church leaders.

Not only these papers, but especially the Adventist Review.  The Adventist Review (AR) is called "The voice of the church, for the church." (AR January 20, 1983, p 8).  The chairman of their board is the General Conference president (AR January 20, 1983 p 8), and so the Review"has become inseparable from the church.  Through the years it has told the story of the church, and continues to do so" (AR October 24, 1985 back page).  Besides, the Review was called "The official organ of the Seventh-day Adventist church" (Review, May 19, 1966, front cover).

Because false prophets were hired to tell the people to remain at the apostate church in the prefigure type, so the same thing is occurring, and must occur, in the antitypical literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9.

"To establish their power more firmly, they [The Jewish Leaders in context] bribed false prophets to proclaim, even while Roman legions were besieging the temple, that the people were to wait for deliverance from God.To the last, multitudes held fast to the belief that the Most High would interpose for the defeat of their adversaries. But Israel had spurned the divine protection, and now she had no defense. Unhappy Jerusalem! rent by internal distensions, the blood of her children slain by one another's hands crimsoning her streets, while alien armies beat down her fortifications and slew her men of war!" E.G. White, The Great Controversy, 1911 edition, p. 29.

Meanwhile, true prophets of God had warned the true people of God to flee Jerusalem. These people left the precincts of Jerusalem in the autumn of A.D. 66. However, they left the apostate Jewish church years earlier during the ministry of Jesus and the disciples, to comprise all the Christian churches dotting the hills of Judea.SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 5, 74-77, and Desire of Ages, 232.

Ellen White clearly states in The Great Controversy, p. 25, 1911 edition, that the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. was a PREFIGURE. Prefigure means TYPE, which demands a similar ANTITYPICAL FULFILLMENT. Then she says that another LITERAL FULFILLMENT of Ezekiel 9 will occur. So all we have to do is go back to the TYPE, THE PREFIGURE and see what happened then.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled;" Manuscript Releases Volume One [Nos. 19-96], p. 260.2

The REMNANT that cause the shaking is the Third Angel, or the 144,000. She is the firstfruits, firstborn Zion of Hebrews 12:22, 23, and Rev. 14:1-4.

"I then saw the THIRD ANGEL. Said my accompanying angel, 'Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares, and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner." E.G. White, Early Writings, 118.

"The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message WAS NOT to be committed to the religious leaders of the people." E.. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, 199, 200.

"The third angel's message will not be comprehended, the light which will lighten the earth with its glory will be called a false light, by those who refuse to walk in its advancing glory." E.G. White, Review and Herald, 5-27-1890, p. 321.

This Third Angel is the bride who awakens the ten virgins. She is the firstborn, or firstfruits, called out directly by God. Then she and God awaken the ten-virgin guests, Christ's Object Lessons, 405-406.

"Characteristics of True Reformers.--Here [Isa. 8:11-14] are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of the third angel's message, these who avow themselves God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who is it that calls them, The repairer of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151.

This issue is most critical when you consider that in the typical fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, which was the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., false prophets were bribed by the apostate Jewish "chosen" organization, to tell the people to remain at the organized church. True prophets were telling the people when to flee Jerusalem, and Jesus began "gathering out" those who would take the gospel to the world, in 27 A.D. as one of the first works of His ministry, Desire of Ages, 232. This, of course, refers to the "gathering out" of His disciples.

"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies.Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

"The prophecy which He uttered was twofold in its meaning; while foreshadowing the destruction of Jerusalem, it prefigured also the terrors of the last great day [beginning at His Sanctuary]." E.G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 25, 1911 edition.

"Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, vol. 5, 211.

I saw that many who profess to believe the truth for these last days, think it strange that the children of Israel murmured as they journeyed; that after the wonderful dealings of God with them, they should be so ungrateful as to forget what He had done for them. Said the angel, "Ye have done WORSE THAN THEY" {CET 158.2}

When the day comes when the law of God is made void, and the church is sifted by the fiery trials that are to try all that live upon the earth, a great proportion of those who are supposed to be genuine will give heed to seducing spirits, and will turn traitors and betray sacred trusts. They will prove OUR VERY WORST PERSECUTORS "Of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them;" and many will give heed to seducing spirits. {6BC 1065.1}

Special Testimony for Ministers and Workers—No. 11, Page 2 "The Lord would have his people divested of everything unscriptural in regard to the ministry. The men called to the ministry should not be made idols of; they should not be looked upon with superstitious reverence; and because of the power vested in them through their office, sin in them should not lose its offensiveness. Their very office makes sin in them more exceedingly sinful; for in committing sin they make themselves the ministers of sin, the agents of Satan, through whom he can work with success to perpetuate sin."
