escape

Adventism's crowning sin was that of imputing all of her wisdom and power unto false gods.

Babylon's (Adventism's) crowning sin was that of imputing (impregnanting) all of her wisdom and power unto false gods.

“We have no time to lose. The end is near. The passage from place to place to spread the truth will soon be hedged with dangers on the right hand and the left. Everything will be placed to obstruct the way of the Lord’s messengers, so that they will not be able to do that which it is possible for them to do now.”

"When probation ends, it will come suddenly, unexpectedly--at a time when we are least expecting it. But we can have a clean record in heaven today, and know that God accepts us" (7BC 989).

The only ones to escape were those who follow the instruction Jesus gave to “flee.”

– How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him? – Hebrews 2:3

Escape by claiming the Word of God - obey it and believe it, claim it, trace your fingers over the exceedingly great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:4) God has given us through His Son - claim them as your ticket into the city of God like John 6:37! Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

– How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him? – Hebrews 2:3

The verses that follow are about the faithful people of God fleeing destruction—fleeing to a place of protection that God will provide. This is more proof that God will in fact protect some.

And here is what He will protect them from: “For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATIONsuch as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should NO FLESH BE SAVED: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:21-22).

This is Christ’s prophecy of HORRORS UNPRECEDENTED IN HUMAN HISTORY—besieging the world right at the end. He said that unless He intervened, mankind would wipe itself completely off the face of the Earth!

Nations have risen, and fallen, in the contro-
versy between Christ and Satan; but the last
leading nation to arise is now (USA) in existence;
it will be the battlefield for the final strug-
gle. From its (USA) borders, will be heralded the
last great message, and from its (USA) people will
be gathered a remnant church. The members
of this church (Zion, church triumphant = those who go by faith into the Most Holy Place in the Heavenly Sanctuary) will join with those of other coun-
tries, who, in the very presence of the beast,
stand true to the God of heaven and earth when
the Saviour comes to receive His subjects.

The time of the fall of all nations approaches.
They will be succeeded by the kingdom of God.
Christ and the Father will reign forever, and
the subjects will be those who have developed a
character in harmony with Jehovah ; and they
will have done this when surrounded on all sides
by the concentrated iniquity of Babylon, Persia,
Greece, and Rome. Lucifer claimed that it
was impossible to serve God in heaven. Seer of Patmos by Stephen N. Haskell

Some will be thrown into prison. Then the
plagues begin to fall. ** How much she hath
glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much
torment and sorrow give her. . . . There-
fore shall her plagues come in one day (or one
year), death, and mourning, and famine ; and
she shall be utterly burned with fire."

During this time of trouble, many who re-
jected the messages when they were given
remember the call of God, and when it is too
late, seek to recall His messengers. " Behold,
the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will
send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread,
nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words
of the Lord: and they shall wander from sea to
sea, and from the north even to the east, they
shall run to and fro to seek the word of the
Lord, and shall not find it."

There is no word of God in Babylon ; for she
is the one who exalted self above Jehovah, who
caused the two witnesses to prophesy in sack-
cloth for forty and two months, and who
thought to change the eternal times and laws of
the universe. "And in her was found the blood
of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were
slain upon the earth." Those who love the
Word of God have withdrawn from her (USA and ALL 501c3 Adventist churches) midst,
and during the time of trouble, are hidden from
the wrath of man and the fury of the plagues.
As probation has closed, " the light of a candle
shall shine no more at all" in Babylon. The
voice of joy is turned to mourning; the social
gatherings and the marriage feasts no longer
offer any attraction; merchants and the great
men of earth fail because of the destruction of
great Babylon. The earth is literally turned

BE YE SEPARATE.

upside down, and it reels to and fro like a
drunken man ; for great Babylon has come in
remembrance before God. Her iniquities have
reached unto heaven, and God comes down to
reward her double according to her works.

As the ancient city of Babylon was over-
thrown because she forsook the way of life, so
modern Babylon dies. None need partake of
her plagues ; for all had an opportunity to
separate from her midst. God is to-day making
up His spiritual kingdom. His subjects are on
the earth, and by the strong magnet of His love
He is drawing to Himself all who prefer a
spiritual life to one of earth.

The story of Babylon the city, and again of
Babylon the church, is the picture divinely given
of a worldly life under the dominion of the
power of the prince of this world. The little
church, hidden from trouble during these
last days, may seem to have lost much by
following the Man of Nazareth ; but their love
of truth links their hearts with God, and they
taste the joys of an endless life. The great
controversy still continues ; it ends in the over-
throw of Babylon, the mother of harlots, and
the confusion of Babel is replaced by the divine
harmony, which, for six thousand years, has
been marred by sin.

  • Escape from the danger.

  • A Shocking and Sobering Warning to Get Out of the USA from A Sermon by AT Jones in 1901. Download original document here with the following quote in it:

“The day is coming when every Seventh-day Adventist in the United States would give everything that he has, and his life almost, if he could be outside the United States. Let me say that again.  I am speaking something now that interests every Seventh-day Adventist.  The day is coming, and is not far off, when every Seventh-day Adventist will wish to the depths of his (or her) soul that he were out of the United States: and multitudes will condemn themselves, and will fret themselves under the condemnation, that they did not go out of the United States WHEN THEY HAD A CHANCE.

“God set this country of the United States as the light to the world with the principles of God, for all mankind, and nations particularly.  Since these principles have been the place of refuge for all people to come hitherto, the place of the land of liberty and light, and blessing to mankind, the effect will be directly contrary hereafter, and the message of God is now to all nations, ENTER NOT INTO THE UNITED STATES; and those that are in it, GET OUT.   And this is God’s call to Seventh-day Adventists, to get out, cut loose, sell out, leave here; For the day is coming when you cannot sell, AND CANNOT LEAVE.”

I have verified that this statement was taken from a sermon given by A.T. Jones on April 13, 1901 in Battle Creek, Michigan. It was published in the Gen. Conf. Bulletin of the Review & Herald on April 16, 1901.  In light of what is now taking place in our nation at this time re: SAME SEX MARRIAGES MADE NATIONAL LAW, CALLING FOR SUNDAY LAW, the removal of liberty and prophecies about coming persecution, imprisonment, torture and death it would seem logical to escape what seems inevitable.

  • The TWIN INSTITUTIONS setup during creation week are the sacred marriage between a man and a woman and the 7th day Sabbath. Twins are born close together. The law making void sacred marriage between a man and a woman is the firstborn twin - soon to be followed quickly, speedily by the Sunday law making the spiritual marriage between God and man void by demanding people desecrate His Holy Time set aside. It is like committing spiritual adultery when we do not worship God during the time HE set aside for special communion and rejuvenation with our creator God through His Son. IT is our special time to spend with our spiritual husband, our Bridegroom Jesus Christ. Christ created all these beautiful gifts for us and then wants His Bride to spend time with Him on the special day he set aside and sanctified/blessed just for us to commune with Him - it is a special SEAL or signet ring He gives those who do obey Him = The Ten Commandments. The Sabbath is a SIGN of the POWER of Christ. So when we disregard/slight Him by coming to worship another Spirit (Satan - the god of this world) - MANY UNKNOWINGLY - who is one trying to steal Christ's Bride from Him - on a counterfeit day - they are really committing spiritual adultery.

"The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation, in the decree enforcing the papal sabbathwill be a warning to usIt will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains."—Testimonies for the Church 5:464, 465.

“Do not become weary in the distribution of our literature. This is a work you may all engage in successfully if you are but connected with God.” Welfare Ministry, 162.

“As long as probation continues, there will be opportunity for the canvasser to work. When the (501c3=non-profit/tax-exempt) religious denominations unite with the papacy to oppress God’s people, places where there is religious freedom will be opened by evangelistic canvassing.”—6 Testimonies, 478:2.

"The less we make direct charges against authorities and powers, the greater work we shall be able to accomplish, both in America and in foreign countries. Foreign nations will follow the example of the United States. Though she leads out, yet the same crisis will come upon our people in all parts of the world" Testimonies for the Church, vol. 6, p. 395.1 (Ellen G. White).

"Brethren and sisters, would that I might say something to awaken you to the importance of this time, the significance of the events that are now taking place. I point you to the aggressive movements now being made for the restriction of religious liberty. God's sanctified memorial has been torn down, and in its place a false sabbath, bearing no sanctity, stands before the world. And while the powers of darkness are stirring up the elements from beneath, the Lord God of heaven is sending power from above to meet the emergency by arousing His living agencies to exalt the law of heaven. Now, just now, is our time to work in foreign countries. As America, the land of religious liberty, shall unite with the papacy in forcing the conscience and compelling men to honor the false sabbath, the people of every country on the globe will be led to follow her example. Our people are not half awake to do all in their power, with the facilities within their reach, to extend the message of warningTestimonies for the Church, vol. 6, p. 18.2 (Ellen G. White).

"God keeps a record with the nations: the figures are swelling against them in the books of heaven; and WHEN it shall have become a law that the transgression of the first day of the week shall be met with punishment, THEN their cup will be full" The Review and Herald March 9, 1886 paragraph 22 (Ellen G. White).

I was especially pleased to learn of the efforts put forth during the past year in the tourist centers of this conference. A special work is to be done in places where people are constantly coming and going. Christ labored in Capernaum much of the time, because this was a place through which travelers were constantly passing, and where many often tarried. There are now twenty-six churches and nine companies in the Southern California Conference, with a membership of over fifteen hundred. What a work could be done in this field, if all these brethren and sisters were to improve every opportunity to let the light of truth shine forth! RH July 12, 1906, par. 3

As long as probation continues, there will be opportunity for the canvasser to work. When the religious denominations unite with the papacy to oppress God's people, places where there is religious freedom will be opened by evangelistic canvassing. If in one place the persecution becomes severe, let the workers do as Christ directed: "When they persecute you in one city, flee ye into another." If persecution comes there, go to still another place. God will lead his people, making them a blessing in many places. Were it not for persecution, they would not be so widely scattered abroad to proclaim the truth. And Christ declares, "Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come." Until in heaven is spoken the word, "It is finished," there will be places for labor, and hearts to receive the message. {RH, October 7, 1902 par. 13}

USA SOON TO declare a state of emergency and closing of borders like France: https://kauilapele.wordpress.com/2015/11/15/another-french-false-flag-a-few-articles/

"By 23:06 [within two hours of the event happening] Wikipedia had an article up that is extremely detailed, containing statements from a former French President and a complete outline of events at several locations, matters that the press I read had not by then reported.
"In the 23:06 version is this comment: “In a televised statement at approximately23:58, French President François Hollande declared a state of emergency and closing of borders... How could the writer report what President Hollande did at 23:58, as if it’s a fait accompli, when he’s writing at 23:06, before it happened?"

I also KNOW we must get our families OUT of the USA quickly, quickly. Very, very soon we would give everything that we have, and our life almost, if we could be outside the United States. I am almost frantic knowing this and feeling so helpless about it. I know terrible things are coming very shortly. The borders are going to be closed very soon. Travel in the USA will be almost impossible. ALL the large cities will be baracaded, no one coming out or going in. We must not hesitate a moment. We have only a few short months left and maybe less than that. We must be on our knees pleading with God to forgive us, claiming John 6:37 "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out" and asking God to help us protect our families. To show us what country to escape too. They are ALL going to be dangerous, but the USA is going to be the worst of them. I still think central Chile, up in the Andes Mountains beside a mountain river. But am pleading with God for clear direction. I don't know where to go for sure. But the mountains keep coming to my mind. Bring your wife and children. It is time to cut our losses and get out as quickly as possible. The US dollar/stocks and bonds are going to be absolutely worthless very quickly. The whole country is only 3 days away from complete chaos - the day the economy fails. Killing for food.

I would encourage you to get down on your knees alone and pour out your heart to God and I will do the same. Let's commit our life from this moment forward to God alone in the name of His Son Jesus. Say, "Take me oh Lord as Wholly Thine. I lay ALL my plans at thy feet. Use me today in Thy service. Abide with me and let all my work be wrought in thee." Today is the day of Salvation. Let's prepare to meet our God. Trace your fingers over this verse and say it aloud and believe it because God said it: "And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine" Leviticus 20:26. God's Word is a consuming fire, and when you claim it, believe it and live the Ten Commandments out in our daily choices - it works like magic. Especially Luke 21:15. Amazing promise from God: "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."

"During the night a very impressive scene passed before me. There seemed to be great confusion and the conflict of armies. A messenger from the Lord stood before me, and said, "Call your household. I will lead you; follow me." He led me down a dark passage, through a forest, then through the clefts of (THE ANDES in Chile/Argentina???) mountains, and said, "Here you are safe." There were others who had been led to this retreat. The heavenly messenger said. "The time of trouble has come as a thief in the night, as the Lord warned you it would come" {Mar 270.4}. Link to rest of quote: Maranatha, p. 270.4

The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones. {9T 11.2}

"Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this Day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober,"  1 Thessalonians 5:1-5.

"Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerningHe reveals deep and hidden things," Daniel 2:20-22

Thailand Vs Malaysia: Our Review = non-adventists...but living like an Adventist should in respect to diet! :)
Hey,

We’ve just returned to Thailand from our visa renewal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and we wanted to give you a quick comparison of Thailand and Malaysia.

Now, to be fair, we have spent a lot more time in Thailand than we have in Malaysia, but if you are thinking of traveling abroad yourself then it is always a good idea to get others people’s opinions before you go.

First, let’s start off with Malaysia as we have just come from there this last week and its capital Kuala Lumpur.

The pluses ... Well, when we first entered Malaysia we were given 3 month visas as British citizens. For free!

This is really good and saves you having to pay for visa extensions if you plan on staying for a little while.

In contrast, Thailand offers us just 30 days upon entry, unless we have already applied for longer visas before entering the country.

Cost-wise, Thailand is cheaper for sure and this goes for the fruit as well.

Where we stayed in Kuala Lumpur was a residential area, meaning very simply that you really needed a car or taxi to get to stores where you can buy your produce, etc.

In Thailand we have found that in general where people live and the amenities are normally close together, so you don’t have to go long distances if you want any basic essentials.

The weather in Kuala Lumpur was very humid in February and coming from northern Thailand, which has more of a dry heat we know which one we prefer.

When it comes to fruits and vegetables, Thailand and especially Chiang Mai have a great selection of produce, including organic veggies as well.

In Kuala Lumpur, the fruit is more expensive and not quite as abundant as it is in  Chiang Mai Thailand.

But, there is one particular fruit that you really should taste while in Malaysia and that is the king of fruits known as durian.

Some of the very best durians are to be found in Malaysia.

If you think Thai durians are good, just wait till you try some really good Malaysian ones. They are truly epic!

If you are into buying organic produce and many of us are, then both places offer organic veggies and organic fruits to some degree.

Overall we would say Malaysia is somewhere around one and a half times more cost-wise than Thailand.

Personal safety is another very important aspect for us when we visit anywhere and both Thailand and Malaysia feel pretty safe places to be.

Of course, that does not mean that you should not take care of yourself and be sensible, but in our worldly travels we like Thailand a lot for safety and Malaysia seems pretty good as well.

Just one word of warning, the driving standards in Thailand are not as good as  they could be, so always be very vigilant when out on the road there.

Malaysia definitely has a more western feel to it and this is probably no doubt in part due to its colonial past. Thailand feels very Asian and laid back to us and that’s something we love about it.

Now ... do you want to discover how you can travel around the world for next to nothing if you live in the US or Canada?

OUR TEST

Spirit of Prophecy Volume 4. Also known as the Original Great Controversy 1884: “Protestantism will yet stretch HER hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of SPIRITUALISM, SHE will reach over the ABYSS to CLASP HANDS with the ROMAN POWER; and under the influence of this THREEFOLD UNION…” 1884 GC 405. (Read on to see how “Spiritualism” will “ENSNARE!”)

THE CHANGE: 1911 Great Controversy:

“THE PROTESTANTS of the United States will be FOREMOST in stretching hands across the GULF to GRASP the HAND of SPIRITUALISMTHEY will reach over the ABYSS to CLASP HANDS with the ROMAN POWER; and under the influence of this THREEFOLD UNION…” 1911 GC 588.

CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE? In spite of the fact that ROME has been playing footsie with SPIRIT MANIFESTATIONS- it is NOT “THEY” but “SHE” (APOSTATE PROTESTANTISM!) - that will “ASTOUND THE BEAST!” with the “MIRACLES” that they will be able to perform “BEFORE HIM!”

The place of GREATEST “LIGHT” -will be the PLACE of GREATEST “DARKNESS!”

In an effort to HIDE what the Prophetess did write about the END of the ADVENTIST CHURCH- This NEVER APPEARED in the REHASHED “TESTIMONIES TO MINISTERS.”

AMERICA, and especially BATTLE CREEK, where the GREATEST “LIGHT’ from Heaven has been SHINING upon the People, can become the PLACE of GREATEST PERIL and DARKNESS. Special Testimonies to Ministers and Workers. “Health Research Edition” p.122. {PH084 2.1}

SERIES A: {SpTA09 p.55.2} “ALL that refused to be taught of God, hold the TRADITIONS of men. THEY AT LAST pass over on the side of the ENEMY, against God, and are written: “ANTICHRIST” …Find in “ANTICHRIST” the center of their UNION. While the TWO PARTIES stand in COLLISION, the Lord will appear…”

     "The truth for this time, the third angel's message, is to be proclaimed with a loud voice as we approach the great final testThis test must come to the churches in connection with true medical missionary work." We are told that in time of trouble "there will be sick ones, plenty of them, that will need help" so because of the need, but also "for their own sake, they should, while they have opportunity, become intelligent in regard to disease, its causes, prevention and cure, and those who will do this will find a field of labor anywhere." C. H. 506.  {PH144 29.2}

“…as we approach the GREAT FINAL TEST. This TEST must come to the CHURCHES.. (What TEST?)

“We shall encounter false claims; false prophets will arise; there will be false dreams and false visions; but preach the Word, be not drawn away from the voice of God in His Word. Let nothing divert the mind. The wonderful, the marvelous, will be represented and presented. Through satanic delusions, wonderful miracles, (Like raising a person from the dead after they have suffered a heart attack? Giving them a triple bypass and giving them medication so that they can then continue to eat, drink and be merry?) the claims of human agents will be urged. Beware of all this.  {2SM 49.1}

     Christ has given warning, so that none need accept falsehood for truth. The only channel through which the Spirit operates is that of the truth. . . . Our faith and hope are founded, not in feeling, but in God.--Letter 12, 1894. {2SM 49.2}

True Medical missionary work is the opposite of “Cut, Burn and Poison” of the Spiritualism and witchcraft of Pharmakeia. “THIS TEST MUST COME TO THE CHURCHES…”

“God's Remedies.--There are MANY ways of practicing the healing art, but there is only one way that Heaven approves. God's remedies are the simple agencies of nature that will not tax or debilitate the system through their powerful properties. Pure air and water, cleanliness, a proper diet, purity of life, and a firm trust in God are remedies for the want of which thousands are dying; yet these remedies are going out of date because their skillful use requires work that the people do not appreciate. Fresh air, exercise, pure water, and clean, sweet premises are within the reach of all with but little expense; but drugs are expensive, both in the outlay of means and in the effect produced upon the system.--Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 443 (1885).  {2SM 287.3}

     Use the Simplest Remedies.--Nature will want some assistance to bring things to their proper condition, which may be found in the simplest remedies, especially in the use of nature's own furnished remedies--pure air, and with a precious knowledge of how to breathe; pure water, with a knowledge of how to apply it; plenty of sunlight in every room in the house if possible, and with an intelligent knowledge of what advantages are to be gained by its use. All these are powerful in their efficiency, and the patient who has obtained a knowledge of how to eat and dress healthfully, may live for comfort, for peace, for health; and will not be prevailed upon to put to his lips drugs, which, in the place of helping nature, paralyzes her powers. If the sick and suffering will do only as well as they know in regard to living out the principles of health reform perseveringly, then they will in nine cases out of ten recover from their ailments.--Medical Ministry, pp. 223, 224 (Manuscript 22, 1887).  {2SM 287.4}

Look again at the ORIGINAL 1884 Reference: “PROTESTANTISM will yet stretch HER (PROTESTANTISM) hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of SPIRITUALISM, SHE (PROTESTANTISM) will reach over the ABYSS to CLASP HANDS with the ROMAN POWER; and under the influence of this THREEFOLD UNION….” (Spiritualism is the snare)

Rev 18:23  And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy SORCERIES (SPIRITUALISM) were all nations deceived.

Rev 18:24  And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

SORCERIES: φαρμακεία pharmakeia far-mak-i'-ah

Are we passing the test?

Ellen White predicts: "This entire chapter (Revelation 13) is a revelation of what WILL [future tense] surely take place." 19MR 182.6 Manuscript Releases Volume Nineteen [Nos. 1360-1419], p. 182.6S.D.A. Bible Commentary Vol. 7, p. 979.10

in Revelation, before Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed, God warned His people about the coming destruction. He pointed them to the prophecies of Daniel and urged them to study and understand them. Those who listened to His counsel escaped with their lives, but those who did not perished. They suffered the consequences of their choice. God had pleaded long and it was only with aching heart that He gave them up.

Just as Pharaoh did not relent when the plagues fell, so the unrepentant will not cease in their endeavors to destroy God's people. The crisis will escalate until it climaxes in the death decree against those who refuse to honor the Antichrist. The promises of God are, however, sure:

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it will not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plagues come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways (Psalms 91:5-11).

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

"The prophecy which He uttered was twofold in its meaning; while foreshadowing the destruction of Jerusalem, it prefigured also the terrors of the last great day [beginning at His Sanctuary]." E.G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 25, 1911 edition.

"Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, vol. 5, 211.

As this struggle progresses, it may appear to human sight that Satan is triumphant and that truth is overborne with falsehood and error. In the country which has been an asylum for the conscience-oppressed servants of God and defenders of His truth, religious freedom may be placed in jeopardy, and the people over whom God has spread His shield, may meet suffering and trial. But God would have us recall His dealings with His people in the past, to save them from their enemies, and trust in Him. He has always chosen extremities, when there seemed no possible hope for deliverance from Satan's workings, for the display of His power. Man's necessity is God's opportunity.  {ST, November 28, 1900 par. 3}

God has children, many of them, in the Protestant churches, and a large number in the Catholic churches, who are more true to obey the light to the very best of their knowledge than a large number among Sabbathkeeping Adventists who do not walk in the light. The Lord will have the message of truth proclaimed, that Protestants may be warned and awakened to the true state of things and consider the worth of the privileges of religious freedom which they have long enjoyed.  {16MR 237.2}

A striking illustration of Rome's policy toward those who disagree with her was given in the long and bloody persecution of the Waldenses, some of whom were observers of the Sabbath. Others suffered in a similar manner for their fidelity to the fourth commandment. The history of the churches of Ethiopia and Abyssinia is especially significant. Amid the gloom of the Dark Ages, the Christians of Central Africa were lost sight of and forgotten by the world, and for many centuries they enjoyed freedom in the exercise of their faith. But at last Rome learned of their existence, and the emperor of Abyssinia was soon beguiled into an acknowledgment of the pope as the vicar of Christ. Other concessions followed. An edict was issued forbidding the observance of the Sabbath under the severest penalties. (See Michael Geddes, Church History of Ethiopia, pages 311, 312.) But papal tyranny soon became a yoke so galling that the Abyssinians determined to break it from their necks. After a terrible struggle the  Romanists were banished from their dominions, and the ancient faith was restored. The churches rejoiced in their freedom, and they never forgot the lesson they had learned concerning the deception, the fanaticism, and the despotic power of Rome. Within their solitary realm they were content to remain, unknown to the rest of Christendom.  Great Controversy, page  577.3

It required a desperate struggle for those who would be faithful to stand firm against the deceptions and abominations which were disguised in sacerdotal garments and introduced into the church. The Bible was not accepted as the standard of faith. The doctrine of religious freedom was termed heresy, and its upholders were hated and proscribed.  {GC 45.2}

We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude.  {9T 11.1}

Those who stand before the people as teachers of truth are to grapple with great themes. They are not to occupy precious time in talking of trivial subjects. Let them study the Word, and preach the Word. Let the Word be in their hands as a sharp, two-edged sword. Let it testify to past truths and show what is to be in the future are to shape our lives and that by us are to be proclaimed to the world. We are to keep abreast of the times, bearing a clear, intelligent testimony, guided by the unction of the Holy Spirit.—Manuscript 31, 1906. pp. 5, 6. Yet every mind through whom the Holy Spirit has worked has presented these themes in a light that is fresh and new. The truths of redemption are capable of constant development and expansionThough old, they are ever newconstantly revealing to the seeker for truth a greater glory and a mightier powerIn every age there is a new development of trutha message of God to the people of that generation. The old truths are all essential; new truth is not independent of the old, but an unfolding of it. It is only as the old truths are understood that we can comprehend the newWhen Christ desired to open to His disciples the truth of His resurrection, He began "at Moses and all the prophets" and "expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself." Luke 24:27. But it is the light which shines in the fresh unfolding of truth that glorifies the oldHe who rejects or neglects the new does not really possess the oldFor him it loses its vital power and becomes but a lifeless form. COL 127-128

The setting in Luke 21 is far different from that in Matthew or Mark. Luke’s review of one attack is in 17:22-37. The admonition of not going back for a coat if in the field or into the house if on the rooftop is missing in the Luke 21’s Jerusalem discourse.

  • Those illustrations were metaphors for urgency. Thus, the setting here is more
    “casual.”

  • The word “flee” (pheugetosan) is used in each place but implied differently. It is a different imperative flow of thought:

“Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto” (Luke 21:21).

  • It is invitational, almost pastoral, to entreat action when God’s people will be morally attacked – seek spiritual safety when that occurs.

We get insight for this eschatologic prophecy from its first historical application (not in Luke’s parameters).

  • “Not one Christian perished in the destruction of Jerusalem. Christ had given his disciples warning, and all who believed his words watched for the promised sign. ‘When ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies,’ said Jesus, ‘then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out.’ [Luke 21:20, 21.] After the Romans under Cestius [Gaius Cestius Gallus – Roman general who had been assigned to Syria A.D. 63-65 and came to squelch the Jewish revolt by Nero’s orders] had surrounded the city, they unexpectedly abandoned the siege when everything seemed favorable for an immediate attack. The besieged, despairing of successful resistance, were on the point of surrender, when the Roman general withdrew his forces, without the least apparent reason. But God's merciful providence was directing events for the good of his own people. The promised sign had been given to the waiting Christians, and now an opportunity was afforded for all who would to obey the Saviour's warning. Events were so overruled that neither Jews nor Romans should hinder the flight of the Christians. Upon the retreat of Cestius, the Jews, sallying fromJerusalem, pursued after his retiring army, and while both forces were thus fully engaged, the Christians had an opportunity to leave the city. At this time the country also had been cleared of enemies who might have endeavored to intercept them. At the time of the siege [66 A.D. – beginning of the three and a half year period], the Jews were assembled at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, and thus the Christians throughout the land were able to make their escape unmolested. Without delay they fled to a place of safety,–the city of Pella, in the land of Perea, beyond Jordan.”[10]

This was the onset of a three and a half year war against God’s people. It would have to end at Passover.

  • It was the symbolic end-time beginning of the 42 months of persecution noted elsewhere (Revelation 11:2, 13:4).

  • Pope Francis is GIVEN authority for 42 months starting March 19, 2013 when he was coronated King of the 7 hills/Vatican (SEE: Rev 13:5 42 months/3.5 years or 1,260 days) - that I believe where type meets anti-type. What has been will be fulfilled again...only literal time this time (literal days this time - March 19, 2013 until Sept 19, 2016 - second "Dark Ages" type meets anti-type/dual fulfillment, cut short by 25 days this time around, just like the first Dark Ages (538AD to 1798AD) were cut short by 25 years) this comes to Aug 5, 2016.

  • The seaports that have become like Sodom for wickedness are swallowed up by the angry waters.  the beginning of the 7th plague.

  • Also - I believe God's people go into the wilderness for 42 months/3.5 years/1,260 days which means "obscurity" or "little known to the Catholics" Spalding and Magan Collection, p. 1.5, "The saints then will be an obscure people, little known to the Catholics" ALSO means the offshoot 501c3 SDA organization headed by Ted Wilson (Jude 1:4) 34 years ago, SDA World President Neal C. Wilson plainly and boldly declared, "...There is another universal and truly catholic organization, the Seventh-day Adventist Church." (Review, March 5, 1981, page 3)

This was in turn echoing Daniel.

  • “And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be
    finished” (Daniel 12:7).

Notice that the end-time persecution is related to the world of non-Jews (Gentiles), just like Cestius (11:2) – civil powers.

  • Here, Luke notes the same with similar language:

“And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled” (Luke 21:24). The “time of the Gentiles” followed the gospel to the Jews, which ended in A.D. 33-34.

  • Christ called these “days of vengeance” (Luke 21:22) – persecution.

For the remnant – in the end-time application – God does not promise a total escape from this persecution or even martyrdom. But – He does give counsel on how to minimize its impact (by fleeing):

  • “Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto” (Luke 21:21).

  • At the onset of the three and a half years the Sunday laws will be a signal for God’s people to act to minimize hostilities! We know that from cross-reference to Daniel.

  • “The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places [that will apply to Matthew’s discourse]. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians [leaning now on Luke’s account], so the assumption of power on the part of our nation [the United States] in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains.”[11] (This latter will not occur until close to the end of the three and a half years.)

Here, expositor White notes that “fleeing” at the onset of the siege on God’s people was to get out of the cities. Her message there becomes progressive! But there is more.

Jesus said here that when armies would encompass Jerusalem, desolation would not be far away.

  • In Matthew 24:15 Jesus said that an abomination would lead to desolation.

  • He said that that was explained in Daniel.

  • There:

Chp. 8:     Place of God’s sanctuary is cast down (representing law, justice, righteousness) (12)

A specific sin related to this hostility leads to desolation and the sanctuary and God’s  “host” is trodden down (13) (persecution).

After 2300 years, the sanctuary where God resides is totally cleansed (14) (9:24).

Chp. 9:     Satan makes desolate God’s sanctuary (27) (apostate church) right up until the consummation because of his abomination.

Chp. 11:   A “king” “person” pollutes the sanctuary – military might on his part (31), by an abomination that leads to desolation.

Chp. 12:   An abomination makes desolation (12:11).

All these refer to the same sin/desolation!

There, the sin (transgression) that led to desolation is rebellion against the Sabbath (chapter 8). Later, in the rest of Daniel, Jesus called that transgression an “abomination.”

  • Combining Luke and Daniel, the armies surrounding Jerusalem represent:
Preparation  to use force against God's people to honor a false Sabbath.
        Everything is now in place.
There are Sunday laws, but they aren’t enforced.

That becomes a sign to God’s people to relocate – seek a place of spiritual security (symbolically, this is called a “wilderness” (i.e., where God can protect).

  • Cestius Gallus attacked in the fall of 66 A.D.

  • He retreated – and it appears that by 68 A.D. all of God’s remnant had escaped. The window of time was long.

Sunday laws will be like the armies surrounding Jerusalem with the intent to penetrate its boundaries. But the laws are not initially enforced.

  • Though there are possibilities for adverse encounters to occur – time to escape/relocate is clearly given.

  • As it was in the “Jerusalem surrounded” imagery, time to leave the cities will then be given. God will provide the opportunity to liquidate assets and relocate to a more secure place.

  • Finishing the work still lies ahead – thus it won’t be a time for
    isolation.

  • This is a key to understand this prophecy.

We know Luke’s narrative relates to the end of time because:

  • Those “days” relate to when “all things which are written may be fulfilled” (Luke 21:22) – Written where? Daniel.

    And

  • “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).

  • When the collective events that Christ presented begin to trend upward – the end is upon us.

What does Luke mean by:

  • If in Judea – flee to the “mountains”?

  • If in Jerusalem – depart to a safe place?

  • If in the country – don’t go into the city?

(We’ll look at these more when we move into Matthew’s account.)

  • For now, the context is – “move to a more secure place spiritually.” Don’t expose yourself unnecessarily to danger.

Again, we know these things because they represent the beginning of the final three and a half years that E. G. White applied this to also!

What does “mountains” mean?

Historically, some Jews did flee to the mountains. Eusebius (H.E. iii,5,3) says that the Christians actually fled to Pella at the foot of the mountains about seventeen miles south of the Sea of Galilee. They remembered the warning of Jesus and fled for safety.[9] Is this the response to each threat from that apostate Roman church?

  • Symbolically, mountains represent God’s power (Psalm 121:1-2), where God dwells (Mt. Zion) (Psalm 2:6, 135:21; Isaiah 8:18; Joel 3:21), where God’s people will go for security and worship (Revelation 14:1).

  • “It shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Isaiah 2:2-4).

  • Symbolically, the setting for these prophecies – the escape to the mountain – means to flee from Babylon (apostasy) to a place where spiritual safety lies (Lord’s house on top of the mountains).

  • We will see shortly, expositor White ties the message to “flee” initially to getting out of the big cities. Spiritually, that becomes a time when we must flee to the “mount of God,” the “stronghold of the Lord.”

Persecution Leads to Unity Among God’s People

When the storm of persecution really breaks upon us, the true sheep will hear the true Shepherd’s voice. Self-denying efforts will be put forth to save the lost, and many who have strayed from the fold will come back to follow the great Shepherd. The people of God will draw together and present to the enemy a united front. In view of the common peril strife for supremacy will cease, there will be no disputing as to who shall be accounted greatest.—Testimonies for the Church 6:401 (1900).

When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold unionour country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is nearTestimonies for the Church Volume 5, p. 451.1.

The following list of countries have disconnected themselves from God's blessing and will soon be executing/BEHEADING God's people who obey His 10 laws just like FRANCE did in the Dark Ages:

“Many of the wicked were greatly enraged as they suffered the effects of the plagues. It was a scene of fearful agony. Parents were bitterly reproaching their children, and children their parents, brothers their sisters, and sisters their brothers. Loud, wailing cries were heard in every direction, ‘It was you who kept me from receiving the truth which would have saved me from this awful hour.’ The people turned upon their ministers with bitter hate and reproached them, saying, ‘You have not warned us. You told us that all the world was to be converted, and cried, Peace, peace, to quiet every fear that was aroused. You have not told us of this hour; and those who warned us of it you declared to be fanatics and evil men, who would ruin us.’ But I saw that the ministers did not escape the wrath of God. Their suffering was tenfold greater than that of their people.” {EW 282.1}

Situated south of Peru and west of Bolivia and Argentina, Chile fills a narrow 2,880-mi (4,506 km) strip between the Andes and the Pacific. One-third of Chile is covered by the towering ranges of the Andes.

Chile is a long, (nearly 3,000 mile long!) narrow country fringing the southwestern edge of South America, between the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Andes Mountains to the east.

"Get ready, get ready, get ready.' . . . now time is almost finished. . . and what we have been years learning, THEY WILL HAVE TO LEARN IN A FEW MONTHS." (Early Writings, pp. 64-67)

As I was praying this morning, I was impressed to email all included in this email -  and ask if you and yours would like to band together with me and my girls and flee to another country. I see such a huge urgency to GET OUT of the United States as QUICKLY as possible. That we should not delay one moment.

"Jesus declared to the listening disciples the judgments that were to fall upon apostate Israel...And the Saviour warned His followers: `When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoso readeth let him understand) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains.'...When the warning sign should be seen, judgment was to follow so quickly that those who would escape must make no delay....They must not hesitate a moment, lest they be involved in the general destruction." Spirit of Prophecy, vol 4, p 26-27.

"I saw the saints leaving the cities and villages, and associating together in companiesand living in the most solitary placesAngels provided them food and water, while the wicked were suffering from hunger and thirst" {Mar 270.3}.

"The time is soon coming when God’s people, because of persecution, will be scattered in many countries. Those who have received an all-round education will have the advantage where they are.—Manuscript Releases 5:280 (1908); Last Day Events, p. 152.1.

"During the night a very impressive scene passed before me. There seemed to be great confusion and the conflict of armies. A messenger from the Lord stood before me, and said, "Call your householdI will lead youfollow me." He led me down a dark passage, through a forest, then through the clefts of (THE ANDES in Chile/Argentina???) mountains, and said, "Here you are safe." There were others who had been led to this retreat. The heavenly messenger said. "The time of trouble has come as a thief in the night, as the Lord warned you it would come" {Mar 270.4}. THE WINE DISTRICT IS THE CENTRAL VALLEY = YE ARE THE BRANCHES, I AM THE VINE, MY FATHER IS THE HUSBANDMAN.

The Central Valley of Chile (Spanish:Valle Central) spans the O'Higgins Region (VI) and Maule Region (VII) Administrative Regions and the Administrative Metropolitan Region, and is the main growing zone for Chilean wine and coincides with the historical core of the Chilean Central Valley.

Santiago Metropolitan Region

Santiago Metropolitan Region or simply Metropolitan Region(SpanishRegión Metropolitana de Santiago) is one of Chile's 15 first-order administrative divisions.

It is the country's
only landlocked administrative region and contains the nation's capital, Santiago. Most commercial and administrative centers are located in the region, including Chile's main international airport, Arturo Merino Benítez.

With an area of 15,403.2 km2 (5,947 sq mi) and population over 6 million, it is Chile's smallest by area, most populated and most densely populated region. It is also the country's only region that does not have a Roman numeral identifier.

Central Chile, where most of the country's population is concentrated, has a pleasant Mediterranean climate, with well-differentiated seasons; its winters are mild, and its summers are warm and dry.

God is making HIS BEST WINE from the END TIME PEOPLE WHO OBEY HIM AND KNOW HIM AND HIS SON! Like the water Christ turned into wine in His first miracle...Why did you save the BEST WINE for LAST? The people MOST LIKE CHRIST, in His IMAGE, His character - Christ MAKES them Holy and Perfect by a complete surrender to Christ of all they have - their mind, body and soul, properties, children, family, all assets! Nothing is our own - we are completely vessels/bodies for the Spirit of Christ!

"And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light." Zechariah 14:5,6:

"Chile is divided into three general topographic regions: the lofty Andean cordillera on the east; the low coastal mountains of the west; and the fertile central valley between. The Andes, occupying from one-third to the entire width of the country, stretch from the Puna de Atacama in the north, a high plateau with peaks averaging 4,600 m (15,000 ft), to middle Chile, where, on the border with Argentina, rises the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere, Aconcagua (6,960 m/22,834 ft), and then, diminishing in height, run south into the Chilean lake country, with its snowcapped volcanoes and several passes." http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Chile.aspx

Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in His Ways, and to fear (reverence) Him. For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of Water, of Fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills . . .’ Deuteronomy 8:1-7

The Lapis Lazuli are BLUE - like the stone the Ten Commandments were carved on - Fringes of blue sewn (Numbers 15:38 "Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:") into the garments of the Israelites to remind them to obey the Ten Commandments - lapis for short, is a deep blue semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense color. Between the huge Andes Mountains (to the east) and the lower Coastal mountains (to the west) is the great Central Valley, which extends from Salamanca, north of Santiago, for over 620 miles (1,000 kilometers) south to Puerto Montt. The country has a total area of 292,260 square miles (756,950 square kilometers).

The arable or cental portion of Chile consists of three dominant topographrical features: the Andes Mountains on the east, a coastal range on the west, and a central valley lying between. Roughly 40 percent of central Chile is covered by the towering Andes. The central valley is irregular in width, averaging about 40 miles across, and extending from Santiago in the north to Puerto montt in the south. It is not an unbroken, alluvial surface as is the central valley of California which it otherwise resembles. Rather, the northern half is partically compartmented by spurs extending westward from the Andes into a string of basins, each of which is drained by a river. The floor of the valley drops in elevation from an average of 2,300 feet at the northern extreme to sea level at Puerto Montt. Along the Bio Bio River, the valley floor slopes from 900 feet on the eastern edge of the valley to approximately 300 feet on the western side where it enters the coastal range. The Bio Bio has the greatest dischard of any river in Chile north of Puerto Montt, and is the only river along the entire Chilean coast which has cut a broad flat-floored valley through the coastal range.

The coastal range occupies roughly 25 to 35 percent of central Chile. It consists essentially of a deeply dissected plateau whose upper surface dips gradually toward the south, and whose maximum elevation in the vicinity of Concepcion is about 2,000 feet. The coastal range almost everywhere along central Chile rises abruptly from the ocean except in the delta region of the Bio Bio near Conception. There, the range is interrupted by the valley and reappears to the southas the penisula of Lebu.

The bread in the coastal range formed by the Bio Bio River and the partically enclosed Concepcion and San Vicente bays provides the most favorable natural harbors along the coast of central Chile and constitues the physical bases for the important gateway position of the region.

Except for the limited coastal lowlands and the valley of the Bio Bio River and the partially enclosed Concepcion Province consists of hilly terrain which tends to discourage agriculture, transportation, and other forms of economic activity. The hills of the coastal range have been heavily eroded over the past 300 years, and agriculture is restricted largely to small patches of alluvial bottom land where limited vegetable and fruit crops are grown and some grazing is carried on. All but a small fraction of the land in the Providence is privately owned. Source here.

Lake District - Chilean Patagonia

Chile's geographical shape is quite peculiar. Chile has a longitude of 2,650 miles (4,265 kilometers) making of it one of the longest countries in the world. This is in dramatic contrast with the country's average width, which does not exceed 221 miles (356 kilometers). In some places Chile is so

Chile
narrow that the Andes peaks of its eastern border can be seen from the Pacific coastline.

Its length explains the great variety of climates and regions one can find from north to south. While the northern region is extremely dry (including the great Atacama Desert and numerous places where no rain has ever been recorded), the central region is a fertile area with a mild climate. The southern region by contrast is chilly and rainy, having icy fjords and glaciers at the southernmost tip.

The capital city, Santiago, is located in the central region and constitutes the political, cultural, and economic center of the country, and the homeland of the historically dominant Central Valley culture. Chile is administratively divided in twelve regions (subdivided in thirty-one provinces) and a metropolitan region that includes the capital city.

Demography. Chile has a population of 15,017,800 inhabitants (from a June 1999 estimate) with an annual growth rate of 1.8 percent. The national population density is 46.5 persons per square mile. Almost six million people live in the metropolitan region of Santiago, while the northern and southern regions are sparsely populated. Most Chileans (84 percent) reside in urban areas, while the rest live in an increasingly urbanized rural environment. As of 1997, life expectancy at birth was seventy-two years for males and seventy-eight years for females, while the infant mortality rate was ten per thousand live births.

The majority of Chileans (65 percent) are of mixed European-indigenous descent ("mestizos," though this term is not in use in Chile). Some 25 percent of Chileans are of European ancestry (mainly from Spanish, German, Italian, British, Croatian, and French origins, or combinations there of). Chile also has a large Palestinian community (some 300,000 persons, the largest outside Palestine). The indigenous population represents some 7 percent of the population. There are about 500,000 Mapuche Indians in Chile, constituting the country's largest Native American population. Since the late 1980s, the country's economic prosperity and sociopolitical stability have attracted an increasing number of immigrants from Korea and from other Latin American countries (largely from Peru, Argentina, and Cuba).

Linguistic Affiliation. The official language of Chile is Spanish ( castellano as Chileans call it), which is spoken by practically all the country's inhabitants. In the northern region some twenty thousand indigenous people also speak Aymará, while most of Chile's Mapuche population speak or at least understand their ancestral language, Mapudungu. In Eastern Island the two thousand native inhabitants speak their own language of Polynesian origin. Chileans of foreign ancestry do sometime also speak their mother tongue but do so almost exclusively in the intimacy of their home.

One of the most spectacular expressions of the existing cultural homogeneity is the relative absence of recognizable regional accents, despite the country's extreme geographic length. For instance, the differences in accent between middle-class Chileans from Antofagasta, Santiago, Valdivia, and Punta Arenas are almost inaudible. The national coverage of many Santiago-based radio and television stations also helps to homogenize Chilean Spanish. In contrast, there are in Chile very sharp accent distinctions among the different social classes.

Chilean Spanish is quite characteristic and is immediately identified in other Latin American countries for its distinctive "melody." Chileans generally speak very fast and terminal consonants are often not even spoken. They also often add the suffix –"ito" or –"ita" (meaning "little") to the end of words. In addition, Chilean speech contains many words adopted from the Mapuche language as well as much chilenismos (Chilean slang).

We are to flee to the mountains even as Lot was told to flee to the mountain when God was ready to bring judgment on Sodom (Genesis 19:17). The mountain or mountains are a reference to God being our help (Psalm 121:1, Psalm 125:1).

THE ANDES!? Chile!? The Central part of Chile?

"Call your householdI will lead youfollow me." He led me down a dark passage, through a forest, then through the clefts of (THE VALLEY Between the mountains - the central valley between the North and the South - The ANDES in Chile/Argentina???) mountains, and said, "Here you are safe." 7 RIVERS AND WATERFALLS

Because most of Chile's rivers flow across the narrow country in a westward direction—down the Andes and into the Pacific—they are short. Nevertheless, their steep path down the mountainsides makes them a good source for hydroelectric power. There are around thirty rivers, including the Loa, Aconcagua, Huasco, Coquimbo, Limari, Mapocho, Maule, Maipo, Bío-Bío, Copiapó, and Toltén. The longest is the Loa River in the north. "Souls that were scattered all through the religious bodies answered to the call, and the precious were hurried out of the doomed churches, as Lot was hurried out of Sodom before her destruction. God's people were strengthened by the excellent glory (character) which rested upon them in rich abundance and prepared them to endure the hour of temptation. I heard everywhere a multitude of voices saying, 'Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.' "Early Writings, pp. 277-279.

"Servants of God, with their faces lighted up and shining with holy consecration, will hasten from place to place to proclaim the message from heaven. By thousands of voices, all over the earth, the warning will be given. Miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, and signs and wonders will follow the believers .... Thus the inhabitants of the earth will be brought to take their stand." (GC 612)

  • "I heard voices which seemed to sound everywhereCome out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues; for her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." --{See Revelation 14:12, Revelation 18, Joel 2:9-11; The Great Controversy Chapter 34,  The Story of Redemption, p. 399.3 }
Come OUT of all the churches and "Come unto ME" is the plea of our Shepard Jesus.

The Andes are to the east side of Chile. The whole country of Chile is not very wide, only about 100 miles wide - you can go from the beach to the mountains in less than 2.5 hours. The whole country of Chile is VERY long - 2,670 mi) north to south. A long and narrow coastal Southern Cone country on the west side of the Andes Mountains, Chile stretches over 4,300 km (2,670 mi) north to south, but only 350 km (217 mi) at its widest point east to west. The Andes Mountains have a very high snow line in Peru and northern Chile reaching an altitude of over 19,000 feet. The Andes Mountains are the longest stretch of mountains in the world. They stretch for 4,500 miles on the west coast (EAST side of Chile) of South America. It is one of the highest mountain ranges in the world. The peek called Anconcagua in Argentina is 22,834 feet high. The Andes Mountains, even though they are very tall, do not compare with the Himalayas, which are still more rugged and taller.

The Andes mountain climate is one of the most interesting climates in the world, because it changes drastically throughout the region.

Emigration of Chileans[edit]

Emigration of Chileans has decreased during the last decade: It is estimated that 857,781 Chileans live abroad, 50.1% of those being in Argentina [on the other west side of the Andes mountains from Chile] (the highest number), 13.3% in the United States, 8.8% in Brazil, 4.9% in Sweden, and around 2% in Australia, with the rest being scattered in smaller numbers across the globe. Other Chilean refugees settled (not ranked by order of size) in Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany and Italy.

Andes Mountain Climate
Highland Climate (H)

The Andes mountain climate is one of the most interesting climates in the world, because it changes drastically throughout the region. For instance, in Ecuador there are some tropical rainforests and just a couple of miles away is Cotopaxie, a frosted peek. Another thing about the Andes Mountain climate is that the temperature changes drastically when you move to a neighboring country, such as from Colombia to Ecuador. In Colombia it rains often, but in Ecuador it is usually dry. The climate is split up in many different zones. Tierra caliente is the hot land, where jungles, fruit and crocodiles grow and live, but paramo (wasteland) is a hardy place where the only things that can survive are lichens and mosses.

The Andes Mountains have a very high snow line in Peru and northern Chile reaching an altitude of over 19,000 feet. The Andes Mountains are the longest stretch of mountains in the world. They stretch for 4,500 miles on the west coast of South America. It is one of the highest mountain ranges in the world. The peek called Anconcagua in Argentina is 22,834 feet high. The Andes Mountains, even though they are very tall, do not compare with the Himalayas, which are still more rugged and taller.

The Köppen climate classification system is a way of showing on a map where certain climates are found. Vladimir Köppen devised it in 1918. The climates, precipitation and temperature classify it month by month. The Köppen system represents each climate by one or more letters. For instance, in Af the A stands for heat and precipitation, and f stands for precipitation in all months, which is the climate zone for rainforests. H stands for highland, or mountain climates.

The following classifications are the classifications for the biomes at the base and around the Andes Mountains. As you go up the mountains the temperature goes down. The classification surrounding the Andes Mountains starting with Colombia is Af, which equals tropical rainforest climates. This is where you find the "cloud forests" of the Andes. Moist, warm air meets cold mountain air which creates mists or clouds most of the year. In Ecuador the classification is Aw which is Tropical climates and has its dry season in winter. The Andes experience a summer and winter season here. In Peru the classification is also Aw and that is tropical climates and desert climates. High altitude plains are found here. In Bolivia the classification is Bwh. That is dry climates, with desert climates and dry and hot. Chile has two classifications, which are Csb and Cfb. Csb is warm temperatures, dry season is in summer and warmest month is 71.6ºF. Cfb is Warm temperatures, precipitation in all months and warmest month is 71.6ºF. Argentina is Bwk. That means dry climates, dry season in winter and dry and cold. All of the Andes Mountains are classified as H.

The temperatures of the biomes around the Andes Mountains vary from place to place. In Colombia it is wet and warm, with an average temperature of 64°F. In Ecuador it is very warm in the deserts and the average is 68°F and stays that temperature through out Peru, until you get to Bolivia. In Bolivia you would find that it is dry and hot with an average of 64°F. Then you would find the last and largest country that is home to the Andes Mountains, Chile. Chile is split up into two different temperature regions; the northern part of Chile has an average of 64°F, and the southern part has an average of 71°F. In winter the temperatures usually averages about less than 52°F. In the summer it usually averages 68°F. These temperatures are mainly from biomes around and in the Andes Mountains.

The precipitation of the Andes Mountain climate changes but not drastically between two places. In Colombia there is a lot of rainfall all year round. In Ecuador there is the desert climate without much rainfall. Peru is simalar to Ecuador. In Chile there are two different climates but in both there is a sufficient rainfall all year round. The rain fall in the summer averages less than 8 in. In the winter it averages less than 4 in. These numbers are from biomes in and around the Andes Mountains.

The Andes Mountain climate extends from at latitude 10°North latitude to 50° South and longitude 65° to 80° West.

6 INLAND LAKES

There is a picturesque district of lakes, hills, and waterfalls at the eastern edge of the Central Valley, between Concepción and Puerto Montt. In the southern part of this district lies Lake Llanquihue, the country's largest lake, and the third-largest natural lake in South America. It has a maximum length of 35 kilometers (22 miles), a maximum width of 40 kilometers (25 miles), and maximum depths of 1,500 meters (5,000 feet).

There are around thirty rivers, including the Loa, Aconcagua, Huasco, Coquimbo, Limari, Mapocho, Maule, Maipo, Bío-Bío, Copiapó, and Toltén. The longest is the Loa River in the north.

An 8.8 earthquake in Chile in February of 2010 moved the entire city of Concepción.

Chile is a country of startling contrasts and extreme beauty, with attractions ranging from the towering volcanic peaks of the Andes to the ancient forests of the Lake District. There are a multitude of very good parks here, and plenty of opportunities for fine adventure travel. Chile is justly famous as the location of Torres del Paine, considered by many to be the finest nature travel destinations in all of South America.

Location, Geography Climate
For anyone who has ever been fascinated by geography, the long, impossibly thin line of Chile has always produced a tiny moment of astonishment. Chile stretches over 4,300 km (2,700 mi) along the southwestern coast of South America, a distance roughly the same as that from San Francisco to New York, or Edinburgh to Baghdad. At the same time, its width never exceeds 240 km (150 mi), making the country more than eighteen times longer than its widest point.

The most obvious factor in Chile's remarkable slenderness is the massive, virtually impassable wall of the Andes, a mountain range that is still rising and that contains more than fifty active volcanic peaks. The western border is of course the Pacific Ocean, but it is a misconception to picture Chile as nothing more than the steep western slope of the Andean peaks. All along its length Chile is marked by a narrow depression between the mountains and the sea. To the north the land rises and becomes more arid, until one reaches the forbidding Atacama Desert, one of the most inhospitable regions on earth.  To the south just the opposite transformation takes place: the land falls away, and the region between mountains and ocean fades into the baffling archipelagic maze that terminates in Chilean Patagonia. Chile's southern extremity is marked by Cape Horn, a treacherous headland surrounded by almost continuously storm-tossed seas and passable only through the foggy stillness of the Strait of Magellan.

maipocanyon.jpg (23104 bytes)In the center of the country, however, is a long and expansive river valley, a five hundred mile corridor occupied in the north by vineyards and great farms and in the south by primeval forests and enchanting lakes. Santiago, the capital, anchors the northern and more prosperous section of the central valley. The lush Lake District to the south, however, is the homeland of Chile's indigenous peoples, the Araucanians.

Also part of Chile are two notable Pacific possessions-the Juan Fernandez Islands and the famous Easter Island, both of which are administered as national parks. The Juan Fernandez islands are located about 670 km off the Chilean coast, while Easter Island is situated 3700 km distant.

Chile's climate is as diverse as its geography. Aside from the obviously extreme climatic conditions of the Andes an the Atacama, however, the country enjoys a comfortable temperate climate. Source: http://www.geographia.com/chile/

Geography

Situated south of Peru and west of Bolivia and Argentina, Chile fills a narrow 2,880-mi (4,506 km) strip between the Andes and the Pacific. One-third of Chile is covered by the towering ranges of the Andes. In the north is the driest place on Earth, the Atacama Desert, and in the center is a 700-mile-long (1,127 km) thickly populated valley with most of Chile's arable land. At the southern tip of Chile's mainland is Punta Arenas, the southernmost city in the world, and beyond that lies the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego, an island divided between Chile and Argentina. The southernmost point of South America is Cape Horn, a 1,390-foot (424 m) rock on Horn Island in the Wollaston group, which belongs to Chile. Chile also claims sovereignty over 482,628 sq mi (1,250,000 sq km) of Antarctic territory; the Juan Fernández Islands, about 400 mi (644 km) west of the mainland; and Easter Island, about 2,000 mi (3,219 km) west. 1 LOCATION AND SIZE

Chile is a long, narrow country fringing the southwestern edge of South America, between the Map of ChilePacific Ocean to the west and the Andes Mountains to the east. It reaches to Cape Horn, the southernmost tip of the continent, and it touches the Atlantic Ocean at the Strait of Magellan. It also extends beyond the Strait of Magellan to include part of Tierra del Fuego, an archipelago that it shares with Argentina. The Andes Mountains span almost the full length of the country, which has an area of 756,950 square kilometers (292,260 square miles), or slightly less than the state of Montana. Measuring 4,270 kilometers (2,653 miles) between its northern and southern extremities, Chile has an average width of not much more than 161 kilometers (100 miles), making it the world's longest and narrowest country. Its 38-degree latitude span gives it an extremely varied climate and vegetation.

2 TERRITORIES AND DEPENDENCIES

Chile has several island dependencies in the Pacific Ocean, including Easter Island, which is situated more than 3,218 kilometers (2,000 miles) west of the mainland. The most remote possession of any Latin American country, Easter Island is volcanic land mass with an area of 117 kilometers (45 miles) and a subtropical climate. Chile's other island possessions are Sala y Gómez, San Felix, San Ambrosio, and the Juan Fernandez Islands. Like Easter Island, these islands are preserved as part of a national park. Chile is also one of several nations that claim land in Antarctica.

3 CLIMATE

Due to its great length, Chile covers a wide range of latitudes, so its climate varies considerably. Temperatures steadily cool as the country extends southward, away from the equator and toward Antarctica. The mean temperature at Arica, in the far north, is 18°C (64°F), while that of Santiago, in the center of the country, is 14°C (57°F), and Punta Arenas in the extreme south averages 6°C (43°F). Winter temperatures are moderated by winds off the Pacific Ocean, and sea winds also temper the heat in summer.

Central Chile, where most of the country's population is concentrated, has a pleasant Mediterranean climate, with well-differentiated seasons; its winters are mild, and its summers are warm and dry.

  • Núcleo Central (Central Nucleus): Libertador, Maule, Santiago, Valparaíso.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_Chile

The southern part of the country is subject to frequent storms.

While average temperatures in Chile steadily drop with increasing southerly latitude, the amount of rainfall gradually rises. It ranges from virtually no precipitation north of 27°S latitude to around 406 centimeters (160 inches) annually at 48°S latitude (the heaviest precipitation in any region outside the tropics). Between these extremes are Copiapó at 3 centimeters (1 inch), Santiago at 33 centimeters (13 inches), and Puerto Montt at 185 centimeters (73 inches). In the far south, precipitation once again decreases, to 46 centimeters (18 inches) at Punta Arenas. Snow and sleet are common in the southern third of the country. The coastal archipelagos are among the world's rainiest regions.

4 TOPOGRAPHIC REGIONS

Chile is commonly divided into regions by latitude from north to south. Major regions are: the Norte Grande (a desert); the Norte Chico (a semiarid region characterized by very little annual rainfall, usually from 10 to 20 inches(25 to 50 cm):the struggle to raise vegetables in semiarid regions.); the Central Valley (a temperate heartland); the south-central region (a dense rain forest and the picturesque Lake District); and the southern region (a cold and windswept landscape). The coastline of the southern region includes thousands of islands, extending down to Cape Horn.

5 OCEANS AND SEAS

Chile borders the South Pacific Ocean, and the curved southernmost portion of its coast reaches to the Atlantic Ocean at the Strait of Magellan. The Humboldt Current, an ocean current flowing northward from Antarctica, chills the waters of the Pacific off the Chilean coast.

Seacoast and Undersea Features

Chile's offshore islands consist of submerged mountaintops that are a continuation of the Andes Mountains.

Sea Inlets and Straits

At the southern tip of the country, the Strait of Magellan lies between Tierra del Fuego and the rest of Chile, providing Chile with an opening to the Atlantic Ocean. Numerous other inlets separate the islands of Chile's southern coast, including the Gulf of Corcovado, the Gulf of Penas, and the Nelson Strait.

Islands and Archipelagos

The southern third of the Chilean coast consists of an extensive series of islands and archipelagos stretching for some 1,130 kilometers (700 miles). Separated by thin channels and fjords, they form a long chain from Chiloé Island slightly south of Puerto Montt to Tierra del Fuego. Cape Horn, located on an island to the south of Tierra del Fuego, is the southernmost point in South America.

Coastal Features

There are few beaches and natural harbors along Chile's long, narrow coast. In the north, the coastal mountains rise close to the shoreline in steep cliffs; however, rocky outcroppings do provide good protection from the sea at the harbors of Valparaíso and Talcahuano. The Brunswick Peninsula, separated from Tierra del Fuego by the Strait of Magellan, is the southernmost point on mainland South America.

7 RIVERS AND WATERFALLS

Because most of Chile's rivers flow across the narrow country in a westward direction—down the Andes and into the Pacific—they are short. Nevertheless, their steep path down the mountainsides makes them a good source for hydroelectric power. There are around thirty rivers, including the Loa, Aconcagua, Huasco, Coquimbo, Limari, Mapocho, Maule, Maipo, Bío-Bío, Copiapó, and Toltén. The longest is the Loa River in the north.

8 DESERTS

The Atacama Desert, which extends from the northern border to the Aconcagua River, consists largely of dry river basins and salt flats, with a few rivers and oases. It is both the warmest and driest part of the country, and is said to be the world's driest desert. The region immediately to the south of the Atacama Desert is semiarid.

9 FLAT AND ROLLING TERRAIN

Chile has no notable flat or rolling terrain.

10 MOUNTAINS AND VOLCANOES

The Andes Mountains reach their greatest elevations in Chile, where they span nearly the entire length of the country, starting with the peaks of the Atacama Desert in the north. The Andes chain forms most of Chile's border with Argentina to the east. The crests of the Andean range are higher in the northern half of the country. In this northern sector is Ojos del Salado, Chile's loftiest peak, and—at more than 6,857 meters (22,500 feet)—the second-highest point in the Western Hemisphere. Chile's tallest volcano, Guallatiri (6,060 meters/19,882 feet) lies in the far north, near the borders with Bolivia and Peru. A little to the south, near the borders with Bolivia and Argentina, lies Lascar (5,990/19,652), another volcano.

South of Santiago, the peaks of the Andes become progressively lower. In the far south, the Andes continue to decline in elevation, merging into the lowlands of Chilean Patagonia on both sides of the Strait of Magellan. The mountain system makes a final appearance at Cape Horn, which is also the crest of a submerged mountain.

By contrast, the peaks and plateaus of the coastal mountain range in the west are lower than those of the Andes, with elevations ranging from 300 to 2,100 meters (1,000 to 7,000 feet) in the northern half of the country. The system declines in elevation south of Valparaíso and plunges into the sea in the far south. Its peaks reappear as the islands of the southern archipelagos.

11 CANYONS AND CAVES

The Cueva del Milodon (Cave of the Milodon) National Park features a 30-meter-deep (100-foot-deep) cave. The milodon is a mythical prehistoric animal believed to have been a plant-eating mammal that was twice the size of a human. The caves in the park also house remnants of human settlements. Archaeologists believe ancient humans lived in these caves thousands of years ago.

12 PLATEAUS AND MONOLITHS

In northern Chile, there are dry, barren plateau basins at elevations of 610 to 1,219 meters (2,000 to 4,000 feet) between the eastern and western mountain ranges. In the north-central part of the country, much of this plateau land gives way to spurs of the Andes, with fertile valleys in between.

13 MAN-MADE FEATURES

Chile has no significant man-made features affecting its geography.

DID YOU KNOW?

Chile has experienced many earthquakes throughout history, including the worst earthquake ever to occur anywhere on Earth since 1960, as measured by the U.S. Geological Service. This earthquake, centered just off the Chilean coast on May 22, 1960, registered 8.6 on the Richter scale. On July 30, 1995, an earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale struck near the northern coast of Chile, causing three deaths and leaving hundreds of people homeless.

From Greenville to Santiago: Why I Left the United States for Chile

April 1, 2013 by
Should You Do It Too?

On May 31 to June 1, 2012, I moved from Greenville, South Carolina, to Santiago, Chile. My belongings, loaded onto a container a few days before, were already on their way.

I’d left a part-time teaching position as an adjunct at a public university. The job was as stable as such jobs ever are, with at least three courses per semester for very low pay. I’d asked for a salary increase since I’d been there seven years, and was turned down. I chose to walk away.Map of Chile

“Why did you do it?” is a common question I receive—and “Why Chile?”

Unlike the United States and Europe, Chile is not in decline. The economy here is stronger than almost anywhere in the northern hemisphere. Construction projects abound in Santiago. The cost of living is lower than any city of comparable size in the United States. The Pacific-coastal climate is ideal. Scenery around the country is unparalleled....

Given that Chile is a long, narrow country with over 3,000 miles (4,800 kilometres) of coastline, separated from the rest of South America by the Andes, you can be on the ocean, drive for perhaps two and a half hours, and be in the mountains!

South America

Torres del Paine ChileSouth America is awesome: majestic, snow-capped peaks in the Andes mountains, lush and impenetrable jungles in the north, sweeping desert plains on the west, the Atacama Desert, acknowledged as the driest desert on the planet, its sands hiding archaeological treasures and one of the richest copper mines in the world. The Patagonian steppe with its, fjords, channels, lakes and glaciers, one of the few places left on earth where pioneers and legends still coexist within a surreal landscape, at the end of the world.

Experience history as glorious temples and ruined, jungle covered lost cities appear in front of your eyes. Walk in the rainforest to admire the splendid orchids and bromeliads and listen to the “chant of nature”. Explore the South Pole, which can be visited for a few weeks during the summer months or Easter Island, lost in the immense pacific Ocean. Revel in the sophistication of cities like Rio de Janeiro, Santiago and Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America.

Chile is a popular South American country to visit thanks to its year-round mild or warm weather and attractions like its volcanic caves, surfing opportunities and mountain hiking trails. While the weather can get chilly in Chile during the middle of the year, temperatures do not typically drop below freezing.

Average High Temperatures

Four months in Chile have average high temperatures of greater than 80 degrees F. The warmest month of the year is January, which features an average high temperature of 86 degrees. December, February and March also all have average high temperatures of greater than 80 degrees. The months that are considered the warmest months in North America are the coolest months in Chile. The coolest average high temperature in Chile occurs in June, when the average high temperature drops to 57 degrees.

Chile features cooler temperatures in the middle of the year.

Average Low Temperatures

June, July and August are Chile's coldest months. The average low temperature in Chile in July is 37 degrees. The average low temperature for the two surrounding months--August and June is 39 degrees. Even during the months that have warm high temperatures, the evenings still get chilly. For example, the average low temperature in January is 54 degrees--a full 32 degrees cooler than the average high for the month.

Sunlight Hours

The months in the middle of the year have much less sunlight hours during the day than the months at the beginning and ending of the year. Visitors who come to Chile in December and January have the most sunlight hours in which they can recreate. Each month averages 10.4 hours of sunlight per day. June has the smallest amount of sunlight, with an average of 3.0 hours of sunlight per day during the month.

Precipitation

Chile does not receive a lot of precipitation; however, those who visit the country in the months of June and July are most likely to see rain. Chile averages 3.3 inches of rain in June and 3.0 inches in July. Rain is almost non-existent during much of the year in Chile. November, December, January, February and March all receive an average of less than 0.2 inches of precipitation.

Frost

The months from November through March average no days with frost, however there is frost on approximately a third of the days in June, July and August. July averages the largest amount of frost days with 11. Both June and August average nine days during which frost occurs. In all, Chile sees frost only about 45 days of the year. Puerto Montt is one of the rainiest cities in Chile and is located in the Lake District. The Lake District is south of Santiago, but north of Punta Arenas.

Chile is a country in the west of South America that has activities for travelers of all types. Santiago, the capital of Chile is a popular destination for travelers as is the Patagonia region. This Chile packing list contains a list of recommended items to take on your trip to Chile.

Climate In Chile:

The climate of an area plays a huge part in determining what you should pack.

Due to the vast length of the country, Chile’s climate ranges from very hot to very cold. Chile is in the southern hemisphere and in the summer (1 December to 28 February), Santiago, Chile can reach temperatures in the high 80s°F. On the other hand, cities in the southern tip of Chile such as Punta Arenas can go below freezing during the winter. (not good for growing vegetables or eating Avocados etc)

Chile uses 220-volt outlets, while the voltage is 120 in the US. Some chargers, such as laptop chargers support 220-volt outlets, however you should purchase a voltage converter to prevent your chargers from burning or frying. (check them out here: http://www.thetravelgearreviews.com/chile-packing-list)

I’ve included some charts that depict the climates of several major cities in Chile:

Chile tops the list of 10 Countries With The Worst Income Inequality

1. Chile: 0.501

Edited Chile

Oxfam recently hit headlines with their report that the combined wealth of the 85 richest people in the world was equal to more than the wealth of the bottom 50% of people worldwide – that’s just 85 people with more wealth than the poorest 3.5 billion people in the world. This stunning figure has thrown the issue of income inequality into the limelight, and to the forefront of economic debate. An examination of the way in which wealth is distributed in a country gives a valuable insight into the state of the economy and the well-being of the nation’s majority. Income inequality is quantified via the Gini coefficient – where 0 is a state of absolute equality, when everyone holds the same amount of wealth, and 1 is absolute inequality, when 1 person holds all the wealth. Every country will fall between these two extremes; and some well-developed countries are (perhaps surprisingly) far from the 0 mark.

What happens when a country has high income inequality? If the division of wealth sees a small group of people holding the majority of a nation’s capital, the balance of power is skewed; the lower and middle classes have access to less capital, fewer resources and – consequently – a low chance of breaking out of the cycle of poverty. While economists’ opinions vary on what constitutes optimal wealth distribution, many agree that the Gini index is one reliable indicator of the health and vitality of a county.

Which countries in the world today have the highest level of income inequality? We’ve had a look at the Gini coefficient after taxes and transfers (pensions, government programs and other equalizers) are taken into consideration, providing rankings which look at the real spending power of the people. Specifically, our rankings come from data collected from countries that are part of the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development). At the beginning of this decade, the OECD released a report stating that income inequality was at its highest level in over 50 years, and these figures demonstrate that level of high inequality – even in some of the world’s most well-developed, wealthiest countries. It’s worth noting, however, that African countries are not members of the OECD and these are some of the countries with the most extreme income inequality in the world, with parts of the continent reportedly holding a Gini coefficient of up to 0.7.  But of the OECD countries, these 10 are the nations with the most marked inequality of wealth distribution.

With a Gini coefficient of 0.501, Chile tops our list of countries with the most serious problem of inequality. Several factors contribute to this problem, including issues with higher education. While this has improved in recent years – many more Chileans are getting a college degree than before – most of those who land graduate jobs come from the richest schools in the country. Many of the poor go to cheaper colleges, hoping that they’ll still have the same opportunities as other graduates – only to leave college with mounting student loan debt and jobs that pay scarcely enough to cover those debts. There are several bills on the table to help improve the education system, but many of them aren’t moving very fast due to wealthy universities lobbying against them. Education isn’t the only problem, though. In fact, many of the industries in Chile are run by oligopolies. Add to this corruption from the wealthy who cover up their income, and few restrictions on interest rates for credit cards, and you have a nation with one of the most unequal wealth distributions in the world. http://www.therichest.com/rich-list/poorest-list/10-countries-with-the-worst-income-inequality/?view=all

Nestled in a spectacular alpine river valley, in a rain-shadow micro- climate, between the temperate rainforest of Chile’s Andes and the arid steppe of Argentina, is Patagonia’s best kept trekking secret, the Futaleufu River Valley. Imagine trekking through a valley so spectacular that it looks like a visual blend of Glacier and Yosemite National parks on steroids, plus a thundering turquoise river carving through it, glaciated peaks, and native forests with unusual looking trees. This is nature in its extreme. Swinging bridges cross the rivers. The occasional isolated road-less settlements offers a cultural glimpse of a time gone by. All this in a climate drier, less windy, and gentler than Torres de Paine National park, and with far fewer visitors. While it’s difficult to say which area of Chile is the best, it’s hard to deny that buying property in the regions just south of Santiago makes the most sense, either for a return on investment or for a place that you might want to someday call home.

It’s true that the southern ice fields in Patagonia or parts of the Atacama Desert in the north are probably more awe-inspiring than the central coastline and valley, but they’re not exactly ideal places to live. Those places have been popular among tourists for several years, but as more people are beginning to look at Chile as a place to live or at least to park some capital, the central regions have been attracting more (much-due) attention.

The Mediterranean climate, proximity to Santiago, better job opportunities, and higher rental yields naturally make the 6th, 7th, and 8th regions more appealing in the long run than areas to the extreme north or south.

Still, the central regions encompass a huge range of environments, from semi-urban zones to the Andean cordillera (mountain range), from wine country to small fishing villages. Over the last year I’ve had a lot of people ask me which of these areas offer the best investment potential and, more specifically, where I’m buying.

Before we talk about areas with the highest investment potential, I want to point out that these days it probably makes sense for everyone to own at least a couple hectares of agricultural land with a solid water source. I could go on for hours about how the global market fundamentals for food and farmland should be favorable for the next decade or more, but that’s for another day. The point is: if you don’t currently own any farmland, it’s probably priority number one.

That being said, and as much as I like well-located farmland in the central valley (The best price per hectare for the most productive farmland in Chile is in the 7th and 8th regions.), it’s not where I’m putting much of my money. If I was a few years away from retirement, had a large nest egg, and wanted a regular yearly return with good prospects for appreciation, I’d probably opt for farmland, most likely in the northern part of the 7th region. Likewise, if I had a couple million dollars in the bank, buying several hundred hectares in the central valley, planting them in cherries, blueberries, raspberries, or wine grapes and living off the profits would be a great option.

For better or worse, I don’t fit into either of these categories. I’m still relatively young and, while I tend to be quite conservative with my investment money, I look for bigger returns than 5 or 6%.

Some people laugh at me when I tell them this, saying that it’s impossible to find something that could double or triple in value in a few years’ time without exposing yourself to significant downside risk. While this is generally true for stocks, currencies, business ventures, etc., I’d disagree when it comes to certain sectors of the Chilean real estate market.

I’ve watched plenty of people make significant gains on property in Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama but was never all that tempted to enter any of those markets. The political risk and the fact that so many of the new buyers were foreigners made me a little too uncomfortable.

In Chile, the situation is totally different. First off, due to the country’s solid financial situation, political risk is very low. Secondly, most people who are looking for property in Chile aren’t foreign investors; they’re Chileans with more disposable income than they’ve ever had,who are looking for a house or apartment to live in, or a country property for weekend use. Just last year, the unemployment rate for the Santiago area hit the lowest level in the last 15 years, 6.2%, and the government’s healthy balance sheet is starting to stand out more and more in comparison with other debtor nations. In this kind of market, it’s pretty easy to make money on property (maybe 10%-15% per year between rental yield and price increases), and the downside risk really is quite limited.

However, this still doesn’t excite me much. When you spend enough time learning about the country, getting to know intelligent and important Chileans, regularly reading local business magazines, listening to Chilean radio programs, and scouring the countryside for undervalued property, you realize there’s even more money to be made in certain localized markets.

Just the other night, I called the man from whom I bought my first property, because he has a couple of other places for sale that I was considering including on one of my property tours. After the regular cordialities, I explained I’ve got a few people interested in property in his area. (I didn’t mention that “a few people” actually meant well over 100.) He mentioned that since I bought my parcel a couple years ago, the area has gotten more popular, the eucalyptus trees have grown, and prices have risen.

“OK, so what are you asking for the two hectares now?” I cut to the chase. Two years ago he was asking about $18,000 USD but now wants $40,000. It´s doubled within two years, butconsidering the location of this property, I’d still say it’s a decent price for the property. Word has started to get out about this region but is still far from being overrun.

    Coastal farming village

(The coastal farming village near where I bought my first property)

This past week I’ve been exploring the headlands and rocky points on a new section of coastline, farther north from where I used to live. It’s been slow going, driving down every dirt and gravel turnoff I can find that leads to the ocean, and stopping to chat with locals, but I’m starting to narrow things down a bit here and should have a new “pick” sometime soon.

    favorite parts of chilean

(Two of my favorite parts of the central Chilean coastline which are accessible by road)

Another place that’s currently on my radar is along the road to a planned ski area in one of the central regions. If this place gets built, it could easily be the best ski resort in Chile due to the amount of snowfall. Most locals don’t know anything about this project yet. It hasn’t been widely publicized, and, in general, people who live in the valley aren’t skiers. This represents opportunity in my eyes.

Compare this to the area around the new metro line in Santiago, which won’t be completed for another five years but is already referenced by every property seller within a mile radius, and you can really see the difference.

I don’t know what the best area of Chile is, but it’s clear that these are the kinds of places that offer the greatest upside potential. They’re the places that make me really excited.

A Shocking and Sobering Warning to Get Out of the USA from A Sermon by AT Jones in 1901.

"The time is soon coming when God’s people, because of persecution, will be scattered in many countries. Those who have received an all-round education will have the advantage where they are.—Manuscript Releases 5:280 (1908); Last Day Events, p. 152.1.

BREAKING NEWS: Supreme Court: Same-sex couples can marry in all 50 states

EGW stated that Jones and Waggoner were “Messengers,” which means the Lord gave them special messages to deliver to His people. Jesus warned His followers to escape from Jerusalem before it was destroyed.  And those who heeded His warning survived the terrible slaughter that took place in AD 70.  I believe this a warning for us today!  I believe it is something we should be implementing as QUICKLY as possible and praying about very seriously.

"Jesus declared to the listening disciples the judgments that were to fall upon apostate Israel...And the Saviour warned His followers: `When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoso readeth let him understand) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains.'...When the warning sign should be seen, judgment was to follow so quickly that those who would escape must make no delay....They must not hesitate a moment, lest they be involved in the general destruction.Spirit of Prophecy, vol 4, p 26-27.

"It is often the case that trouble is greater in anticipation than in reality; but this is not true of the crisis before us. The most vivid presentation cannot reach the magnitude of the ordeal" --{GC 621-622 (1911)}.

    I saw the saints leaving the cities and villages, and associating together in companies, and living in the most solitary places. Angels provided them food and water, while the wicked were suffering from hunger and thirst. {Mar 270.3}

"During the night a very impressive scene passed before me. There seemed to be great confusion and the conflict of armies. A messenger from the Lord stood before me, and said, "Call your householdI will lead youfollow me." He led me down a dark passage, through a forest, then through the clefts of mountains, and said, "Here you are safe." There were others who had been led to this retreat. The heavenly messenger said. "The time of trouble has come as a thief in the night, as the Lord warned you it would come" {Mar 270.4}. Link to rest of quote: Maranatha, p. 270.4

If you are going to live in Chile you are going to experience this sort of thing time and again. If you approach any situation knowing that you will possibly be disappointed and dissatisfied, then the likelihood of being enraged and having a really bad day is greatly diminished.

Last week, my daughter came home with a note from school.  Vaccines were going to be made available for the students.  I simply had to sign that I did not wish my daughter to be injected with toxins.  There was no special dispensation or approval necessary from a doctor or religious authority.  Simple parental consent (or refusal) was all that was requested.  In the good ole US of A, students are now injected without even notifying parents.  Parents who protest can be thrown in jail. http://escapeamericanow.info/there-are-terrorists-there/

9 THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO YOU WHEN YOU MOVE TO CHILE:

    1. YOU’LL ERECT ALTARS TO THE PALTA (AVOCADO) GODS AND DEPENDING ON YOUR RELIGION OF CHOICE, FIND YOURSELF LIGHTING VOTIVES/SOFTLY CHANTING/DEPLUMING PIGEONS IN HONOR OF THE PERSON WHO FIRST THOUGHT OF SPREADING IT ON HOT DOGS (COMPLETOS) AND VARIOUS BURGERS (CHURRASCOS). HOME-GROWN AND DELICIOUS, CHILEAN AVOCADOS ARE SO PRIZED THEY HAVE THEIR OWN FACEBOOK FAN PAGE (SERIOUSLY: LOOK IT UP.) SEIZED BY PALTA FRENZY, YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF TEMPTED TO START COMPLEMENTING UNORTHODOX CHOICES — CHOCOLATE, REESE’S, SOCKS — WITH THIS SWEET, GREEN SUBSTANCE. TREAD CAREFULLY.

    2. Bread will slowly but surely begin replacing all other food groups until your personal food pyramid is an amalgamation of marraquetashallullas, and cotizas. Typically consumed for breakfast along with avocado (see #1), as well as a faithful lunch, dinner, and once (the equivalent of the Brits’ elevenses) companion, its encroaching presence in your life will eventually manifest itself on your expanding midsection.

    3. The sight of a mounted police officer galloping toward you at a major intersection won’t scare the living daylights out of you. Though it may initially conjure up images of ringwraiths charging Frodo, in time you will become so accustomed to these towering law enforcers that when one night, as you attempt to hail a cab, one sidles up to you — purportedly to ensure your safety — and proceeds to ask you for your number, you’ll respond by merely rolling your eyes, and exchanging a complicit glance with its steed. See #4.

    4. As a woman, you’ll master your ‘resting bitch face’ when out and about — any other expression being a clear invitation to elope and/or fornicate with male passersby.

    5. No matter how despotic your education in proper Spanish pronunciation, you’ll abandon the academic rigor your accent betrayed and begin sounding like a Chilean trucker. Chileans are notorious for dropping d’s and s’s as well as dousing their speech with chilenismos, words and expressions exclusively used in Chile, and speaking at an incomprehensibly fast pace. As a non-Latino, be ready to become the laughing stock of other Spanish-speaking countries: basically, you’ll be the equivalent of a Swiss landing in the US and speaking English with a Bengali accent.

    6. You’ll hold back tears the first few times you’re asked to cough up monetary values in the thousands for a simple beer or pack of hair scrunchies (thought they’d gone extinct after the 1990s? They died and went to the Southern Cone).

    7. Thinking you’re going native, you’ll buy an alpaca wool sweater — the one with the llama soul train dancing across your chest — only to realize that none of the locals would be caught dead wearing one, you tourist. Nevertheless, it will become a staple of your winter wardrobe, your second skin essentially, as betrayed by your refusal to ever remove it and, accordingly, wash it.

    8. You’ll convince yourself you’ve learned to handle terremotos, a deadly mix of pineapple ice cream and young fermented wine. This will never be true, as you’ll discover (again) when you find yourself blurrily debating whether the lunar landing took place in a Hollywood studio with random bar patrons.

    9. After dreaming of the country’s fabled beaches, you’ll dive into its sparkling waters only to realize their sub-Arctic temperatures can only possibly accommodate beluga whales and other large maritime mammals (#2 may help you in that pursuit). Thankfully, there are always the Andes. Source: http://matadornetwork.com/abroad/9-things-happen-move-chile/

    Interesting article about Chile: http://www.businessinsider.com/in-case-youre-wondering-why-i-spend-so-much-time-down-here-2012-2

Like America of the past, Chile is a country that’s friendly to productive, responsible,  hard-working people. It’s very easy to obtain a residency visa and work permit– all you need is a work contract from just about any local company, and you’re entitled to what’s called a “sujeto a contrato” visa.

This particular visa is renewed after one year. After the second year of continuous employment, you’re entitled to permanent residency. Three years later, you can apply for naturalization and a Chilean passport, as long as you meet minimum time-in-country requirements.

Best of all, you don’t even need a lawyer. Compared to what I’ve seen in Europe and North America, the red tape involved in the Chilean immigration process is minimal; local companies in Chile have tremendous latitude in hiring foreign workers without the government getting involved.

I personally know a number of foreigners who have moved to Chile and obtained work visas in this way– South Africans, Americans, Canadians, Spaniards, French, Brits, Russians, Chinese…

One Cuban acquaintance of mine managed to escape the Castro absurdity 3 years ago. Rather than stow away for Miami, though, she opted for a much longer journey, making her way to Chile.

She eventually found a job with a Canadian mining company (an English-language environment) based here. This is remarkable when you think about it– that a foreign company can come to Chile and hire non-Chileans with ease.

In the article, Chile’s Labor Minister Bruno Baranda confirmed his government’s openness to foreigners, indicating that there is a major shortage of laborers, skilled workers, and professionals in mining, construction, and agriculture.

I can personally attest to the shortage of agricultural workers– it’s been extremely difficult to find so much as a day laborer in the town near our farm despite the premium wages we’ve been offering. As a result, I’m considering bringing in additional manpower from abroad under the ‘visa a contrato’ scheme.

Furthermore, agricultural professionals in my area like agronomists and irrigation specialists are often booked weeks in advance… another interesting indicator of the opportunities down here.

I’ve been saying this for a while now, but I’ll say it again: if the job market looks bleak where you are, take matters into your own hands… especially if you’re young and facing absolutely zero prospects. Get your feet wet abroad– the opportunities are much brighter, and the experience can be life-changing.

There are a lot of places in the world where foreigners can come to thrive– others include Singapore, Qatar, Mongolia, several places in the Caribbean, the United Arab Emirates, and many more. Chile just happens to be one of my favorites… and if you take a look at this short video, you’ll understand why.

Be sure, too, to visit AllAboutChile.com for discussion and forums about the country and what’s going on with Freedom Orchard.
Dr. Cobin’s book, Life in Chile: A Former American’s Guide for Newcomers, is the most comprehensive treatise on Chilean life ever written, designed to help newcomers get settled in Chile. He covers almost every topic imaginable for immigrants. This knowledge is applied in his valet consulting service – Chile Consulting – where he guides expatriates through the process of finding a place to live and settle in Chile, helping them glide over the speed bumps that they would otherwise face in getting their visas, setting up businesses, buying real estate, investing in Chilean stocks or gold coins, etc. The cost is $49.
Dr. Cobin’s sequel book, Expatriates to Chile: Topics for Living, adds even further depth on important topics to expatriates who either live in Chile already or who have Chile on the short list of countries where they hope to immigrate. The book deals with crucial issues pertaining to urban and rural real estate transactions, natural disasters, issues pertaining to emigration and its urgency, money and the quality of life, medical care and insurance, business opportunities, social manifestations (including welfare state and divorce policy concerns), Chile in the freedom indices, social maladies (lying, cheating, stealing and murder), as well as discussion of a few places worth visiting and some further comments about Santiago.
For a brief introduction consider Dr. Cobin’s abridged book (56 pages): Chile: A Primer for Expats ($19), offering highlights found in the two larger books.

Grenada - The climate is tropical: hot and humid in the rainy season and cooled by the trade winds in the dry season. The average temperature is about 30 °C (86 °F). There are two seasons: the 'dry' season is from January to May and the 'rainy' season lasts for the rest of the year. There are short spells of rain in the dry period but they last no more than 5 minutes or so. Gray clouds over the mountains are the first sign of rain. Travelers passing through Grenada are required to have a passport. So named because it passes by seven of Grand Etang's mountain waterfalls, which are nestled in the emerald vegetation of the rain forest. The trail takes about three hours, even for experienced hikers.  http://www.sandals.com/destinations/grenada/Inline image 1

Switzerland - Otherwise famous for watches, chocolate, and neutrality, Switzerland also turns out to be the best place to be an expat. Foreign workers report a happy work-life balance and like the country’s clean air and scenic terrain. Plus, expats do well there—25% earn more than $200,000 per year (perhaps not coincidentally, the same percentage of the country’s expats work in finance).

Three-quarters of New Zealand’s expats are Britons and they flock to the former colony for its stunning landscape and welcoming culture. Expats reported feeling healthier and sportier in New Zealand than in their home countries. It also rated as the most child-friendly of the nations surveyed.

Ecuador ranked high on almost every metric surveyed, including personal finance, making friends, and personal happiness. "It is," according to Expat Insider's report, "unsurprising that over nine out of ten expats (91%) report being satisfied with their life in Ecuador. [And] it makes sense that almost half the expats in Ecuador plan to stay there 'possibly forever.'"

Unlike Luxembourg or Ecuador, Mexico fits expats like a glove. It is "the clear winner in the Ease of Settling In Index," with nearly 44 percent of expats saying that they'd like to simply stay there forever enjoying the beautiful weather, spectacular food and outgoing culture.

All in all, it's a pretty darn good showing for a country that most Americans still regard with fear and suspicion, but also somewhat surprising given that many expats living in Mexico agree with them. Less than two-thirds of respondents were happy with their level of personal safety, leading to a bizarrely high number of people who claim to be perfectly content while living in fear.

Meanwhile, anchoring the other end of the list are the three top places for a U.S. expat to avoid.

The center of Chile, with the two cities Santiago and Valparaíso, has a Mediterranean climate with an average temperatures of 28 °C (82Fahrenheit) in January and 11 °C (51.8 Fahrenheit) in July. In the middle of Chile, the country is very fertile.

Summary: Expats in Chile enjoy the country's beaches, beautiful cities and lower cost of living. Santiago, La Serena, Vina del Mar and other destinations top their favorite places to live in Chile.

Expat Chile - The Best Places to Live in Chile

La Serena, Chile and Coquimbo City, Chile

"La Serena is linked by the Ocean front with Coquimbo City. Both add up to nearly 350,000 people. The beach length is over 10 kilometers. So if you want to enjoy the Ocean, you should rent an apartment on the shore line. La Serena City has an Spanish architecture on the centre. It is a beautiful city. Coquimbo City is more popular. They have the pier for fishing boats and the fish market. This city is more popular, less organized and they have several pubs for dancing. Both cities have different charms, so you must choose where to live there. La Serena must be seen with Coquimbo as Twin Cities as they are neighboring cities. La Serena is more organized, one of the oldest cities of Chile, keeping some Spanish style. Coquimbo is more popular, more workers living on it, but has the charm of the port, the always attractive fish market and the fun of the lay people. Regarding weather -- it is like a permanent Spring -- never cold and seldom over 30C. Today at the start of the winter, the ranges were 12C and 21C. Both cities have a fantastic beach of more than 10 kilometers. Nice for swimming, walking and watching birds. There is always room to be alone, isolated on such a lengthy beach. If you go off season, the better. For your information, Chileans mostly have their vacations concentrated in only two months of the year: January and February. Also, another fun date for Chileans are Fiestas Patrias, the days around 18th and 19th of September when we celebrate Independence. If you like local customs, you shouldn't miss this celebration. It is an entire week of holiday, so people come massively to La Serena on these days. But the rest of the year, you have 9 months and 3 weeks of beach activity just for local people. Coquimbo people are unique in Chile. They take tents and celebrate for an entire week to a place called La Pampilla, around the end of September. La Serena is not surrounded by desert. Just look Google Earth. It is a dry area and a severe draught is affecting it. If you move 60 kilometers to Ovalle into the inner valleys, there are big green parcels of land full of grapes, avocado trees and vegetables. You have both dry soil with cactus and scarce food for the people's goats, and at the same time beautiful green areas. La Serena is really close to Santiago by air. it is a 450 kilometer ride, or 6 hours for normal, good bus lines and there are many of them. So, you always can travel to Santiago for business or for shopping. La Serena has branches of all the major department stores of Santiago. So, you can find almost anything you may need," described one expat living in Chile.

    Living in Santiago, Chile

Living in Santiago ChileAn expat living in Santiago provided an insightful overview of life there, "finding other expats here in Santiago is not very difficult at all really. Just take a stroll down Isidora Goyenechea or El Bosque and you'll feel as though you found a street somewhere in the U.S. Santiago is a very diverse city in terms of religious, racial, economic and cultural matters. They seem very accepting of any religious groups but I have noticed here a strong tendency towards "classism" and a definite prejudice (among some) towards any darker skinned people. There is a definite divide among different social classes. The job market is a bit tough here just now but if you teach English, you shouldn't have a problem finding work. Also, anyone in the technical (computer) or health fields should not have trouble finding work either. Although it is possible to find work before you come to Chile, most employers prefer that you are already here in Chile before they hire you. I would tell a friend looking to move here to learn a little Spanish first, don't bring everything you own with you because you can find all you need here and prepare to have a wonderful, new cultural experience because Chile is an interesting and beautiful place to live."

Another expat described her suburb of Santiago, "we live in a small community on the west side of the city that is now officially the 'safest' in all Chile. Where they get that statistic I am not sure but anyway. There are 250 houses here with one dead end road in and out. A river on one side and mountain behind us. There are very few houses for rent here. When is your time frame and what kind of price range do you have? I will check to see what is possible. There are many building going up as they are expanding by 60 houses down near the river but I can't imagine any of those will be rentals. Ours will be available in about 6 months as our house goes up though. If you are looking on a map it is part of Santiago and Pudahuel. It is called 'Lomas de lo Aguirre.' It looks far from the city, but by car is 15 min to town. By bus/subway during high traffic it is 1 hour plus (they use a different route and stop a lot :) But we use them a lot, you just plan ahead. Most expats live in several areas of the city that are indeed pricey and similar to the US big city. We are in a quite nice house and pay $800 USD a month for a nice 4BR house. So as usual expenses are a function of where you have to live."

Another expat said, "I have been to Santiago 3 times now....I have lived here 4-5 months this time. My experience is that the people have been very very friendly, that it is relatively cheap to live. I came from Canada so for me food prices, rents, and especially alcohol are dirt cheap! I feel safe walking alone here....my Spanish is not good but when I tell people I speak English they are very patient and try to help. I think it's a great place to live!"

Living in Vina del Mar, Chile

Vina del Mar Chile Expat"I currently live in Los Angeles California with my partner and we visit Vina del Mar every year. We are planning to retire in 2016. We just bought a condo together in Vina just 3 blocks from the ocean, brand new for about 150K. Chile is beautiful, safe, the people are friendly. I have read a lot about how to immigrate to Chile and it is very easy as long as you can prove you have a retirement income," recommended one personmoving to Vina del Mar. Another said, "to give you an example, if you choose to live in the resort town of Vina del Mar, you can rent a 2 bedroom in a good part of town for about 500 mil pesos (about one thousand dollars) and you can definitely pay all the other bills and live a comfortable life."

The cold temperatures and winds of the extreme south make it impossible for heavy forestation. Grassland is found in Atlantic Chile (in Patagonia).

Chile extends some 2,500 miles (4,025 kilometers) from north to south and therefore has a number of varying climates. The country is very rugged with mountain ranges and several large islands off the coast. Generally speaking the weather is more moderate near the coast and much colder in the mountains.

Thanks to its impressive mountain ranges, Chile is a great ski resort destination, which means it has a significant snowy season every year. In southern Chile, the weather is generally rainy all year round falling as snow in much of the high altitude areas. However, in the coastal areas of the South, the winters are rarely too cold and summers are comfortably cool.

In the Northern regions, precipitation is much less which results in a much higher snow line in the mountains and a very desert-like climate in the areas nearer the coast. In fact, northern Chile is one of the driest regions in the world. Despite that fact that rain nearly never falls, the weather is often cloudy and cool resulting in temperatures reaching only 82°F (28°C) in the warm months of March and only 63°F (17°C) in July

The central region of Chile experiences a climate much like that of the Mediterranean coastline with warm, dry summers, and moderately wet, cool winters. Though quite rare on the coast, this central region is susceptible to light snow and frost further inland. One example of a central region city is Santiago where there may be very little sunlight during the dark, winter months. The temperatures in Santiago range from about 38°F to 57.2°F (3.2°C to 14.5°C) in July and 53.6°F to 84.2°F (12.4°C to 29.4°C) in January. This means the winter season is exactly the opposite of the northern hemisphere which means you could come to Chile to experience an extended ski and snowboard season!

    Rio Blanco del Enco

Flowing off the Western flank of Volcan El Mocho (2422 meters) in Chile´s 14th Region de Los Lagos is a fun, springtime, steep-creek. The river is fed by crystal clear snowmelt with a short springtime season. The class 3-4 creek is very steep with average gradient of 42 m/km (210 FPM) and requires very little […]

About 95% of Chileans are Caucasian (including some people of Arab ancestry), or people with a combination of European descent, mostly (SpanishBasqueItalian and German). “Prayer and effort, effort and prayer, will be the business of your life. You must pray as though the efficiency and praise were all due to God, and labor as though duty were all your own.” --Testimonies for the Church, vol. 4, p. 538 (1881).

    In 1899 Ellen White predicts and warns God's People living today - just before Jesus returns: “In India, China, Russia, and the cities of America, thousands of men and women are dying of starvation. The monied men, because they have the power, control the market. They purchase at low rates all they can obtain, and then sell at greatly increased prices. This means starvation to the poorer classes, and will (future tense when written in  1899 by EGW) result in a civil war. There will be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation, even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book. . . . Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” --Ms 114, 1899.      "So in the prophecies the future is opened before us as plainly as it was opened to the disciples by the words of Christ. The events connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for the time of trouble, are clearly presentedBut multitudes have no more understanding of these important truths than if they had never been revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make them wise unto salvation, and the time of trouble will find them unready." {GC88 594.1}

…Angel and that the swift messengers must speed on their way to search out the scattered flock. An angel said, "Are all messengers? No, no, God's messengers have A MESSAGE." The Present Truth, April 1, 1850, (Vol. 1, #9)

The fourth Commandment: "Sabbath observance would be the “line of distinction” In the “final test”
that will separate God's end-time people who ... receive the seal of God' and are saved, from those who “receive the mark of the beast.” (The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan, p. 605).

Exodus 20:8-11 KJV: "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

Bible prophecy makes it very clear that just prior to Christ’s Second Advent, "…there shall be a time of
trouble; such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time.…" Daniel 12:1. "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble.…" Jeremiah 30:7. "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." Matthew 24:21.

"We tried to call up our greatest trials, but they looked so small compared with the far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory that surrounded us that we could not speak them out, and we all cried out, ‘Alleluia, heaven is cheap enough!’ and we touched our glorious harps and made heaven’s arches ring." Early Writings, 17 "Heaven will be cheap

enough, if we obtain it through suffering." Early Writings, 67. "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." 2 Corinthians 4:17. "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Romans 8:18. Amen.

“Our only safety is in being ready for the heavenly refreshing, having our lamps trimmed and burning. Christ has told us to watch; "for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh." "Watch and pray" is the charge that is given us by our Redeemer.”—Selected Messages, book 1, p. 192.

"The church of Christ (144,000) found refuge in seclusion and obscurity." The Great Controversy, p. 54.2

"I stated that... there was to be special light for God's people as they neared the closing scenes of this earth's history. Another angel was to come from heaven with a message, and the whole earth was to be lightened with his glory. It would be impossible for us to state just how this additional light would come. It might come in a very unexpected manner, in a way that would not agree with the ideas that many have conceived. It is not at all unlikely, or contrary to the ways and works of God, to send light to His people in unexpected ways." Manuscript Releases, volume 13, 334.

    Time of Trouble

Maranatha Chap. 262 - Angelic Protection in the Time of Trouble

    Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. Isaiah 26:20. {Mar 270.1}

    In the day of fierce trial He [Christ] will say, "Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast." What are the chambers in which they are to hideThey are the protection of Christ and holy angelsThe people of God are not at this time all in one placeThey are in different companies, and in all parts of the earth. {Mar 270.2}

    I saw the saints leaving the cities and villages, and associating together in companies, and living in the most solitary places. Angels provided them food and water, while the wicked were suffering from hunger and thirst. {Mar 270.3}

    During the night a very impressive scene passed before me. There seemed to be great confusion and the conflict of armies. A messenger from the Lord stood before me, and said, "Call your householdI will lead youfollow me." He led me down a dark passage, through a forest, then through the clefts of mountains, and said, "Here you are safe." There were others who had been led to this retreat. The heavenly messenger said. "The time of trouble has come as a thief in the night, as the Lord warned you it would come." {Mar 270.4}

    In the time of trouble just before the coming of Christ, the righteous will be preserved through the ministration of heavenly angels; but there will be no security for the transgressor of God's law. Angels cannot then protect those who are disregarding one of the divine precepts. {Mar 270.5}

In the closing period of earth's history the Lord will work mightily in behalf of those who stand steadfastly for the right. . . . In the midst of the time of trouble--trouble such as has not been since there was a nation--His chosen ones will stand unmoved. Satan with all the hosts of evil cannot destroy the weakest of God's saints. Angels that excel in strength will protect them, and in their behalf Jehovah will reveal Himself as a "God of gods," able to save to the uttermost those who have put their trust in Him" {Mar 270.6}.

15.05.19 - Vatican Adviser Says America’s Founding Document Is Outmoded, Reveals Global Game Plan

"...when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions..." 5T451.1

"By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy (keep Sunday holy Law) in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness (truth). When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold unionour country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusionsthen we may KNOW that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near." Testimonies for the Church Volume 5, p. 451.1

Mar 29, 2015: Arizona Senator Sylvia Allen is already calling for a SUNDAY LAW - who probably does not realize the ramifications of what she is doing: ("many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending" 5T452 . )

Sen. Sylvia Allen: "I believe what's happening to our country is that there's a moral erosion of the soul of America," she said. "It's the soul that is corrupt. How we get back to a moral rebirth I don't know. Since we are slowly eroding religion at every opportunity we have. Probably we should be debating a bill requiring every American to attend a church of their choice ON SUNDAY to see if we can get back to having a moral rebirth."

"When the law of God is made void, the church will be sifted by fiery trials, and a larger proportion than we now anticipate will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Instead of being strengthened when brought into strait places, many prove that they are not living branches of the True Vine, they bear no fruit, and the husbandman taketh them away. But when the iniquitous powers work to make void the law of God, what will be the effect upon the truly obedient and righteous? Will they be carried away by the strong current of evil? Because so many range themselves under the banner of the prince of darkness, will God's commandment-keeping people swerve from their allegiance? Never! No one who is abiding in Christ will fail or fall. His followers will not bow in obedience to any earthly potentate. Adventist or Catholic or any church denomination. ABIDE IN CHRIST ALONE. IF you have Christ, you have His Father, our God also" Selected Messages Book 2, p. 368.1.

I believe this is the time when those who have "professed" to be Christ's but have lied and are not, will bow to the Saints they have derided and despised, and admit to them that Jesus has loved us because we have obeyed and followed the Lamb withersoever He goeth. Jesus our Shepard and Pastor is saying Come sheep, come lambs, come MY PEOPLE and follow me OUT of the churches that have forsaken my ways and my Father's Ten Commandments. Come out so that you will be spared the plagues that will fall on all those who have followed and adopted the heathen/pagan Babylonian customs and gods. Come out and shut your doors of your home/mind from the influences of the false doctrines in all the churches. Come out/go out to meet the Bridegroom Jesus our spiritual husband. We do not want to defile ourselves with other churches/false doctrines but keep ourselves the pure faith of Jesus our Shepherd and spiritual husband.

We are to COME OUT into our HOMES. Jesus our Shepard says,

"Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers (rooms/home), and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast." (KJV) Isaiah 26:20

    "As the Lord bade faithful Noah before the flood, Come thou, and all thy house, into the ark, he will, previous to the time of trouble, say to his faithful saints, who have been preparing for translation, “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee. Hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth, also, shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” --{Spiritual Gifts, Volume 4a, p. 149.1}

    "May the light that shines from the throne of God shine into the chambers of the mind and into the soul-temple." --{Sermons and Talks Volume Two, p. 268.2}

(Isaiah 49:16). How to Prepare for Future Protection—When tempted to sin, let us remember that Jesus is pleading for us in the heavenly sanctuary. When we put away our sins and come to Him in faith, He takes our names on His lips, and presents them to His Father, saying, “I have graven them upon the palms of my hands; I know them by name.” And the command goes forth to the angels to protect them. Then in the day of fierce trial He will say, “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.” What are the chambers in which they are to hide?—They are the protection of Christ and holy angels. The people of God are not at this time all in one place. They are in different companies, and in all parts of the earth; and they will be tried singly, not in groups. Every one must stand the test for himself (The Review and Herald, November 19, 1908).

"Satan is now using every device in this sealing time to keep the minds of God's people from the present truth, and to cause them to waver. I saw a COVERING that God was drawing over His people to protect them in the time of trouble; and every soul that was decided on the truth, and was pure in heart, was to be covered with the covering of the Almighty. Satan knew this, and he was at work in mighty power to keep the minds of as many people as he possibly could wavering and unsettled on the truth.... I saw that Satan was at work ... to distract, deceive, and draw away God's people, just now in this sealing time. I saw some who were not standing stiffly for present truth. Their knees were trembling, and their feet sliding because they were not firmly planted on the truth...."  Sons and Daughters of God, p. 342.2

    "Satan was trying his every art to hold them where they were, until the sealing was past, until the covering was drawn over God's people, and they left without a shelter from the burning wrath of God, in the seven last plagues."1Early Writings, 43, 44. --{Sons and Daughters of God, p. 342.2}

"There was a coming out, a decided separation from the wicked, an escape for life. So it was in the days of Noah; so with Lot; so with the disciples prior to the destruction of Jerusalem; and SO IT WILL BE IN THE LAST DAYSAgain the voice of God is heard in a message of warning, bidding His people separate themselves from the prevailing iniquity." Patriarchs and Prophets, p 166.

The saints then will be an obscure people little KNOWN to the Catholics." Spalding and Magan Collection, p. 1.5

The light that was shed upon the waiting ones penetrated everywhere, and those who had any light in the churches, who had not heard and rejected the three messages, answered to the call, and left the fallen churches. Many had come to years of accountability since these messages had been given, and the light shone upon them, and they were privileged to choose life or death. Some chose life, and took their stand with those looking for their Lord, and keeping all his commandments. The third message was to do its work; all were to be tested upon it, and the precious ones were to be called out from the religious bodies. A compelling power moves the honest, while the manifestation of the power of God holds in fear and restraint relatives and friends, and they dare not, neither have they power to, hinder those who feel the work of the Spirit of God upon them. The last call is carried even to the poor slaves, and the pious among them, with humble expressions, pour forth their songs of extravagant joy at the prospect of their happy deliverance, and their masters cannot check them; for a fear and astonishment keep them silent. Mighty miracles are wrought, the sick are healed, and signs and wonders follow the believers. God is in the work, and every saint, fearless of consequences, follows the convictions of his own conscience, and unites with those who are keeping all the commandments of God; and they sound abroad the third message with power. I saw that the third message would close with power and strength far exceeding the midnight cry.

    Servants of God, endowed with power from on high, with their faces lighted up, and shining with holy consecration, went forth fulfilling their work, and proclaiming the message from heaven. Souls that were scattered all through the religious bodies answered to the call, and the precious were hurried out of the doomed churches, as Lot was hurried out of Sodom before her destruction. God's people were fitted up and strengthened by the excellent glory which fell upon them in rich abundance, preparing them to endure the hour of temptation. A multitude of voices I heard everywhere, saying, Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." --{See Revelation 14:12, Revelation 18, Joel 2:9-11; The Great Controversy Chapter 34}

Who and What is “The Church”?

    1.                 “I was shown that those who are trying to obey God and purifying their souls through obedience to the truth are God’s chosen people, His modern Israel”. 2T-109.

    2.
“There is no other church than the assembly of those who have the word of God, and who are purified by it. Adventists, seeing that the churches rejected the testimony of God’s word, could no longer regard them as constituting the church of Christ.” 4 SP-237.

    3.     “God has a church. It is not the great cathedrals, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominationsit is the people who love God and keep His commandments. ‘Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them’. Matthew 18:20. Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church.”
    Upward Look, 315.

Who and What is The Church?
The Church is, those who are trying to obey God and purifying their souls through obedience to the truth”, “those who have the word of God, and who are purified by it”, “the people who love God and keep His commandments.” With this as our definition of Who and What The Church is, we can then decide who is NOT The Church

“When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result.” http://www.whiteestate.org/books/gc/gc25.html

“The whole earth is to be lightened with the glory of God’s truth.  The Lord will not close up the period of probation until the warning shall be more distinctly proclaimed.  The trumpet must give a certain sound.  The law of God is to be magnified, its claims must be presented in their true, sacred character, that the people may be brought to decide for or against the truth.  Yet the work will be cut short in righteousness.  The message of Christ’s righteousness is to sound from one end of the world to the other.  This is the glory (character) of God which closes the work of the third angel.” Last Day Events from the Letters and Manuscripts of E.G. White, p 179 (Letter 2c, 1892).

“It is impossible for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure.  ‘What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?  and what communion hath light with darkness?  and what concord hath Christ with Belial?’  God and Christ and the heavenly host would have man know that if he unites with the corrupt, he will become corrupt.” Review and Herald, January 2, 1900 (vol 4, p 137).

We must pass though what our example Jesus passed through:
"While we cannot now comprehend the works and ways of God, we can discern His great love, which underlies all His dealings with men. He who lives near to Jesus will understand much of the mystery of godliness. He will recognize the mercy that administers reproof, that tests the character, and brings to light the purpose of the heart.

When Jesus presented the testing truth that caused so many of His disciples to turn back, He knew what would be the result of His words; but He had a purpose of mercy to fulfill. He foresaw that in the hour of temptation every one of His beloved disciples would be severely tested. His agony in Gethsemane, His betrayal and crucifixion, would be to them a most trying ordeal. Had no previous test been given, many who were actuated by merely selfish motives would have been connected with them. (the testing message that separates today is the 1st and second and third angels messages; 1) the trinity of gods, 2) coming out of all churches, 3) obeying all 10 commandments) When their Lord was condemned in the judgment hall (court persecution for not worshiping the trinity and coming out of all 501c3 churches, and keeping all 10 commandments); when the multitude who had hailed Him as their king hissed at Him and reviled Him; when the jeering crowd cried, “Crucify Him!”—when their worldly ambitions were disappointed, these self-seeking ones (today "professed" Adventists/Christians) would, by renouncing their allegiance to Jesus, have brought upon the disciples a bitter, heart-burdening sorrow, in addition to their grief and disappointment in the ruin of their fondest hopes. In that hour of darkness, the example of those who turned from Him might have carried others with them (obey the 3 angels message without delay or "professed" SDA/Christians could do the same to you). But Jesus brought about this crisis while by His personal presence He could still strengthen the faith of His true followers. (Before Christ stands up in the most Holy he can still mediate/help us)

"Compassionate Redeemer, who in the full knowledge of the doom that awaited Him, tenderly smoothed the way for the disciples, prepared them for their crowning trial, and strengthened them for the final test!"  The Desire of Ages, p. 394.2.

     "So in the prophecies the future is opened before us as plainly as it was opened to the disciples by the words of Christ. The events connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for the time of trouble, are clearly presentedBut multitudes have no more understanding of these important truths than if they had never been revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make them wise unto salvation, and the time of trouble will find them unready." {GC88 594.1}

Countries which are making a law to accept same sex marriages are UNSAFE. Any country that does that is closer to implementing the Sunday law.

Here is where I am putting my research on this topic: EndTimeWarning.com/escape

I have traveled to Belize by car from Brownsville Tx in 1986 when I was 16 - on a mission trip with the Texas SDA conference Dan Serns was the conference youth group pastor then - and it was dangerous in 1986. I would not want to take that trip today period. South America is more dangerous I believe for Whites. It is very dangerous to fly? Perhaps we should charter a flight instead of use commercial if a group of us go together. It is not that expensive and may even be cheaper than if we all bought commercial airline tickets individually.

I would think Brother Van Grit would be invaluable to us all - especially if we go to a primarily non-English speaking country.

Perhaps if we all took a cruise to as close to Switzerland = at the very least - lets go and check it out and find a second place where we can settle down? and perhaps prepare a place of escape for others who have time to make it out of the USA. I have another person to pray about asking to go with us as well - and you may have people to consider including too. But we could go and find a place - pool our resources - and ask for God's direction, protection, and help as we plan our escape that God has so graciously revealed to us.

God always makes a way of escape for his people. Like the Jews in 70AD and 1940's from Germany into Switzerland... we are spiritual Jews seeking safety from religious persecution.

May God bless your minds as you seek His wisdom and counsel - please prayerfully consider my request. I am working on getting my passports for my girls and I as quickly as possible.

Please keep this as confidential as you can and still include those true God believers who you think would be receptive and would like to go.

Praying and pleading with God to show us what country we should escape to:

Praise GOD for His MERCY AND GOODNESS TOWARD US! CLAIM, SING AND SHOUT Psalms 117!

How many parents are lamenting the fact that they cannot keep their children at home, that they have no love for home. At an early age they have a desire for the company of strangers; and as soon as they are old enough they break away from that which appears to them to be bondage and unreasonable restraint, and will neither heed a mother's prayers nor a father's counselsInvestigation would generally reveal that the sin lay at the door of the parents. They have not made home what it ought to be--attractive, pleasant, radiant with the sunshine of kind words, pleasant looks, and true love.

The secret of saving your children lies in making your home lovely and attractive. Indulgence in parents will not bind the children to God nor to home; but a firm, godly influence to properly train and educate the mind would save many children from ruin.

    BURNT TOAST:

His Mom Served Burnt toast, but he was shocked when his Dad said this.
“When I was about eight or nine, my mom burnt some toast .
One night that stood out in m...y mind is when she had made dinner for us after a very long and rough day at work, She placed a plate of jam and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. Not slightly burnt but completely blackened toast.

I was just waiting to see if anyone noticed the burnt toast and would say anything. But Dad just ate his toast and asked me if I did my homework and how my day was. I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember hearing my mom apologizing to dad for burning the toast. And I’ll never forget what he said:

    “Sweetie, I love burned toast.”

Later that night, I went to tell my dad good night and ask him if he really liked his toast burned. He put his arm on my shoulder and said,

“Your momma put in a very long day at work today and she was very tired. And besides, A burnt toast never hurts anyone but you know what does? Harsh words!”

The he continued to say “You know, life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people I’m not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like every other human. What I’ve learned over the years, is that learning to accept each others faults and choosing to celebrate each other’s differences, is one of the most important keys for creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship. Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Love the people who treat you right and have compassion for the ones who don’t.”

Let's have kind instead of harsh words for the ones we love the MOST!!!

PRAISE GOD FOR BURNT TOAST! :)

Said the angel: “If light come, and that light is set aside or rejected, then comes condemnation and the frown of God; but before the light comes, there is no sin, for there is no light for them to reject.” Testimonies for the Church Volume 1, p. 116.1

“I saw that the quick work that God was doing on earth would soon be cut short in righteousness (truth, faith, reality of Christ’s presence), …

    “Cut short in righteousness”
    :
    "Pentecost brought them the heavenly illumination. The truths they could not understand while Christ was with them were now unfolded. With a faith and assurance that they had never before known, they accepted the teachings of the Sacred WordNo longer was IT A MATTER OF FAITH with them that Christ was the Son of God. They KNEW that, although clothed with humanity, He was indeed the Messiah, and THEY TOLD THEIR EXPERIENCE to the world with a CONFIDENCE which carried with it the CONVICTION that God was with them." {The Acts of the Apostles, p. 45.3}

"None but the hundred and forty-four thousand can learn that song; FOR IT IS THE SONG OF THEIR EXPERIENCE--AN EXPERIENCE SUCH AS NO OTHER COMPANY HAVE EVER HAD. "These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth." These, having been [1] translated from the earth, from among the living, are counted as "the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb." Revelation 15:2, 3; 14:1-5. [2] "These are they which came out of great tribulation;" they have passed through the time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation; [3] they have endured the anguish of the time of Jacob's trouble; [4] they have stood without an intercessor through the final outpouring of God's judgments. ... -[5] They have seen the earth wasted with famine and pestilence, the sun having power to scorch men with great heat, and they themselves have endured suffering, hunger, and thirst." (The Great Controversy, p. 648.3)

…Angel and that the swift messengers must speed on their way to search out the scattered flock. An angel said, "Are all messengers?
No, no, God's messengers have A MESSAGE." The Present Truth, April 1, 1850, (Vol. 1, #9)

That message is found in Acts 2:38 and the 3 angels messages (Revelation 14:6-12) with special focus on the 7th day Bible Sabbath (Exodus 20:8-11) being a final test for God’s people, just before the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 upon the backslidden modern SDA 501c3 church and its members when the Sunday law degree goes forth.

The fire that fell on the disciples in the upper room symbolizes the FERVENT ZEAL that God’s people will work for his CHARACTER and primitive Godliness to be perfectly reproduced in their lives and others.

"Characteristics of True Reformers.--Here [Isa. 8:11-14] are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of the third angel's message, these who avow themselves God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who is it that calls them, The repairer of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151.

"The Lord would have His people sound in the faith—not ignorant of the great salvation so abundantly provided for them. They are NOT to look forward, thinking that at some future time a great work is to be done for them; for the work is now complete. The believer is NOT called upon to make his peace with God; he never has nor ever can do this. He is to accept Christ as his peace, for with Christ is God and peace. Christ made an end of sin, bearing its heavy curse in His own body on the tree, and He hath taken away the curse from all those who believe in Him as a personal Saviour. He makes an end of the controlling power of sin in the heart, and the life and character of the believer testify to the genuine character of the grace of Christ. To those that ask Him, Jesus imparts the Holy Spirit; for it is necessary that every believer should be delivered from pollution, as well as from the curse and condemnation of the law. Through the work of the Holy Spirit (God & His Son's Spirit's combined=they will make their abode in us John 14:23), the sanctification of the truth, the believer becomes fitted for the courts of heaven; for Christ works within us, and His righteousness is upon us. Without this no soul will be entitled to heaven. We would not enjoy heaven unless qualified for its holy atmosphere by the influence of the Spirit and the righteousness of Christ." Selected Messages Book 1, p. 394.3

In former years the wives of ministers endured want and persecution. When their husbands suffered imprisonment, and sometimes death, those noble, self-sacrificing women suffered with them, and their reward will be equal to that bestowed on the husband. Mrs. Boardman and the Mrs. Judsons suffered for the truth,—suffered with their companions. They sacrificed home and friends in every sense of the word, to aid their companions in the work of enlightening those who sat in darkness; to reveal to them the hidden mysteries of the word of God. Their lives were in constant peril. To save souls was their great object, and for this they could suffer cheerfully....

If a minister’s wife accompanies her husband in his travels, she should not go for her own special enjoyment, to visit and to be waited upon, but to labor with him. She should have a united interest with him to do good. She should be willing to accompany her husband, if home cares do not hinder, and she should aid him in his efforts to save souls. With meekness and humility, yet with a noble self-reliance, she should have a leading influence upon minds around her, and should act her part and bear her cross and burden in meeting, and around the family altar, and in conversation at the fireside. The people expect this, and they have a right to expect it. If these expectations are not realized, the husband’s influence is more than half destroyed.

The wife of a minister can do much if she will. If she possesses the spirit of self-sacrifice, and has a love for souls, she can with him do almost an equal amount of good. A sister-laborer in the cause of truth can understand and reach some cases, especially among the sisters, that the minister cannot.

A responsibility rests upon the minister’s wife which she should not and cannot lightly throw off. God will require the talent lent her, with usury. She should work earnestly, faithfully, and unitedly with her husband to save souls. She should never urge her wishes and desires, or express a lack of interest in her husband’s labor, or dwell upon homesick, discontented feelings. All these natural feelings must be overcome. She should have a purpose in life which should be unfalteringly carried out. What if this conflicts with the feelings and pleasures and natural tastes! These should be cheerfully and readily sacrificed, in order to do good and save souls.

The wives of ministers should live devoted, prayerful lives. But some would enjoy a religion in which there are no crosses, and which calls for no self-denial and exertion on their part. Instead of standing nobly for themselves, leaning upon God for strength, and bearing their individual responsibility, they have much of the time been dependent upon others, deriving their spiritual life from them. If they would only lean confidingly, in childlike trust, upon God, and have their affections centered in Jesus, deriving their life from Christ, the living vine, what an amount of good they might do, what a help they might be to others, what a support to their husbands; and what a reward would be theirs in the end! “Well done, good and faithful servant,” would fall like sweetest music upon their ears. The words, “Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord,” would repay them a thousand times for all the suffering and trials endured to save precious souls.—Testimonies for the Church 1:451-453.

    *****

If married men go into the work, leaving their wives to care for the children at home, the wife and mother is doing fully as great and important a work as is the husband and father. While one is in the missionary field, the other is a home missionary, whose cares and anxieties and burdens frequently far exceed those of the husband and father. The mother’s work is a solemn and important one,—to mould the minds and fashion the characters of her children, to train them for usefulness here, and to fit them for the future immortal life.

The husband, in the open missionary field, may receive the honor of men, while the home toiler may receive no earthly credit for her labor; but if she works for the best interests of her family, seeking to fashion their characters after the divine Model, the recording angel writes her name as one of the greatest missionaries in the world.

    *****

The minister’s wife may be a great help to her husband in seeking to lighten his burden, if she keeps her own soul in the love of God. She can teach the Word to her children. She can manage her own household with economy and discretion. United with her husband she can educate her children in habits of economy, teaching them to restrict their wants.

It is better to trust in God then to put confidence in man. Psalms 118:8
Adventists should concentrate on the promotion of the three angels' messages of Rev. 14:6-12 MEMORIZE THEM!  - especially the 3rd angels message right now. WORSHIP HIM! Rev 14:7:

    2) Give glory to Him
    3) Worship Him (we cannot worship Him in 501c3 churches today!) “Let both grow together until the harvest” TM45. - Both the tares and the wheat grow together UNTIL THE HARVEST. The harvest message is to COME OUT/GO OUT of apostasy!

Those who go out of Apostasy to bear the Ark of the Lord literally in their own bodies/minds, they practice the present truth for their time, giving by a living example to others. This is the remnant that escapes from Adventism, the 144,000 who are alive at this time and their children, the Sons and Daughters of God, aka "guests" of the gospel wedding feast, the food at the feast is the Word of God, the Bread, and the blood of Christ, that courses through their spiritual veins, the new covenant promise, the quickened Spirit of Christ/Character of Christ begotten believer.

    Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude (part of this great multitude are children (Sons and Daughters of God) of the Bridegroom and Bride=144,000 = Spirit-begotten believers from 1844 until probation closes for the world aka "guests" of the wedding supper), which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

The UNVEILING OF THE BRIDE (144,000) HAPPENS AT THE LEGISLATION OF THE SUNDAY LAW.

Adventist Review, 3/5/1981.  “In AMAZEMENT they hear the testimony that Babylon is the church, fallen because of her errors and sins, because of her rejection of the truth (bright light setup in the beginning of Adventism - "Others rashly denied the light behind them, and said it was not God (trinity 501c3 SDA believers/members) that had led them out so far ("in 1841, '42, '43, and '44" 15MR 317.1). The light behind them went out, leaving their feet in perfect darkness (501c3 SDA members since 1936!), and they stumbled and lost sight of the mark and of Jesus, and fell off the path down into the dark and wicked world below." TESTIMONIES FOR THE CHURCH VOLUME 1, PAGE 59) sent to her from Heaven." –{Ellen G. White, in Spirit of Prophecy, vol 4, p 424 or Great Controversy, p 606-607}.

    "The truths that we received in 1841, '42, '43, and '44 are now to be studied and proclaimed. The messages of the first, second, and third angels will in the future be proclaimed with a loud voice. They will be given with earnest determination and in the power of the Spirit." {15MR 317.1}

Ellen White is very critical of Seventh day Adventists who have HAD GREAT light but NOT WALKED IN IT. I've put some quotes here about that: https://sites.google.com/site/theendtimewarning/stay-on-the-ship/stay-with-the-laodiean-foolish-virgin-ship

Revelation 7:2.) Seal Is a Settling Into Truth—Just as soon as the people of God are sealed in their foreheads—it is not any seal or mark that can be seen, but a settling into the truth, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved—just as soon as God’s people are sealed and prepared for the shaking, it will come. Indeed, it has begun already; the judgments of God are now upon the land, to give us warning, that we may know what is coming (Manuscript 173, 1902).
